“This sushi restaurant is high quality! I ordered the seaweed salad and it had just the right amount of texture and flavor. The gyōza was good but the dipping sauce saved it. I got the golden dragon roll and I was pleasantly surprised. The fish was fresh and the spicy mayo was tangy. The fried squid was chewy but crispy.“

“One of our favorite spots. We have brought several friends and family and boast about the incredible food and service. Only disappointment is the bathrooms. Such a beautiful location with very poor kept bathrooms. Tonight we have a reservation for 2 and got offered high top or the table next to the bathroom when every table but 3 were open. We try to make our date nights special tonight was disappointing with these options. (We reluctantly chose the table next to the bathroom) Our server Priscilla was so sweet she made up for it. But even when we were leaving there were still empty tables. It’s the little things like that, that will make us rethink our choice next time.“

“The Golden China Restaurant has a lot of 5 star reviews so we decided to stop there on our way back from Lake Topaz. We had a mixed experience. The easy part is cleanliness which I rated as 5 star under 'Atmosphere'. Golden China is as clean as restaurant can be. Both bathrooms were operating table spotless on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Our expectations for the food may have been too high from the previous reviews. It's standard Chinese-American food. I am a fan of this style of cuisine, but I am not sure how you make it '5 Star'. I had Seafood Chow Fun. (This was not on their menu, but they were happy to make it when I requested it.) It was good (pictured). I would have liked a few more scallops, but I always want more scallops.

Price for 2 with 1 beer was $45.15 after tax. I would eat at the Golden China again, but I would not drive out of my way to do so.“

“We dined here on a Tuesday night as the only customer dining in the restaurant. They had
multiple to go orders while were there, as I believe this is the norm for earlier in the week. We have dined here on fri and sat and there are more dine in patrons. The tables are set up nice with cloth napkins and condiments on each one. We ordered the combo plates which arrived steaming hot and tasty, with plenty of leftovers for the next day. My only concern was the gung pow chicken had more vegetables and peanuts than chicken. The chicken was cut up very small and difficult to find among the veggies. My husbands sweet and sour pork were large enough pieces that he asked for a knife to cut it bite size.This is our favorite Chinese restaurant, however I will order another protein next time.“

“Variety, good food, good clean quality food and very nice portions, for fair price. Chill atmosphere, good service. We ordered a beef steak pho and beef pad Thai with a side of rice to go, even got a side of chopped thai chili's after asking for it. Good option to keep in rotation for take out when craving Asian.“

“I went here expecting budget-friendly sushi and that’s what I got. Similar to Safeway sushi where the cuts of fish are thinner than usual. The rice with the nigiri tasted strongly of rice vinegar.

The next plate we got was Teriyaki Combination Plate. The flavor of the noodles was excellent although the chicken texture was pretty dry. I wish the portions were bigger.

Overall, I would stick to the plates and not go towards the sushi. It’s best to go to a dedicated sushi restaurant for that part.
I wish they were open on weekends! I’m sure most of the business would come from those days.

“If I can say one thing about Authentic Street Taco (AST), it would be that THEY DELIVERED. Literally and figuratively. We absolutely over ordered and we could not be happier about it. AST was our end of the night caterer (Wedding on 12/21/24, for reference). We chose to have the food dropped off & set it up in buffet style. There were no unhappy guests & bonus, what we took home, we enjoyed the next night! As a matter of fact, we had some leftover quesadillas (don't know how that happened), so we froze them & later threw into an air fryer & OMG it was amazing. Needless to say, we HIGHLY recommend. Excellent food, excellent communication, & excellent service. Thank you, Authentic Street Taco!!“

If you have a few people to feed and are on a tight budget, this is the place to go. We ordered a cheese-stuffed crust pizza. The associate was very attentive and helpful when we asked questions such as what type of ingredients were available. He said it would be about 15 minutes and guess what it took 15 minutes for the pizza to be ready. Just in time! The pizza smelled great and hot right out of the oven. The ingredients tasted fresh. We have 2 locations in Turlock and this one has the best service by far!

“I've had at least half of their menu, and everything is delicious. Especially their carnitas. One of the few places that makes them well. Only had a chunk of fat one time in the past 7 years, and to me, a mouth full of chewy fat is why i dont return to most places. Not to mention, the carnitas are crispy on the outside but soft and tender on the inside, not dried out. You won't be disappointed!“
