“Please note this review is about the CHEF'S COUNTER EXPERIENCE, which they make a point of saying is separate from the main restaurant experience.
To be honest, I was pretty disappointed. The meal (two tasting menus plus two wine pairings) came out to $700 and it simply wasn't worth it. Part of the issue is the 22% service charge which they include automatically. I already don't like when 18% service charges are included automatically. 22% is obnoxious.
The service was very good, but not good enough to pay that much for. The food on the other hand was OK. I give the dishes an A- or B+ on unique and interesting. But some were too salty, and the overall flavors just didn't wow me enough to warrant a $700 price tag for dinner for two. The wine pairings were excellent though, and they served some very good and interesting wines.
I'd like to try the normal restaurant at some point, but wouldn't do the chef's counter experience again.“

“Fantastic dim sum, my favorite thing I ate was the pineapple bun. I also really appreciate the tea that was served. The presentation and that the waiter constantly topped up the hot water was very nice.
I also appreciated how dim sum was served from the menu. Oftentimes dim sum can be served from a cart that's rolled around the restaurant, but having a menu made it easy to ensure we were able to try everything we wanted.“

“10 stars 🌟 Incredible experience from start to finish. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Very warm and comfortable environment. Extremely clean and open feeling dining space. Truly a neighborhood restaurant that will always make you want to return for more. Singapore noodles were amazing. The staff really was the highlight of the meal. I felt like family at the table. “We have been coming here for a couple of months now and love the food. Really good prices and for the amount of food served.
There’s about 3 places closer to us but all have had horrible experiences and this place has been nothing but amazing!“

“We ate at this mom-and-pop shop for Saturday lunch. We ordered the duck, chicken, and roast pork combo; half a pound of crispy pork; shrimp chow fun; and garlic sauce bok choy. Service is quick and to the point, but friendly and welcoming. Our food was high quality and honestly the prices were hard to believe they were so good. Everything was full of flavor and the portions were large. We did dine-in and our food was served in to-go containers but not bagged like takeout orders. Bottled beverages are available. There was a busy line the whole time we were here. I would definitely go back.“

“The entrance is a little hard to find, due to the main stairs being blocked off, but if you go around the building by the dumpster there is a hidden staircase. As soon as you walk in, the lights are down low, but the atmosphere is very familiar, and calm. The service is excellent, i was treated with love and care, and the food was most definitely made with love. The food was more than delicious, and i love how the woman always checks up on the costumers. Great restaurant for a first date, or a calm meal and conversation. 5 stars.“

“I found this restaurant on Google. I was choosing a restaurant for my New Year’s Eve Solo dinner. An excellent choice. The food was delicious. The service was calm and kind. The restaurant was quiet with piped in music That was delightful. Seating was nice with a view overlooking Ralston Park. I had wonton soup, edamame, shrimp with mixed vegetables, superbly cooked quickly and delicious. Highly recommend 👍👍“

“Good, almost great. The food is good but isn't very authentic and seems to lean heavily on salt and sugar to make it tasty. Having Chinese characters/Pinyin on the menu (where I was the only Chinese person in the entire restaurant) feels like the food should be authentic. Also, serving rice in a takeout container feels a little offensive given the sacredness of rice as the foundation of a Chinese meal.
However, the spice is nice and the flavors pop well if you're not expecting truly authentic flavors and are used to Westernized cuisine. Definitely above average for Asian food in Denver, but I'd recommend South Federal/Broomfield/Aurora for better and less expensive Asian food.
For the price and all the added service fees, I would have expected full service and food served in non-plastic dishes. It's a nice way to try some dishes without venturing out too far.“

“This place honestly shocked me and beat every expectation I had about HK food in Denver. This pretty much was a 10/10 chinese food and cantonese dim sum in Denver and a solid 8/10 even compared to LA cantonese food. I was so shook by the bakery items and the dryness and flavor of the fried rice.
They're lovely and sweet, and I loved having some cantonese veggies and dim sum that met every bar.“

“I highly recommend the Mongolian Beef—it was very tasty and full of flavor. The Singapore Street Noodles were also good, with a nice spicy kick. The Red Velvet Cake was enjoyable, though not particularly extra-ordinary. The service was attentive, and the restaurant has a lovely, well-decorated ambiance that adds to the dining experience. They even gave us fortune cookies before we left, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend trying it out!“

