I love the sushi here!!I have been coming for decades never disappoints!!
I've been coming to Sushi Zanmai since 1990 and it is consistently one of the best sushi restaurants I've been to anywhere. It's where I learned to eat sushi. Maki San has created a wonderful restaurant with a warm celebratory environment. I can't wait to return with each visit back to Boulder.

Sushi Zanmai offers a cozy tatami room perfect for gatherings, with excellent food including delicious rolls, sushi, sashimi, and tempura. The sashimi is noted for being exceptionally fresh, and the service is described as extraordinary. Despite a somewhat limited menu, the quality of the choices is great, making it ideal for casual business meetings or celebrations. The restaurant is quick and accommodating, even for walk-ins, and the atmosphere is enhanced when it is not too busy. An accidental order of salmon eggs turned out to be tasty, and the unique tempura banana dessert was a pleasant surprise. With helpful staff who provide nice touches to improve the dining experience, it's a happy accident to stumble upon this gem for a delightful evening.
