“Maru Bowl is the quite frankly the best rice bowl spot in the SFV, maybe even all of Los Angeles. From their bulgogi to their fried tofu, their selection is top-tier quality all across the board. From the first bite, it’s undeniable that each bowl is made with so much love and attention. The owners, Joy and Daniel, are the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and demonstrate the upmost hospitality to all their guests. As a regular for almost 5 years, I will always consider Maru Bowl as my absolute favorite place to eat. Thank you Daniel and Joy for creating such a wonderful and forever-impactful eating establishment. ❤️”

“Super happy I found this place, I can't eat dairy but I enjoy a good pizza. They've got a couple choices for dairy alternatives and offer vegan ranch and even vegan cheesecake!!! Super tasty, lovely staff, looking forward to visiting them again!

Dietary restrictions: Dairy free and gluten free options available, as well as vegetarian or vegan options! They have a warning about cross contamination so won't recommend to those with high risk/ high sensitivity allergies.

Kid-friendliness: It is small so don't expect to be able to fit more than a family of four, and it's got very little seating so I don't think strollers/baby carriers will fit. I didn't see baby seats but staff are friendly.

Wheelchair accessibility: Kind of small shop, but you can get inside and back out as long as the door is open.”

I've eaten here for the first time, out of curiosity. I've always seen people buying/ordering/eating here.

I'm not really a hot dog eater. Only once in a while, I'll get a corn dog.

BUT,... This place was impressive!
I ordered this Chicago hot dog with bright green relish, 3 pickled peppers.. cheese sauce on it.. It was SURPRISINGLY GOOD!!

The cook's name was; Torn! (I even made sure by spelling it and he confirmed! 😁), was about to close this place when I got there, but he was kind enough to accommodate me, the first timer and another guy who wanted to buy a lot of hot dogs, but he only had 4 left!

Torn was patience enough and answered my question in a friendly & chill manner. He didn't sound annoyed (due to closing time).

“This is my favorite late night snack. I get the carne asada tacos with avocado salsa on the side. The best carne asada tacos!! The flavor is delicious. They are consistent so it’s always delicious. I put my friend on and now she’s hooked. I legit crave this truck!

Kid-friendliness: It’s a taco truck so you can take your kids however it is on a public street so always be safe and hold tight to your babies. There are street sleepers around.”

“This was my first time visiting this cafe, as my friend who lives in Winnetka recommended it after hearing positive reviews. The coffee itself was great! Although, I had a hard time enjoying the turkey sandwich that I ordered. For 9 bucks, I feel as though the sandwich was lacking, especially as the avocado was not distributed evenly and ended up falling out after my first bite. Maybe next time, I’ll get the egg bagel. But overall vibe was nice and the employees were friendly.”

“This bakery offers a lot of the traditional goods a panaderia would but also has an impressive menu of food and drinks to try. Their asada burritos and tacos are always so tasty and well marinated. If you are a fan of extreme spice, then try the salsa they offer, otherwise it's fine the way it is. All comfort food served by some of the friendliest people.”

“Ive been coming here for 30 years, since I was a kid. I moved away from the area and havent been back in over ten years, but it was one of the gems I was looking forward to visiting, if it was still standing. To my absolute delight, the Teriyaki Masudaya is still standing! I had the pleasure of stopping by last week to eat my favorite there, their house plate with beef, chicken, and prawn alongside a salad with their signature dressing.. and I was so happy to find that the recipes have been passed down from the original owners, tastes just as good as I remember. Always a lovely management/staff as well. Thank you TM for still standing when so many others have fallen. You are a symbol of my childhood and I plan to keep coming back. 😊❤️”

“Nice people work here. I went to the starbucks down the street from this restaurant and they were rude and didn't let me use the restroom. Therefore, I came here to use the restroom and surprisingly, they were so nice to open the door for me with a smile. I ended up buying my coffee from here instead. I also like their ice coffees.”