“It's a spot I highly recommend everyone to return to. Just on the second trip, they already know my name and offered the same great service. The value for the food is one of the best in the area. Very nice owner and a good vibe if you're here for great food.“

“Because it is a restaurant on the Michelin guide, I gave it a try. There is no doubt that this is a Western-style Chinese restaurant. The cold dishes were okay. We ordered bang bang chicken salad and beef tongue and tripe. Although bang bang chicken salad has nothing to do with authentic Sichuan bang bang chicken, I actually tasted the taste of Qianlong cabbage. The beef tongue and tripe is the best in the show, and the chili oil is very good. Twice cooked pork belly (twice-cooked pork) has a lot of meat, but the meat is cut too thick and does not stir-fry out the light nests that twice-cooked pork should have. Moreover, the twice-cooked pork should be stir-fried with black bean sauce and sweet noodle sauce. The twice-cooked pork here only has the taste of sweet noodle sauce and not the taste of black bean sauce. Stir-fried shanghai bok choy (stir-fried shanghai bok choy) is not stir-fried, but is made in a way similar to the soup of baby cabbage. Moreover, this soup should be made with a lot of relish, not boiled broth.
All in all, foreigners who just want to eat high-end Western-style Chinese food can come here, but Chinese people who want to eat hometown food don't have to try it.“

“Without a doubt my favorite Chinese Spot in the area. Super fast service, flavorful food, and great prices. This isn’t the average plastic $.99 Chinese food. They’re also one of the only places still serving actual fried egg rolls, making Lotus the king of Chinese side dishes. Always very friendly, too.“

“Yup, wanted to mix things up and try a new place out. We landed on Li's after reading some online reviews. We're very happy we found this place. In my youth I spent a couple summers as a waiter in an upscale restaurant in a resort town, the whole point of mentioning this is it's difficult for me to shake looking at specific details when dining in a new place. Some things that draw my attention: does the silverware have spots, are the drinking glasses smudged, are the menus worn or do they have food splatter on them, do the plates look worn. I know, totally nitpicking here, these are things you might evaluate in a finer dining establishment. But, Li’s checked all the boxes here, no complaints, in fact I was impressed. To echo what others have written, the service is quick but it’s not rushed. We were happy to see they were busy with at least half a dozen other tables being served, on a cold Tuesday night! Lots of great veggies in our dishes, cooked the way we like them, still crunchy and flavorful and the portions are very generous. Li’s appears to have been able to figure out how to stay successful without resorting to the standard pricing increase we see in other restaurants of this type, nor have they succumbed to shrinkflation. We’re looking forward to sharing this with friends.“

“We just moved to the area a few weeks ago, and we're still trying to find some great places to eat on our Friday night out.
We came across Blue Bay Asian Cafe tonight, and we were amazed.

“The food was so good, we came back again two days later! The BEST Orange Chicken I’ve ever had. They make it with real orange juice. Superb! Kung pao chicken was tender and wonderful. Drunken noodles - amazing. Sesame chicken was very good - too many onions though. This is our new favorite. We can’t wait to try everything on the menu.“

“They have a healthy section on the menu where everything is steamed and then you just add a little bit of sauce afterwards to the degree that you want. Fantastic if you're on a diet or restricting certain food intake. I have an allergy to garlic and onion and they are willing to work around this.“

“We used to order from heaven's dragon and had this place instead on Christmas eve. Was super surprised that is was more affordable, portions were bigger and the flavor was better. We will always be ordering from this place from here on out. Wontons are really good and we recommend any of the kung pow spicy or pad Thai dishes.“

“Lu House is fantastic. The food is delicious and fresh. The people are just so nice. They treat you like family, go out of their way to get to know you! I have dined at the restaurant and had delivery. I have no idea how the food they deliver arrives so hot, just like eating on site. They are willing to adjust and make substitutions to accommodate special diets and personal taste. This is my go to place. No one else is even half as good!
Vegetarian options: There are plenty and they will make any dish vegetarian upon request
Dietary restrictions: They will make all kinds of adjustments to acvomodate any need
Parking: Always plenty of space to park right outside the restaurant“

“We just ate delivery from here and truly no idea why everyone keeps complaining. The food was great and yeah maybe a bit $$ wise but holy cow the amount we got? So worth it. I have lowmein to last me for days now. If it’s dry just dabble some sauce on it and it’ll be good. We are definitely eating from here again :)“

