“Mattone's is a gem. The lasagne is spectacular! Being vegan, they made me their house-made spaghetti with a wonderful tomato sauce. The wine selections were also great. “We came here for drinks the night before Thanksgiving. We were able to grab four seats at the bar. The bartenders were prompt and friendly. They are cash only, but have a no-fee ATM. It was fairly busy, and it's a small place. It was lively but not too much. The bar is pretty dark. There's a fun SpongeBob themed fish tank behind the counter. Their menu is via QR code. They make some classic cocktails and rotate some specials. We were grabbing drinks after dinner, so I ordered the Caramel Delight, one of their dessert drinks. It was really delicious. We only had one drink each, and the prices were pretty reasonable. I would definitely recommend!“

Might be a decent date place, although it can be a little loud with the music and everyone talking, which is to be expected at most nighttime establishments. “Came here to try em out again after having a great experience 3 months ago then a lackluster experience 2 months ago. They had the PPV and its audio on unlike the last time I came by where they had the PPV but no audio. Customer service has improved quite a bit. Their food still tastes really good and it's fun when a bunch of other people are getting into the various sports they have playing on the TVs. I tried their Philly along with chicken strips and fries. Both were bomb. Also enjoyed a beer and cocktail. The only things I wasn't a fan of were the food times and lack of beer variety. Mine and my buddy's food was really good but it seemed like they took a really long time to cook it. Not sure how many cooks they have in the kitchen. It also seems like the beer menu doesn't change/rotate that much which isn't bad but it would be nice to enjoy some beers from nearby breweries. Still going to enjoy chilling here for future events.“

Looking to impress friends/date(s) on an adventurous night out? GO TO THE ROOST. I can't a speak highly enough about this experience (and it truly is an *experience*)! I decided to stop by here as a group of three one random Friday night and was not expecting much. Let me tell you, it went BEYOND my expectations. I won't spoil the speakeasy experience but be prepared to say "wow" once you get into the bar. You are welcomed with a house made aperitif to start off with and it was a great touch. Yummy too! They also give you water at your table (love this). We each ordered a drink that suited our tastes and we all loved them! They do have some pricier tastings on the menu but from what I saw, many people ordered single drinks. The karaage was a last minute order for our table and we couldn't eat it fast enough! Overall, this is a must in my books. “I lived in Natomas for most of my life and I have never visited this Mezcal Grill location - we usually go to the one closer to East Sacramento. We came in on a Friday at 8pm and the place was pretty busy, but we were seated right away. There was inside and patio seating and everything felt clean and modern. We ordered the Soft Flour Ground Beef Tacos and Crispy Chili Verde Tacos. The crispy tacos were not hot and neither was the rice and beans on either plate. The ground beef was super salty, to the point where I couldn't even finish and I like salt. Service was great and friendly, but I was not a huge fan of the food we ordered compared to the other location. I kept seeing other customers ordering the Molcajete so maybe we just ordered the wrong items. We'll give them another chance next time we're in the area!“

Only thing I will say negatively is that older lady at the bar, it seems like she picks and chooses who she wants to be short with (if you know what I mean) .. “If you are looking for fun drinks and quick bites with friends, this is the spot! Right in the middle of so many bars/restaurants and if you have time, checkout their speakeasy in their storage room. The bawk bites is what made me want to come here and they did not disappoint. Only dark meat tenders friend with some spice ? I will say though after only a small cup of them, I was good in fried food for a whole month. It’s VERY heavy and salty so I added it into my Mac n cheese to balance it out. The Mac cheese was delicious when I ordered it but it also depends on who’s cooking that day because my friend posted some watery Mac n cheese when went to visit. The cucumber salad looked alright but was pretty refreshing, just like my cocktail. Overall good prices and quick small bites. I just wished they had fresh oysters (they only have them some days)“

It’s a good place to bring your drink snob friends, but if you are not one yourself prepare to be publicly shamed by the bartender as he looks down his nose at you. We had never tried this particular cuisine before, so our waitress gave us some suggestions. We ended up with the Spicy Garlic Prawns, Kimchi Fried Rice and Potstickers. “I casually began going into Buda in 2018 or so, and I am so glad that I did. Acquaintances have turned into friends, and many of those friends have turned into family. This place has it ALL - strong drinks, yummy food, the BEST bartenders, friendly customers, a TON of tv's for any and all sporting events, karaoke on Fridays, trivia on Tuesdays...I could go on and on. The owner, Bull, is an absolute sweetheart who will come in and make sure everyone is doing well and having a good time. The bartenders always make sure your drinks are full, and E, the cook, will hook you up with some of the best BBQ in town(try his tri-tip & mac and cheese!). “Love this local neighborhood joint! My boyfriend and I went here for a date night and we weren't disappointed. We loved that it was in walking distance and it had a nice patio for outdoor seating to enjoy the weather! I really enjoyed the tacos because I thought they were really authentic. The Vampiro taco was Al pastor with bits of pineapple, which I found refreshing to balance out the flavor. The carne asada taco was good but I think it needed something else on it like guacamole or salsa. I really liked the chips and salsa appetizer that we got because the salsa trio was well thought out: fried jalapeño, chili verde, and red salsa. All of them were homemade, which homemade, which is why I enjoyed them so much! Overall, we will be coming back over the summer!“
“Ok...I love dive bars from time to time! This is a good , neighborhood bar. Shuffleboard,a pool table ,locals , you know, the usual suspects! The bartender is awesome and she has been there a long time. The woman who owns the place is very nice, friendly and HOT!! ?.... SERIOUSLY.They sometimes have food and always have little bowls of pretzels or something out. The music box is a great one and the sound system is ample . All in all, a great place to chill and drink without going broke. You will love it.“

“The food here is consistently good and since it is only open on the weekends and Friday night I regularly treat this as a gift to myself after a long week. the cabeza tacos are always good and the adobada is just how I like it. I always recommend this place, five thumbs up. The main building is a dance hall, I've never been inside there myself but from the noise it sounds like it's f***'in pop'in. Seems like there is a bit of a dresscode, so bring your best boots and buckle ! because it's party time“
“A group of us met here for dinner after a work training and even though it was raining we enjoyed our time in the outdoor sitting area. Work got us pizzas for the table, plain cheese, veggie and pepperoni and you can’t go wrong with either of those - they were very light and delicious. Service was great and prompt with polite staff.“
