“The view is great in the summer, but not in winter, when sunset is 5 pm. \n\nIt was chilly inside (not unusual for Humboldt County restaurants).\n\nThe food quality was good, the portions were HUGE.\n\nThe wait staff seemed stretched thin, but overall they worked hard to get everyone taken care of.\n\nThe wine selection is surprisingly limited, only one or 2 options for any given wine type. The night we were there, they were totally out of chardonnay.\n\nOverall, we had a nice meal there.”

“I attended Moonstone Grill as part of a wedding party. I was actually photographing the wedding, but the couple invited myself and my officiant/husband to join. The food was surprisingly good and the views were amazing. The staff was very accommodating for our larger party and even held and served the cake the couple cut at the end of the wedding celebration. I would definitely recommend this spot for groups both big and small!”

“One of the few (only?) places in McKinleyville that offers a large assortment of baked goods and pastries alongside excellent coffee. There are usually a few savory sandwiches offered as well.

We were particularly impressed by the fact that the iced coffee includes coffee ice cubes, yay!

“We love the Sweet Spot! Doing laundry is pleasant in the safe and open atmosphere. It’s nice to pop in a load of laundry and in the same place (!!!) grab a bagel or fresh baked good in the ice cream parlor and sit outside while your wash gets done.”

“wow the crew in the deli here that does the sushi rolls ... amazing went in here early and the lady behind counter asked if I found what I was looking for and I mentioned I really like the California spicy crunchy roll which there was none she had the gentleman doing the sushi bust one out fresh for me ! so good so affordable and top notch customer service great job !”
