Restaurantji's Gunnison guide: Where to find the best Mexican flavors.
“The restaurant is amazing. The food is great and the portions are enormous. None of us could finish our food, and from what I have seen most people were taking boxes home. The staff is good. We got there during really busy time, and the staff was working incredibly hard. We had a great time.“
“Nice restaurant. Pricey for lunch. No lunch portions. Chips and salsa good but we were charged for them. Staff friendly and attentive. Lawnmower & garden plastic plant pots in patio room a BIG turnoff. Should use Mexican colorful pots for plants. Chili R was excellent and homemade. Green sauce was really good just a bit spicy for me. Taco shells a bit over done.“
“Sometimes you just find a gem. I ordered fajitas because it is a safe bet at many restaurants. The seasoning in the chicken was outstanding; loved it. Later the host brought me some hot sauce that he recommended. It was hot, but rich in flavor, so good! I'm not great at guessing flavors but it seemed like adobo and chipotle had a spicy child. Even if the food was average, it wasn't, the people made it great! Good luck Agave.“
“Great food! I haven’t had an authentic chili relleno since moving to Denver, but ALL of their food was spot on! Their plates were a little smaller than I’m used to, but more than enough to fill me up. Ordered a house margarita and it was great sized and super strong! Small spot, so you may have to wait a bit, but it was worth it. Over all a GREAT family owned and run spot!“
