About Johnny Bechamel's

Johnny Bechamel's is a warm and fun new Italian spot in Denver. It brings wonderful handmade pasta, fantastic sourdough pizza, and seasonal ingredients under one roof. The place takes concepts from its sister restaurants, lowers the volume, then adds culinary flare, offering handcrafted, yet approachable food.

The food and service are incredibly solid, all well worth the price, with a cozy atmosphere. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and very delicious, and everything comes out well prepared. The whole experience is solid top to bottom, and the drinks are really nice too.

Menu items include fresh pizza, pasta, drinks, and focaccia. The hoagie salad with Napa cabbage, salami, and crushed potato chips is a banger. The lasagna is a single layer pasta dish that is really well done. The summer corn pasta with green chiles is loaded with fresh corn and topped with a nice breadcrumb crunch. The chicken piccata comes with a caper-loaded lemon butter sauce over pasta and a crispy cutlet topped with basil. The fried calamari is perfectly crispy, and the fried squash blossoms are filled with delectable zucchini & ricotta and seasoned with herbs. The pizza has the right amount of sauce and is amazingly tasty. The Pappardelle is rich and comforting, and the little gem salad with parmesan vinaigrette is so good. Doughnuts, stuffed piquillo peppers, and chicken meatballs are also available. Highly recommend.

Good pizza, not bad beer selection. Great service. Bit noisy. Parking is hit or miss on a busy stree and neighborhood.
Johnny Bechamel's brings wonderful handmade pasta, fantastic sourdough pizza, and seasonal ingredients under one roof. I've been a fan of its sister restaurants for some time. (Dio Mio, Redeemer Pizza) This place takes some of those concepts, lowers the volume, then adds culinary flare.
