About Breakfast in America

Breakfast in America is a local favorite, serving authentic comfort food with a focus on traditional breakfast staples. The food is wonderful, with standouts like biscuits and gravy and omelets, all cooked fresh in front of customers. Friendly and fast service, along with a cozy, old-school atmosphere, make it a must-visit spot that's always bustling with activity. The restaurant has a good, hometown feel, and the open kitchen allows guests to see the expert cooks prepare classic diner dishes like two eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. Self-serve coffee and water mean no waiting for servers, adding to the relaxed vibe. Although it can be confusing for first-timers due to self-service for coffee and soft drinks, staff are friendly and seem happy to be there. On weekends, the place gets very busy, especially in the mornings. Despite being a bit of a dive, the consistency and reasonable prices keep customers coming back, making it a favorite for many in the area.

My wife had the avocado toast and thoroughly enjoyed her meal. The bacon and the biscuits and gravy however were tasteless, very disappointed. I make way better biscuits and sausage gravy. We stayed at a Hampton on the way back home and their biscuits and gravy had better flavor. Ate here many years ago before their expansion...read full review
