“My wife and I first tried out this place about 2 months prior to this review. The food, service, and fair prices made me come back and bring a friend. Salad: crisp, fresh produce like straight out of the garden. Sandwiches: hand-prepped, perfectly cooked and seasoned beef & lamb; perfectly baked sandwich rolls; peppers and onions perfectly finished. Baklava: super flaky with perfect sweet. This should not be confused with fast food. It is hand-cooked perfection. Staff obviously take pride in their work, so the service was great. Hmmmm...should I come back? YA THINK?“
“I walked by this place of number of times, even walked inside, but not gotten a Philly steak and cheese. But today I was really hankering, and I remembered this place. I asked the cashier is this going to be the Philly steak I've ever had outside of Philly, he immediately said yes . He was RIGHT!! They ship tge rolls from Philly!!! Clean and spacious inside with an outdoor patio“

“My husband and I absolutely LOVE Hungry Bear. Not only is the food high quality, but so are the people that own + operate this business. Every sandwich is big + BOMB. Our favorites are the chicken cordon blue and the cheese burger sub. We miss having the Escondido location near by, but it's worth the drive to Vista! “
