“I'm so happy we found this place. Love this style of Mexican restaurants. Staff was so friendly as soon as we arrived, and I loved the look and feel of this classic style that is well kept. “We decided to try this new bar after a recommendation from a friend. Our 1st impression wasn't the greatest from the graffiti on the front glass. But as we entered thru the back alley we realized it was very nice and open inside. They had several tv's to catch your favorite game and a great sound system. But our favorite part had to be the surprising delicious food menu. This wasn't your typical bar food menu. We had the chicken samosa's, Jalapeno poppers and lamb kabob. Everything was made fresh unlike most bars where the foods frozen from smart and final. They went above and beyond to make it a unique dining experience. So if you're ever in the canoga park area. Give this place a try. Oh and our bartender Jennifer was great! Very attentive and always checked to see if we needed anything. We'll definitely be back soon!“

“Work right across from here so this place is one of my go-tos for lunch. Never actually sat down and ate inside even though the energy is always feels good. I've gotten just fries from this place about 4-5 times. There's a reason i've gotten it 4-5 times. They're crispy, always fresh and well seasoned. They also give you three sauces: spicy mayo, garlic aioli, and honey mustard. All are amazing and my favorite is mixing all the sauces and putting them on top of the fries. I've also orders the mozzarella sticks and the classic burger, no cheese, lettuce tomato and pickles. The mozzarella sticks are big and the cheese stretch is perfect. For the burger I didn't care much for the bun but the taste of the burger was amazing. I always come back and will always come back.“

I like the decore, pennies under resin on the oak bar, bathrooms are nice since the refurbishing. Prime Pizza walking distance (a lil far but not bad). Park across the street. Coffee place I haven’t been to a few doors down that closes shortly after this place opens. Lazy Daisy breakfast location right next door. Street parking at meters, or park down in the neighborhood south on the cross streets, not far at all. Sometimes I park and jog at the park then stop here. Also I like the jukebox app they got going. There’s also back alley parking and entrance. They just started offering pretzel, dog, snacks, I used to have to go to grey block pizza, now prime pizza. There are other Mexican, fast food, and 7/11 joints nearer. There’s a Whole Foods less than a block away too.“

“I'm an Irish guy from Glendale and a US veteran to boot, been to a lot of restaurants and bars... this pub is wonderful. Love the food, atmosphere, and people that work there are great peps. The owner is a super friendly guy "Willy" and was always walking around talking to people, like a good business owner will do. No wonder this bar has been and is a staple for Santa Monica. “Came here to watch some college football. Very nice mellow atmosphere, fantastic service and very accommodating when asked to put on a certain game. Three of the four that came with ordered an outstanding nachos plate and I had the chicken avocado salad which was really just okay. I'll try something different next time. Parking is available in a paid lot but the machines weren't working the day I was there. Street parking is also available (read the signs) and there's also metered street parking.“

“I haven't got s chance to visit but the delivery service is great! I usually order a lasagna, and it is so fulfilling and yummy! I usually called to place the order over the phone and the customer service is always amazing. “Driven past this spot for years. So I decided to take the plunge, so to speak and have a go at it. I tried their fish and chips, and they were amazing. The portions were awesome and well priced. The service was fast and friendly. It was pretty busy, but my food was out pretty quick. The peri peri sauce was a new find for me and I'll get that in the future. Their menu is wide ranging, and the beer and drink menu looks quite extensive as well. Also, the bar itself is pretty cool, and lots of rugby memorabilia there too. Pretty cool crowd. For the price, the food is a great value as well as the drinks.My only complaint is that the music is way too loud for the size of the space. Or am I just getting old?“

“Islands is a classic family favorite. I miss the giant birds that they had at the old location back in the day, however the modern day Islands is fresh take on the beachy island vibe of yesteryear. They have a spacious outdoor patio, bar space and plenty of booths inside. The menu has changed quite a bit over time (they have a burrito on the menu now?), but they are typically known for their burgers and fries. Their fries are so good and they always come in a large portion. I can never get enough! I ordered the big wave and the kid's burger for my son. For your burger you have a choice of bun (wheat or white) or you can do it lettuce wrapped. I thought the kids menu had a lot of great options for littles. My son really liked his side of pineapple! However his burger was SO salty. It was saltier than my big wave burger was, so not sure if this was a fluke or the kids burgers are just saltier. Didn't love it. I enjoyed my big wave. It's exactly what you would expect and the veggies on it tasted crisp and fresh. Service was great too! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Overall the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere is enjoyable. I come here more for the nostalgia of it but I do crave their fries often!“

“The starbar is right next door to the u haul location where I Frequently I've been going to in the last couple weeks. Because I'm moving out of my house. I've never been to this establishment, but I hear the owners are really good people and they have couple t. Vs, and I'm sure they have really good drinks. I don't drink myself but I'm sure others do and would find this place relaxing although it is on. Deventure itself and when you're next to a busy street. You do get a lot of bad air from cars and tires. But other than that it's a great place.“
