Woodie Fisher Kitchen & Bar Reviews
We stay at this hotel and eat here about two times per year. Food is always hit or miss (breakfast and dinner). If Jade is at the bar (2026), service and drinks will be impeccable.
This place is a totally vibe. Repurposed firehouse looks upscale with a casual feel. Almost like gastro pub meets steak house. Drinks are killer. Jake from State Farm (just kidding, he’s from Gainesville) is amazing. Great server who’s very attentive. As someone who worked in hospitality for 12 years, great service is the game changer for any experience. Loved chatting with Jake! Woodie Fisher Kitchen & Bar, set in a historic fire station, offers a unique dining experience. The restaurant is known for its delicious breakfast, with standout dishes including coffee, sausage, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, and a customizable breakfast option. The ambiance is elegant and the service is commendable. Their pizzas and salads, particularly the Caesar salad with added chicken, have received high praise. The space has a loungy feel but is also bright and airy thanks to large firehouse doors and a glass ceiling. It is dog-friendly on the patios and has a very cool space. The food is great, with visitors especially enjoying the prime rib French dip, which was super crispy on the outside and pillowy inside, and the fries that matched that perfect crunch. The drinks are reasonably priced, especially at happy hour. The patio is perfect, and the atrium-type area is loved. Woodie Fisher Kitchen & Bar provides a memorable dining experience, perfect for a relaxing meal or a happy hour visit.
