“This is the MOST UNUSUAL 4-star review I have ever written:
After I got home (San Rafael) from my visit, I did look at the ratings barcode and my experience tells me that’s what I should have expected. Here I go:
When I walked this empty joint, ONE of five employees who was not assigned to in-store customers gave me a chill fully welcoming resonant “good morning:)” and glanced at me with a smile each time she went by me doing her work. The other four including the two whose work had something to do with me were all status-quo clockIn/clockOuts. The empty spaciousness gave me a strange feeling. And, on this trip where I just learned that Starbucks serves Oat Milk (which I ordered on mental default as I do in non-Starbucks coffee joints), it probably was dairy milk due to its thickness and my stomach’s reaction which was fortunately mild. I can’t take dairy lattes like I was able to do in my younger years. For the most part this is a lower 2-stars review. The impression I got of the 1 inviting staff member is that she is aware of negative reviews. I’ve been writing Google reviews for over 10 years starting from my days as a traveling mover as just a weird addictive hobby. I quote this Starbucks as my “43rd” after visiting the other 2 Ukiah Starbucks’ on this same work trip. Hey I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish by visiting all 3 of the Starbucks’. I wish I was spoiled with nothing but real 5-star experiences everywhere. And, despite this actually being a 2-star experience, I found it really unique to see how the relaxed inviting girl did all she can do within her restraints due to her assigned duties to play her part in fighting off a negative that she saw coming from me. As a traveling reviewer, I found that a unique way to wrap-up a strange-reasoned goal to accomplish, especially that it was an almost 7-mile (an hour long) skateboarding round trip from the Holiday Inn Express, yet the best Starbucks was the closest and most en route to my hotel. The Perkins Street one that came short of comparison to the previously mentioned “near Walmart” one basically played its part in this Ukiah unique triple Starbucks story — a table setter for this one. And, the 1 confident “negative review hater” at this one made this time consuming to receive general 2-star experience of this one worth it. Unique stories like this are what some, such as myself, would actually like to witness when traveling.“
“We picked up two medium
Caramel Macchiato hot coffees this day. We have always had a good experience, but today was different! My friends order, she said , was okay. However, my experience was a little different. As I was sipping I noticed a weird taste. In checking it out I found that there were a LOT of grounds floating through the coffee. The grounds took a long time to melt down which ended up with me drinking a good amount of grounds. Was this th ene of the pot - so to speak? I have never experienced this at Starbucks too often. But I will be rethinking my purchases in the future!“
““5” Starbucks. This en-route (work and hotel) Starbucks joint in Ukiah explains very well why Starbucks is so huge a month after a joke of a visit to a smaller downtown located coffee joint. The route with chaotic auto company lowered my expectations quite a bit. When I came in, I saw 2 calmly on-the-ball baristas waiting to welcome me while handing the drive-thru customers. I will quote this as “my 41st” different Starbucks: one in Beaumont CA east of Riverside 2and(1/2) years ago quoted as my 40th. Great happy service made me happy😊☕“
“My “42nd” different Starbucks only 2 days after my 41st was caught in a shadow (the one on Airport Park Blvd by Walmart). I had pre planned a stop at this Starbucks at some point on my 3-day work trip. Since the Ukiah Brewery’s desserts were too big, I chose to stop here: DONE! On the skateboarding route, I had to get off the board because of a tweaker on the sidewalk. And, the service was good not great and there was something about the atmosphere that I didn’t like. I’m glad they had the brownie and Dubai Chocolate Bite. They worked well with my hotel’s microwave and my last glass of wine. Through the route as I almost forgot the idea of this Starbucks, I still was able turn back towards it and still take care of an important part of the work stuff on this trip. When I got to my hotel, one of my 2 favorite concierges was on duty. There I would have had a better more fun experience buying an Ice Cream Sandwich or a Drumstick, but I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish by claiming credit for visiting a second of Ukiah’s 3 Starbucks’. I still am glad I chose the Perkins Street Starbucks in the Brewery’s dessert situation; I did something that I wanted to do. Too bad the timing situation didn’t allow me to take a photo to post.“
