“Motel was very nice, clean, good parking and efficient check in. Cafe Restaurant in process of remodel so food selection somewhat limited. Gambling was enjoyable. Location and view excellent of Elk River Valley.”
“Got the burrito oaxaqueño and it was on the best burrito I have had in Humboldt. Tasted very home made and made me feel great all day! Horchata was also very refreshing and creamy, definitely worth trying. Huge fan of their salsa, i might see if I can get a drink size cup of the salsa next time I go!”
“A great place to get high quality meals "like mama makes em". The servers are always so friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. There are several food restrictions in my family and they are always mindful. The lighting and comfort level are perfect during a rainy day; did I mention their coffee? Never had a bad coffee from them, and I'm picky. Perfectly priced, I usually share a meal with my partner since their portions are so big. One of our favorite spots in Fortuna!”
“This is such a lovely place for a beautiful cast iron pot of loose leaf tea and a snack! And you will be shocked by how reasonably priced everything is, too. Mind's Eye is beautifully decorated to make you feel cozy and relaxed, and the service is as kind and friendly as could be. They have an extensive tea and coffee menu, fresh baked goods, $1 cinnamon toast "the way Mom used to make", a soup option with yummy buttered toast, and a panini option, but only on select days (Fri, Sat, & Sun I believe).”
“Great food, glad someone recommended this place while I was in town! The other place I went to the previous day wasn't nearly as good. Today I had the garlic prawn burrito and it was fantastic, very unique too! The guy working there was super friendly too, this is the kind of place I love supporting!”
“Good food from Good people. My kids and I love coming here because it has a family atmosphere. The owners are always welcoming and their food is so delicious- from the spam musubi to the cheese puffs to the brocolli beef to their shaved ice- always on point. It was hard to replace Amy Delight's friendly service but Island Delight is the perfect place to continue the home like vibe restaurant at this location.”
“Still the best place for breakfast. Not a great location, but made up by the excellent service, broad menu choices and terrific cooks. I always have enough left for another meal or two. Love this place.”
“Great vegan options! They have vegan cream cheese, vegan sausage, and, above all, fire vegan donuts!!Beyond all that, the bagels are top quality for the area - they deserve the “NY” label. I will bring my family here for generations unless my wife leaves me for the donuts. Just kidding! She already left me ?”
“Go here. Visited may 2023. Really good consistently, just what you want when craving a hot dog! Good fries and a shake too! Hasn’t changed the decor in forever (good thing)!Kid-friendliness: A+”
“We stopped by for lunch on a recommendation from a business owner on the square. Did not disappoint. Our waiter was great and the food was delicious. I loved that our waiter wrapped up our sandwiches to take to-go for us. We all had the other half for dinner. Great place for kids as well. Salad bar is small (in a good way-everything super fresh) and it was nostalgic in the best way. Will definitely return the next time we travel through that area.”
“Love this food truck! It has become a weekly taco Tuesday spot after our discovery of their street tacos...mmmm...carne asada...mmm! They also make a spectacular chili relleno which you don't often see at a food truck. It is puffy and cheesy but not greasy. Better than most brick-n-mortar establishments!”
“What a gem! Authentic Jamaican food and atmosphere in an unexpected place! We stopped on our way up the coastal highway for lunch and it was such a treat! We got jerk chicken tacos, acee and saltfish, mac and cheese, coconut rice, plantains. The spice level was just right for our family of four—even the teenagers liked it. I’m not from Jamaica but lived in south Florida for four years and this was every bit as tasty as the jerk chicken and other Jamaican food we ate in FL.”
“Man, what a gem. There's clearly at least one highly trained chef working behind the scenes here. Spectacular cuisine. And the young lady serving the five of us was a fount of knowledge and very, very helpful. It was one of those dining experiences that stays with you.Great job folks!Vegetarian options: My wife's vegetarian and she was thrilled with options and quality.”
“First of all we got there 5 minutes before they closed and they still let me and my husband and 2 of our kids stay. I had the burger and homemade onion rings they were so good. One of the best burgers I've had in a while and, my husband had linguica with eggs, potatoes and gluten free toast, he really enjoyed his too. My boys had French toast breakfast and my 8 year old son had chicken sandwich with veggie soup, he loved his sandwich, he said I give them 5 stars! Friendly staff, clean restaurant, cloth napkins, breakfast served all day! Would definitely come back when in the area!”
“Surprisingly good place in a nondescript strip mall. Everyone in our party of 7 was satisfied. My kids loved the chicken tamale plate. I had tacos of lengua and asada that were both really good. The salsas and chips were yum, especially the smokey red salsa. Rice and beans were on point. The fish taco was slightly bland, but the freshness and homemade everything, including tortillas, more than made up for that. I would definitely come back to try more.”
