“Food was good, ambiance was nice and service was excellent. For me, the place was too loud. If you do not mind, I can recommend the place. Just make sure you come early. They do not take reservations and the line was long.“
“5 star to most of the food 1 star for some. I love home state and have eaten at several locations for the last 7 years. I was really excited when the Santa Monica store opened. My favorite tacos always have the brisket. I’ve now had 2 different brisket tacos on two different occasions and the brisket was so salty it was not edible. Both times ordered in. Really disappointing. First time I ordered both the brisket and the trinity were not edible due to salt. This go around brisket was barely edible due to the salt content snd was cold. Luckily the other food was delicious. I hope they can get their brisket recipe right at this location because it is not something I can order again currently. This is coming from someone who in the past has gone out of my way for this taco.“

“This is an easy spot when you want a casual sit-down meal and nobody wants to overthink dinner. The menu has enough variety for everyone, whether you’re getting burgers, fajitas, chicken crispers, pasta, appetizers, drinks, or just something simple with family. I like that it works for a quick meal, a casual dinner, or grabbing food after running around Encino. Like most chain restaurants, the service and wait can depend on how busy it is, but overall it’s a reliable place when you want familiar food and a relaxed meal.“

“I LOVE TACOS!!! And these are the best. The brisket taco and potatoe taco are off the charts delicious. The guac is also amazing.The staff is always super welcoming, offering ideas on what's new. I brought a friend here last week and he was blown away!! It's those brisket tacos. Don't believe me... get in and try them. You won't be disappointed“