“Classic neighborhood Asian food for a crazy affordable price! I had a low mein plate with Szechuan beef, and broccoli and beef for under $7. The staff were so wonderful! The spread is great, plenty to choose from for every palate. Absolute diamond in the rough, tucked away inconspicuously in Commerce City. Definitely stop in and get a takeout plate, and see what I mean. I'll definitely be back for one. Thank you all for a wonderful meal and fantastic service ❤️.“

“The place has a very casual atmosphere. The food was good. We liked the beef potstickers. We also tried vegan bao and vegan fried bao. The fillings are the same, just different ways of cooking. The taste was OK. The hot oil on the table was delicious, not spicy but very fragrant. They don't have high chair for toddlers, which is a downside. Overall, it is a good place to try if you are into Chinese food.“

“The food was okay, let's be honest when you're paying a couple bucks per scoop don't expect anything fancy but it was good for what it was. Guy at the counter taking our orders and picking out the food seemed like he was in a big rush and looked impatient while we were trying to decide what we wanted to get even though we were the only ones there. I could see popping in for a scoop here there for a snack“

“The menu is, blending Chinese flavors with contemporary creativity. We enjoyed the Sautéed Jalapeño Steak and Chinese Sausage Fried Rice, both of which were exceptional. The steak was tender and expertly seasoned, with the jalapeños adding just the right kick without overpowering the dish. The fried rice was equally impressive, with the Chinese sausage providing a bit more flavor.
Service was outstanding—attentive without being intrusive, and every member of the staff seemed genuinely invested in ensuring our experience was memorable.
If you're looking for a restaurant that elevates Chinese cuisine to new heights while providing a modern, elegant dining atmosphere, Miya Moon is a must-visit.“

“I have been getting so used to everything being a disappointment lately when it comes to restaurants, all the prices going up while portions and service goes down - but Chinatown Bistro was such a pleasant surprise!
I've lived in the area for 15 years, always passed this place, but never managed to stop in until tonight - I should have been coming here the whole time! This place kept it old school - HUGE portions, they gave us soy sauce and chili sauce without having to ask. Food was hot, good, and ready fast.
We will definitely be back!!“

“The place is a hole in a wall style but with a few tables if you want to eat there.Hot & sour: solid soup. I would ideally have wanted it to be a bit more tart but this definitely has sufficient flavor. The crispy noodles were kinda meh.1/2 duck: a surprising amount of duck. Also the color is a bit surprising, I thought it would be darker. But the duck was delicious and definitely enough for like 1.5 meals. You might want to consider some more rice though.“

“Good Chinese food, affordable prices, nice folks…..but this place is order only & GO.
The atmosphere is kinda “What’s going on in here?”, BUT good enough to get your stuff & GO. Whenever I’m in Denver I go HERE! They never disappoint. Really enjoy this spot, good folks.
Parking: You have 3 spots to park along side of the next building….not exactly ideal but it works.
Kid-friendliness: Sure, enough to order get your food & go….REALLY GOOD FOOD & lots of options. Affordable too!!!! 🙂
Wheelchair accessibility: Little tight to get in for someone in a wheelchair. The place inside is ‘cut off’ you only have a STANDING RIOM ONLY space. I’m sure a wheelchair could get in there though with little hassle, just small spot“

“This is our absolute go to place for Chinese take out! We have ordered a good amount of the menu and while our favorite is the Sesame Tofu, all the dishes we've had have been great. The food is usually ready very quickly and the service is excellent. When I made a mistake on an order recently (order meat when we wanted vegetarian) they were accommodating and switched it out very quickly. In short, I highly recommend!“

“So...food is very average but certainly not bad... atmosphere..like many have stated nothing to die for but suitable. The service (I'll let you decide) ...I live 7 miles away
. ordered to go..picked it up...asked if all things were in the bag....was told yes...and get home to find we were missing rice ..really??? So I called and to my surprise...they actually apologized and sent their driver to deliver our rice...not common these days and a 4 star rating from me is pretty darn good!“

“This place is way better than a scoop restaurant. The food is more East Coast Chinese American style and the first place I’ve found in Colorado that makes their chicken and broccoli with brown sauce, rather than that imo totally unappetizing clear goop they use everywhere else here. I live nearby and order all the time. Delivery is always ridiculously fast, and I haven’t had anything that wasn’t tasty.“