“Fiesta veg burrito was amazingly delicious! The crazy fries were decent but not as “crazy”.The Jamaican hibiscus tea was very refreshing!Service was good and quick. The menu is creative and offers many options. The restaurant is spacious.Would recommend their fiesta burrito.”
“I had the most AMAZING freshly cooked burger?...I am a picky eater...so when I tell you I ENJOYED my deluxe blue cheese burger....it's a MUST I had the pleasure of meeting the owner as well...She was very welcoming and kind! This little town is simply adorbs??”
“We love this place. Very friendly. Good drinks and good food. The reason it didn't get a five is because there have been times on Friday nights where it took a long time to get our food. They have started opening for lunch with special things on the menu. Happy hour starts at 4:00 I believe. You can get a full dinner with all the trimmings and appetizers. Easily splitable. Just order the extra plate and a side salad. Conveniently once again we are going there tonight. See you there!”
“Food was unique and flavorful. Atmosphere (with a band and locals chattering) was hypnotic, taking you to a place in time where good vibes reverberated through your soul. Ambiance was equally warm.”
“As someone who is a scratch cook I can honestly say this % the best breakfast place I have ever been to . Not only does the owner(Cherie) walk around and check in with you , but if you are a fun kind of person she will replicate your attitude back The food is always fresh hot and amazingly delicious . All staff are extremely kind , swift and a wealth of information on the food choices My wife totally loves the Mexican Potatoes and Stuff . I have a special spot for the stuffed French toast - unlike most every other place I have been to across the country the stuffed French toast have the perfect balance of sweetness not to much and not to little . Today I had the Pancake tacos , they are a fun little breakfast food for child and adults alike . Never once have we had a bad experience or meal at Hot Brew Bistro . If you are ever passing thru or live in the area and have not been to Hot Brew Bistro you should stop in for a down home good cooked meal and a great family experience The one and only bad thing is today is our last time coming to Hot Brew Bistro as we moved to South Carolina last year and we were only back visiting for a week . This is our last trip to CA and the lost coast area Thank you for all the great food and wonderful times”
“Very good crunchy crust. The salad bar was very fresh with lots of options. The calzone crust was also really crunchy, just perfect. I would recommend without hesitation.”
“Live from New York pizza used to be the best pizza back in the 90s and early 2000s. It's really hit or miss nowadays. Every once in a while you get a good slice of cheese pizza that tastes just the way it did in the 90s. I really think the inconsistency needs to be addressed. I did use to smoke a lot of pot when I'd go there and now I don't. Maybe they should do CBD Pizza cause it did used to taste better when I was baked.”
“Try their cinnamon roll. One of the best I’ve ever had. They have other stuff, but I would say if you are gonna try one thing, go with the cinnamon roll. It’s big enough for 2 people to share. Super cute place, and super nice ladies that run it, you feel like you are at grandmas house. ONLY OPEN FRIDAY SATURDAY SUNDAY !”
“Good food and great friendly efficient service. I really like the Bistec a la Mexicana. The chips and salsa are good. I haven't tried much else on the menu yet.”
“I'm coming back again ! I was really surprised to stumble across this place, amazing fresh food super clean setting freshly remodeled, if you like horchata you got to try theirs it's out of this world..”
“CONSISTENT delicious food... Love their food..... Great waitresses.... ( Debbie and Sam) ..... Good coffee. I had a Ortega chili and roast beef sandwich.... Julie had Cinnamon toast that was the perfect amount of butter, cinnamon and sugar .... David had their breakfast with two eggs, biscuits and gravy and bacon..... Really liked their simple understated Easter decor.... We really recommend Chalet .....”
“As usual, I was delighted with a fantastic meal and service. Sweet Potatoes Fries, Salad and Pizza were amazing as usual. The Mussels were also good, but were a tad done and could use a bit more shallots for my taste, but the broth was still very appetizing!”
“Have had consistently great sandwiches here. Good pesto sandwiches & killer salmon chowder. The breakfast sandwiches are great & people are talking about the biscuits & gravy.”
“Victor is so unbelievably cool its immeasurable. Yeah it's a good In-N-Out (double double animal style always delivers) but holy heck this guy is just having such an amazing good time I can't describe it. 10/10.”
“Here before one of the concerts great food sat at the bar first waited for our table The bartender was amazing nice full of information she was on it too and then we got our table and got and it smelled good and looked amazing and we didn't wait very long for any of it and the staff was very friendly and it was a very super clean and the ambience was absolutely romantic and amazing.Parking: Pretended the Rivers edge grill & bar there's always been very optional parking yet even though I do get handicapped they're still is optional parking other than handicap.Wheelchair accessibility: It's very interesting that when I went and I couldn't make it around they offer wheelchairs so that's pretty amazing cuz not everywhere does that.”
