“our friends told us about the Golden Bowl Chinese Restaurant in Waterdord CA. it was a quick 11 mile drive from our home in Modesto CA. We were greeted when we walked in and seated at a booth. Our server and his assistant were very friendly. We started off with 2 egg rolls. They were hot and the dipping sauce was really good. I had the Garlic Chicken with steamed rice. My wife had the Szechwan Chicken with steamed rice. I was impressed with my garlic chicken, it had really good flavor and was a large portion. It reminded me of David Wongs China Gate in Modesto. so if you are in the Waterford area and craving Chinese food check out the Golden Bowl. The parking may be tight as there are a few businesses in this small strip mall.“

“I've been eating here for the whole time they've been open, and it has ALWAYS been fresh, delicious, clean food. I've spent the last decade telling people that they serve this clean, and I admit I turn my nose up at any other Chinese food place. “Hands downThis is the best chinese restaurant I found in the central valley so far. Normally , I don't need unhealthy food but I decided to go with orange chicken. They're portions were amazing, The orange chicken was not overly breaded or temporared, The chow chamaine was not greasy at all. For fifteen bucks This was at least two portions , a great deal.“

“I’m honestly surprised that I have not yet given this restaurant review. I moved to Ceres from the Bay Area five years ago and discovered it during Covid. It’s a small family owned restaurant with a variety of Asian style dishes, which include both Japanese and Chinese food we typically get the sushi or the rolls and everything and every time we’ve ever ordered they have been spectacularly delicious. The fish is very very fresh and each roll is unique. The sashimi is top-notch fresh seafood, and very generous cuts of sashimi. We love this restaurant. It’s nice and quite a place where local families can enjoy and relax. My kids and I truly enjoy this restaurant and the service is always very friendly and welcoming.“

“The Golden China Restaurant has a lot of 5 star reviews so we decided to stop there on our way back from Lake Topaz. We had a mixed experience. The easy part is cleanliness which I rated as 5 star under 'Atmosphere'. Golden China is as clean as restaurant can be. Both bathrooms were operating table spotless on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Our expectations for the food may have been too high from the previous reviews. It's standard Chinese-American food. I am a fan of this style of cuisine, but I am not sure how you make it '5 Star'. I had Seafood Chow Fun. (This was not on their menu, but they were happy to make it when I requested it.) It was good (pictured). I would have liked a few more scallops, but I always want more scallops.

Price for 2 with 1 beer was $45.15 after tax. I would eat at the Golden China again, but I would not drive out of my way to do so.“

“My family had to stop by here for a quick and late dinner after a long 9 hour trip. This place is amazing. Their staff is very nice as long as you communicate with them nicely and the food is very delicious. It has everything a Chinese restaurant needs and theres nothing more I would ask for. I only wish more people knew about and ate at this place.“

“Sonora location. Tried when first opened and few weeks ago. It was clean (new) and great service. Re-visited yesterday and totally the opposite! Counter was dirty, all food was low. It was 4 o’clock and not busy. The cook, other gentleman and waitress was very unprofessional and unsanitary! The cook, yes while wearing gloves, continued to touch dirty services and our food. At one point he had his cell phone in his hand looking at it while cooking our food. Phone back in dirty pocket, touching his hair then back to cooking our food! The conversation between the three of them were load and unprofessional. I was so ready to leave! Definitely won’t be returning anytime soon.“

“We dined here on a Tuesday night as the only customer dining in the restaurant. They had
multiple to go orders while were there, as I believe this is the norm for earlier in the week. We have dined here on fri and sat and there are more dine in patrons. The tables are set up nice with cloth napkins and condiments on each one. We ordered the combo plates which arrived steaming hot and tasty, with plenty of leftovers for the next day. My only concern was the gung pow chicken had more vegetables and peanuts than chicken. The chicken was cut up very small and difficult to find among the veggies. My husbands sweet and sour pork were large enough pieces that he asked for a knife to cut it bite size.This is our favorite Chinese restaurant, however I will order another protein next time.“

“Oakdale, if you haven't tried this place yet you are missing out!! Who would have guessed that there would be really good Vietnamese food in Oakdale?!?! This place is a little hole in the wall, nothing fancy, but the food is great and the people are nice. Go there now.“

“Panda is always a great go to. This panda express is very clean, the employees are happy to help you and The food is always fresh. I'm always very satisfied with this establishment. A big plus is that is has a drive thru which is a busy mammas saving grace at time.“
