“Favorite local place for craft cocktails. The bartenders here know their craft and they stock hard to find liquor that most local places don’t have. On my most recent visit I ordered a La Louisiana which in addition to whiskey and vermouth also requires Benedictine and Absinthe, which most local bars here don’t carry.“

“When I used to frequent this place, the aspect that I truly appreciated was the speedy service they offered, especially when compared to other establishments. It was often quite challenging to have drinks promptly served elsewhere. Moreover, one of the highlights of visiting this bar was the engaging nature of the customers. They enjoyed interacting with me, striking up conversations, and creating a lively atmosphere“

“This dive bar had such a cool vibe going on when I arrived. I was amazed! It was mid-day on a Friday and the place had many friendly patrons come in for a drinks while I was there. Check this place out, across the street from the Ventura Theater!“

“Last visit was a Friday evening shortly after opening so I'm not sure that all of the normal staff was up and running at the time. Also customers stopping our server to ask a whole load of questions while he was on the way to get our eating utensils, and him obliging them while we wait 5 minutes + looking patiently at our food in front of us. It's not rude to say I'll be right back to help you.“

“We had a great time have dinner during summer evening. We sat outside for happy hour. I found it a bit warm inside. Outside offer a nice breeze to keep us cool. Food was delicious and filling. We ordered the LINGUINE WITH CLAMS

black mussels, Fire-roasted tomato broth, Spanish chorizo, queso fresco, garlic bread with and CHIPOTLE SHRIMP TACO.“

“Amazing patio view! We have our favorite things: fish sandwich, fried scallops, sesame salmon salad, seafood pasta. My dad's fave is the clam chowder and sourdough bread. All delish. They also carry on tap Figueroa Mountain's Danish Red, one of our favorite brews. Staff is really great: As we slooowly exited with my mom using her walker, at least five employees smiled and thanked us for coming and wished us a great evening. ❤️“

“Best neighborhood bar in town! All of the bartenders are amazing, the owners and staff are friendly and fun, and they work hard to make this an all inclusive, comfortable spot for a quick drink after work or really get your party on with live music on the weekends. They have taco and trivia on Tuesdays, game nights on Wednesday, Tiki drink Thursdays and Monday is potluck and karaoke. There's always something happening at The Garage Bar!“

“I thought the Clam Chowder and the Calamari and the cocktail were really good, I do have a beef with how expensive the tacos are for only two tacos. They're good but not that good. It's more like $20-30 per person. Ambience is great though. That sun feels so good. Plenty of places to sit outside.“

“Our group of 6 ordered three pastas, 2 salads, 2 apps (all to eat family style), and had a few cocktails. I forgot to take photos because we were having a great time and conversation. They have $10 cocktails on the happy hour menu and we went on a Saturday around 4:45 (reserved the time) - pleasant surprise to see happy hour on a weekend! Overall, I thought the food was delicious and the cocktails are strong and tasty. The service was also fast and friendly - loved the timing of how each course was brought out. It is on the pricier side and the portions are not super large but if you want a nice treat in a very cute space, it's worth a try!“

“Excellent tacos and location. Service is fast and friendly and the tacos are delicious and made fresh . We tried their shrimp grilled baha tacos and a ahi taco. Tacos were large and the fish was fresh and delicious . They offer a nice menu amd have Daily specials. The tacos were excellent. Well worth a visit. Loved it“

“When making reservations, be informed that if you decide to eat inside it is in the upstairs bar area. The music is loud and more for the younger patrons. That aside, the food was great!! Completely made up for the loud atmosphere. Next time it will be on the patio or wait downstairs for a table.“
