Other reviews complain about the service. The service was a little slow but the server was great. The food was excellent. We had the labneh, tuna carpaccio, and steak frites. Very nice views as well.
Gonzalo truly set the tone for an exceptional experience at the Living Room Lodge (LRL) at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. Warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive, he made us feel genuinely cared for, from start to finish. His hospitality felt effortless and heartfelt — and the heavenly vanilla latte he crafted came with a smile that made it even more special. The Living Room offers a great atmosphere and excellent service, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The menu features a fantastic burger, great side salad, and delicious brisket nachos. Although some dishes may lack flavor, the restaurant's kid-friendly environment and exceptional service make up for it. With a great lobby to hang out in, the Living Room is a good choice, despite being on the pricier side.
The servers are friendly, and the food is fine, though a bit pricey. Diners should be aware that a 20% tip is included in the bill, which some may have missed. The Caesar salad is a standout dish, with crisp romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, and garlic croutons, dressed in a velvety Caesar dressing that perfectly balances crunch and creaminess.
