Ammonia reminds me of the Greek bakery in Chicago near where I was born 78 years ago. Its plain, unpretentious interior and hearing people speak Greek while enjoying their pastries and coffee give it a very warm charm for me. And they have the best spanakopita and yalaktaboureko.
This bakery has so many delicious baked goods! My husband works in the area and the kids and I all get so excited when he brings baked goods home from the Omonoia Greek Bakery! Yum!
We make a point of stopping here every time we are in the Denver area. The best, authentic Greek treats! My personal favorite is the almond cake; it reminds me of my favorite treats back in Greece! We also love to stock up on bulk chocolate dipped cookies, as well. They make for great gifts! And the owners are lovely, friendly people. Highly recommend!!
