“Terrible experience! Waited an hour for our food, only to receive mediocre bland food. During the hour food wait, our drinks were never refilled. When they finally offered refills with our meal, every drink was brought wrong and my husband didn’t even get his drink. Then they expected a gratuity for such ridiculous service. DO NOT GO HERE!“
“Best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten and I’ve been eating homemade or dine out Mexican food my whole life. Recommend the Carne Asada or Tamaulipas Steak….so good.. I spoke to the chef and told them how much I enjoyed it. I will be back. Drive to Alamoso,CO for the best ever…“
“Wow! I ate lunch there today. A chicken burrito smothered with green chile pork and red chile pork sauce. With a bit of sourcream and guacamole. I have lived in the SLV since 1978 and I have NEVER had such an amazing Mexican meal. The sauces were savory with subtle hits of spices. I would call them gourmet...probably more like what you get in Mexico. I am REALLY impressed! Service was excellent. I wish you well in your new business. You are a fabulous addition to this community. Bravo!“
“Two dollar tacos, worth every penny. Drinks are a bit expensive, but in this economy, what isn't? The tacos. Possibly the last place on Earth where you can get two dollar tacos. The food is excellent here, it's always clean, employees are always friendly and polite, no long lines or waiting. Don't waste your time and money at the fast food places, stop and eat here instead. You will not regret it.“
“No frills Taco place, however, thier brand of tacos is really good, sauces, marinades everything is fresh and homemade. Extensive Menu and Portion size is really good sized. Beverages have good selection, fountain drinks, iced tea, horchata. Comfy dining room, quiet side of town, easy in/easy out.I strongly recommend this eatery.“
“This is a commercial wholesale location. It is not a retail store or a restaurant. However there was a gentleman here who was kind enough to direct us to a local meat market in town that sells Fernandez chili products: Valley Meat Market at 808 West Ave, Alamosa, CO 81101. I've also found some of their spices at my local King Soopers near Denver.“
“We are on an epic road trip through Colorado and stopped for dinner after a day at Sand Dunes National Park. The margaritas were delicious, our tamales, chili rellenos, and carnitas plate really hit the spot. We especially enjoyed the “hot” salsa we requested. 10/10 recommend to anyone in town or just passing through!“
“Greeted by hostess and seated, and took drink order with time to select food items. Appetitzers' order of chips and salsa brought out shortly ordering. Food was brought out piping hot, and sides with meal. The waitress was attentive in refills and removing plates. Dessert of sopapillas was a great finish to the meal.Parking: Parking is available on either side of the building.Kid-friendliness: High chairs for young children and children's menu of kid friendly foods and smaller portions.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking is on the west of the building near the front entrance with a surface and level flooring to the hostess area for seating. Tables can be arranged to accommodate wheelchairs and scooters for mobility.“
“We stopped here on a road trip and ended getting an extra order To Go - yes, the green chile sauce is that good! Seeing tables of relaxed locals is always a good sign and this off-main-street spot delivers in the best way. Authentic flavors, well prepared and served in generous portions by friendly faces. The stuffed sopapilla was the rock star of our visit, but the asada tacos with homemade tortillas were a close second. Do NOT miss the salsa Verde!“
