“Reasonable selections at good prices. The salad bar is expensive at $6 per order. They have a variety of pre-made salads and sandwiches to go or they can make it fresh to go. Only been during dinner time a couple of times. The short order items generally picked through. The main course items are ok to good. Clean facility with plenty of seating. Service staff is friendly. Overall it beats out food court, bowling ally grub and fast foods which seems to dominate all military installations. I give it four stars because of this. Much healthier and better atmosphere“

Each complimented the dishes well! I started with the oysters on a half shell which normally I would not get! They were so fresh and the sauce just made them pop! Next I had the whipped feta and beat salad and that was perfectly balanced with flavors! The brut sparkling I had went well with both! For my main course I had the braised short rib stroganoff with the reserve Merlot and wow it all melted in my mouth! The flavors were superb! For dessert I couldn't choose between the decadent chocolate cake with my home town Humboldt creamy ice-cream or the berry lemon cheese cake so I got both! I enjoyed a glass of Malbec with them and it was a great finish! I think the berries on the lemon cheese cake would be delicious with even the chocolate cake! The waiter was cordial and carried himself well! It was such a treat to find this place! I will def return and bring people when I visit the area again! “This was a great place to stop and have breakfast. My wife had the steak and eggs. I had the "Man size" Hamburger steak and eggs grilled to perfection ? I really enjoyed it. They accommodated our adjustments for eating keto style by offering cottage cheese and tomato slices. I can really see the care and attention of this family owned business. We will stop every time when we pass through. This is good clean whole foods. The staff was awesome and super polite. The prices were very good.“

“I have been coming here for years now. Each time, the food is served fresh, hot, well seasoned, and delicious. We arrived near the opening time, so there was no wait in line. We were greeted and seated immediately. The wait staff arrived within minutes to take our drink order. Today, for main entrees, we picked red beans & rice along with the shrimp po boy. The serving sizes here are well above average. The football game was on the big screen tv while mowtown music played in the background, giving a nice soulful ambiance. The wait staff is always friendly and courteous. There is plenty of free parking on the street or in the side parking lot. Willl most definitely come again. Highly recommend to anyone.“

“First time coming here, definitely will be back again. Had the chicken/rice/avocado/eggs breakfast meal with sourdough bread and coffee. It was a very good and seriously filling breakfast, I had to save half of it for later. They offer 10% military discount. Parking is out front of the restaurant, to the side is an Autozone so there is plenty to choose from, but you might have troubles parking close on a busy day. Staff was friendly and attentive. Meals were not expensive, even without the mil discount.“

I love their country scramble and their hash browns are always cooked to perfection.I've never been to a Méls and had anything but exceptional service. They take care of you. They wait staff are very attentive to their tables when the food comes out It's hot or cold based on what it is,but it's always good. When I'm traveling I usually get food to go. But if There's a Mel's in town I don't hesitate to belly up to the bar. There are always friendly people to strike up a conversation with so you won't be eating alone. “Location is right inside pass the Quality Inn. Lots of parking. They had a live band at 9pm on a Friday night and the place definitely filled up. We were a group that hung out I'm the pool table area which had a jukebox and 3 pool tables. We ordered the food upfront and food and drinks were brought to us in a timely manner. Note the salad is huge huge huge! Hubby and I split it and our to go container was still pretty full. The tater skins were super delicious as well. Happy hour is until 7pm and we just made it after so didn't get to take advantage of that. Overall great food I'm a hidden place!“

Our food was brought out 37 minutes later, as indicated by the timer set on my phone. We ordered the usual appetizers/starters along with entrées.The booths typically accommodate five "full-sized and average" people. Last time we dined here at Texas Roadhouse, we were given a booth, and I didn't have enough elbow space to cut my food because we were literally shoulder-to-shoulder.I understand it's a steakhouse, not fine dining, but the noise level is akin to being in a dance club!Thank goodness the Fairfield location stopped giving out peanuts. People throwing peanuts on the ground like uncivilized behavior was an eyesore, and I empathize with the servers and staff having to clean up the heinous mess on the restaurant grounds!I insisted on a table, and phoning in to request one is another ordeal. Consistent busy signals and hearing the Verizon lady calmly informing me that the restaurant number is not reachable.Come and dine in for the complimentary bread rolls with sweetened cinnamon butter along with the delicious entrées. Make a swift exit to save your ears and hearing!Parking: The lot is spacious; however, if planning to dine around busy times, come early to find spot(s). Otherwise you'll have to "hunt for your parking spot" and trail around people like shopping at Costco during peak hours!“
