“Last Sunday a few friends and I went to Boulder for the first time. We were told this bar was great and decided to come in. It was truly one of the best experiences we have had. “Absolutely divine. Our server Caroline was wonderful, and noticed even the smallest details like my husband being left handed when setting the cutlery and offered us an N/A toast when we didn’t order drinks for celebrating. Don’t miss the tres leches and of course the sweet potatoes as everyone comments on!“

“We’ve performed in so many venues over the years, and Velvet Elk is top notch. Their system is excellent and the room sounds amazing - sound Engineer, Aaron, dialed in the room and stage sound perfectly. The food is delicious and most importantly, the people there are super friendly. Boulder is lucky to have this place!“

“Large party of 10 had dinner on 4/5/25 and all of our meals and tapas were excellent. Restaurant is not too loud which is nice. Friendly servers. Bar service a bit slow, but drinks were very good. Ample parking which is tough in Boulder. Definitely recommend!“

“This is my favorite bar in all of Boulder! The bartenders are so nice and talkative, the food options are great (I recommend the empanadas from Cruz), and the drinks are amazing. They have the best martinis I’ve ever had, and I go with my friends on a regular basis!“

“Did the tasting menu and it was fantastic. Some of the cocktails were a little “meh”, and so I’d be more likely to do wine there in the future. The caviar on corn cake—one of the three starters—was probably the best bite of food I’ve had this year.
The crudo (the second course) seemed a bit lacking to me, but others at the table really liked it. Otherwise, everything was perfect.“
