“I have been in LA for 15 years, and I see my self as a Kabob sommelier. The hardest kabob to get right is Koobideh, so much so that I rarely order koobideh in America. Got their koobideh tonight. I'm extremely satisfied.

Shoutout to Faraz for helping me with my order. Sweetest guy!“

“There’s something deeply comforting about this place. From the first bite, I felt like I was being taken somewhere familiar yet new at the same time. The saffron aroma, the tenderness of the grilled meat, the way the flavors lingered—it all felt intentional. The staff didn’t just serve food; they created a mood. I left feeling full, not only physically but emotionally, as if the meal had quietly reset my day.“

“I recently visited Safir Mediterranean Cuisine after their remodel, and honestly the place looks fantastic now — very modern, clean, stylish, and welcoming without losing its warm atmosphere.

The food was delicious every time I went. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. You can tell they really put effort into both the quality and presentation. The staff was friendly, attentive, and respectful, which made the experience even better.

A special thank you to Matt, the owner, who was a true gentleman. He took the time to greet customers and made everyone feel comfortable and appreciated. That kind of hospitality is becoming rare these days.

I noticed a few unfair negative reviews online, but after visiting several times and seeing how busy the restaurant was with happy customers, I honestly believe Safir deserves much more support and fair recognition. Sometimes one bad experience gets exaggerated online, but consistent service and quality speak louder.

If you enjoy great Mediterranean/Persian food, a beautiful atmosphere, and friendly service, I definitely recommend giving Safir a try. Wishing them continued success after the remodel!“

Darband Kebab House Fast Food • $
21506 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills

“It’s a different kind of place and a fun one too. The setup actually reminds me of the old Darband style restaurants in iran, and if you’ve ever been there, it’ll definitely ring a bell. I really like this spot. It’s conveniently located in Woodland Hills and they serve some great kebabs. I ordered the Koobideh Kabab and Joojeh Kabab ( chicken Kabab) both were flavorful, juicy, and cooked just right.

It’s a casual, easygoing place to enjoy Persian street food. They’ve cleverly used the back lot of the building for seating, and there are rugs under every table, which gives it a cozy, authentic vibe and music. It’s unlike any other street food spot I’ve tried—definitely worth checking out! Check their hours before heading this way.. oh, forgot to say Kabab is made the old fashioned way on actual charcoal“
