“Great Food, Disappointing Service — A Missed Opportunity

Saltie Girl has a well-earned reputation for exceptional food, and in that regard, it delivered. Every dish that came out of the kitchen was flavorful and beautifully presented — the oysters, in particular, were a standout.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the service.

After ordering a bottle of wine, it took over 20 minutes for our server to return, only to inform us that the manager would be retrieving the wine. Another 10 minutes passed before she reappeared — not with the wine we ordered, but with a different, more expensive bottle. Rather than apologizing for the mix-up or offering it at the original price as a courtesy, the switch was presented matter-of-factly. A gesture of goodwill here would have gone a long way.

To make matters worse, our oyster order was mishandled — not once, but twice — with incorrect counts and missing varieties. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, these details matter. Guests expect not only excellent food, but also attentive, polished service to match.

In the end, the meal was delicious, but the experience left a bitter aftertaste. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and invests in training their staff. As much as I enjoyed the food, I won’t be returning until the service rises to the level of the kitchen. Dining here should feel seamless — not like a constant series of corrections.“

“We had an awesome date night at Amour WeHo. We started with caviar, escargot, and frog legs. We followed that with the burger and a Caesar salad with lobster. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with our dinner. The service was outstanding. All of the staff was great. This was our first visit and we are so happy that we found this place. “Seriously what a CUTE restaurant. For the ladies who love a gorgeous outdoor patio with delicious food and ambience, this is your spot! Be prepared to spend as this is a refined establishment despite the garden atmosphere. Everything we purchased was delectable, and although it was simple they have great wine selection. I will definitely be back! They also have valet so you don’t need to worry about parking.“

“Absolutely obsessed with Juniper at the 1 hotel, the ambiance vibe is spectacular! Great for relaxing, working, brunch, dinner with friends there’s a vibe for everything, the cocktails are pretty good and their truffle fries amazing! They also have a live band on some days and there’s valet! If you like taking pictures this is the best spot to do it.“

“So so good! Their basic house salad had a very clean, delicious taste with a lemon vinaigrette. We also got a cheese pizza and 10/10 would recommend. Was a thin crust pizza but good crispy crust, not too thin. I got a strawberry spritz, non-alcoholic drink that was fresh and my friend got the Espresso Martini. I'd never tried one before but had a sip and will absolutely get it next time, very smooth. The bartender was nice and attentive.“

“Came here after work for a little solo date night and it was perfect! I started with a happy hour glass of wine and a side of their olives while I read, which was such a nice way to unwind. I ended up staying for dinner and ordered the seasonal tofu curry bow, which was divine and bursting with flavor. To top it all off, I treated myself to their matcha chocolate cake, and it was the perfect sweet ending. Cozy vibes, great food, and a perfect spot to relax solo or with friends!“

The drinks are well-crafted but definitely on the pricey side, a margarita runs about $32, which is pretty stiff. That said, the atmosphere is worth it for a splurge. Great place for a date night or to impress out-of-towners. Four stars for the service and setting, minus one for the steep prices.“

“This was a completely awesome and enjoyable experience. I think this is a great way to see a movie and I just have to add that the customer service from the staff was incredible. From the manager to the rest of the staff they provided a level of customer service that is rare to find and were professional to such a high level that I can’t find adequate words to describe it but if you ever want to feel like a VIP without actually being one, this is the place to come.“
