“A nice place to have lunch when visiting the US Air Force AcademyThis is located on the United States Air Force Academy Grounds. It is on the north side of Academy drive but to the southeast side of the Academy classrooms and student housing. It is billed as a place for special events and is well suited for that. It is situated on a hill overlooking the golf course and grounds. It has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of parking. I am not sure if you have to call before you arrive but our escorts had a table reserved for us right against the window. You choose your meal and pay before you sit down. The menu was a one-page affair with sandwiches and salads. The dining room was a large hall with large and small tables with north and east-facing windows. The view is pleasant. The food was reasonably priced (most meals are about $10) and came out quickly. The food was very good and the staff was very pleasant. If you get a chance to visit and eat at this location I think you will enjoy it for the food, service, price, and view. Enjoy!“

“We had such a great experience! our server was super friendly. we requested a bottle of red blend wine, and he picked out a bottle with dogs all over it, because we brought our two dogs with us. it made us very happy, and the bottle was yummy! we will be returning.“

“This place was everything I dreamed it would be and more. The burger was dangerously good. It changed my life. Onion rings are the best kind with a thin layer of batter. Almost tempura fried. Seasoned fries were impossible to stop eating. Can't wait to come back to try breakfast and like 10 other things I saw on the menu that looked delicious. Service was fantastic and it was very busy. Not only was the general customer service great with food that came out quickly but the servers were genuinely happy. Having fun while busting their butts. Bonus was I saw Mimi the manager right there in the trenches with the team. “WOW!!! Another One Of Our "GO-TO" Restaurants This restaurant has become one of our "GO-TO" restaurants when we come to or go through Colorado Springs. It is very conveniently located in the newer area on the north end of Colorado Springs. The food is fabulous and the menu feature of 1/2 sandwich and soup is just right for a light meal. The Monte Cristo sandwich is done perfectly!!! The chicken tender salad is always a favorite of my wife. Marie was on duty that evening - Leadship On Duty!!! Marie came by our table several times and when I see the leadership working the crowd it speaks volumes for the entire operation. Kirsti took care of our table and she frequently came by to make sure the food and service met our satisfaction. WOW!!! A super nice evening with great food, great service, and attention to detail. “DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. I used Garden of the Gods Catering & Events for my wedding earlier this month and it was a disaster from the beginning. My trouble starts back in July when I tried to get ahold of someone to change my dinner time. It took over two months and me reaching out to general phone numbers and emails to get ahold of someone, mind you I had already paid in full so I couldn't back out or else I would have. Turns out the gal I was in contact with no longer works for the company. It came down to less than two weeks before my wedding day that I finally was able to get in touch with someone. When I hadn’t heard anything from the gal I had spoken to in the couple days prior over the phone, I emailed the general events@ email. I get an email after expressing my deep concern for my catering order in general saying “Hi, I emailed you yesterday. Did you not get it?”. Obviously if I’m reaching out, I didn’t receive anything, right? I thought we were good to go once I had a phone call and other email exchange with the gal that was taking over my day. I thought I would be able to brush communication mishap under the rug. Cut to dinner time on my wedding day. I realize it is far past the arrival time on my contract & dinner was supposed to be getting set up more than 30 mins ago. After frantically calling and sending an email, it took my father to go out & see if he could find the caterers down the road to learn that the truck has been stuck. I then get an email saying “I tried to email you”. How did that email go through but the first one didn’t? Then another email saying “I tried calling”. I had been at this lodge for 2 nights at this point had zero trouble with service or getting calls/texts/emails through. We also had two different caterers and a rental service come to the lodge also with zero service/communication difficulties. Because of this failure of communication, we ate dinner far later than planned, the food was cold & rolls hard as rocks. This also meant other parts of the wedding were pushed, causing my photographer to have to stay longer than the contract. I sent an email to the gals I had been in touch with and still have yet to get an email or phone call back.“

“Snack bar at a natural area / park / tourist destination? It’s actually pretty good. Portions are decent. Staff is very friendly and focused on getting you to the ride / tour you’ve scheduled. The dining area is enormous with beautiful panoramic views.

Kid-friendliness: This place has a lot of kid activities and the menu was great for little kids who need some food. Chicken fingers, burgers, fries, etc.“

“We took our kids to the Cheyenne mountain zoo and chose to stay at the Marriott. No one told us the zoo was up hill both ways, but it was beautiful. After deciding we were too tired to go out we had dinner at Ascent. Our server Cameron was fantastic and very polite. We were surprised at the portions and the food was very good. “Love this place so much! I’m not usually a fan of chain restaurants but my favorite thing about this place is the fact that they source locally as much as they can. We have been here a few times now and every single time it has been great. The food and service are consistently good. Every server we have had was amazing. I used to work in restaurant industry for years so I notice the little things. I love to see multiple managers on the floor talking to customers, refilling drinks, running food. One server I have to point out is Jennifer, she’s never actually been our server but always remembers us, specifically my daughter who was having a meltdown one day and she offered to bring her a bowl of fruit. And we weren’t even in her section. Great service, thank you!“

She’s not gluten-free, but let’s just say her mind was blown that a dedicated GF place could be this good. I got the two meat plate (brisket & turkey) and she got ribs. For sides we got meaty beans, fried brussel sprouts, and fried smashed potato. The sides were mind blowing. The ribs were exquisite! The turkey was the best I’ve ever had! The brisket was really good. I’ve been to most of the best BBQ places in KC. I’ve been to a bunch of great rated BBQ places in Texas and the Carolinas … this place compares. You know how a lot of places you feel sluggish or weighed down aftera meal vs. other places when you eat you feel light and your body feels great? I felt amazing after! No sluggishness. I can tell they use quality meats and ingredients! The owner, Joshua, came to us a few times to talk to us … what a fantastic dude. He mentioned that they’re looking to expand with the space next door and he’s considering a GoFundMe to pay for it … I’m in! I’m now a raving fan and this will be a regular place that I’ll take family, friends, and guests. Easily one of my Top 3 eats in Colorado Springs. So many things on the menu that I’m looking forward to trying!“

“We’re currently visiting my sister and her family in Colorado Springs, and decided to eat brunch together here. I was beyond impressed! My 2 year old (who will be 3 next week) has multiple food allergies. Normally going out to eat is a tough experience. Our server was so nice and when I mentioned allergies her response was “oh we take food allergies seriously, let me make sure that item is a safe food.” Not only was it the very first time he was able to order off of a kids menu (normally we feel lucky to get him one or two items ale carte), but the food came out with a “ALLERGY” flag in it which made us all feel safer about him eating it. He loved the meal, no allergic reaction, and the service/wait staff was FANTASTIC. I can’t wait to go back the next time we visit. 🥰“
