I accidentally scheduled for a future date but when we arrived they were very kind and worked with us to get us seated in less than 30 minutes. The food was delicious and everyone was attentive, kind, and patient with our toddler.
This middle eastern/ Mediterranean restaurant offers variety of fresh ingredient food. We got AMAZING Rucola salad, it has nutty flavors with pickled grapes!
For the main course we got grilled trout, and roasted chicken!!! Both great, flavorful, not dry juicy and well cooked!
For dessert Pavlova!
I will definitely go back on my next telluride trip!

We both enjoyed our visit at The National. We both had the pork chop which was spectacular. Also had the Zartara Bread and the Tuna. Excellent wine selection. Will certainly come back! Friendly staff as well.

Based on the reviews, The National Telluride offers a mix of experiences. The atmosphere is described as fun, upbeat, and cozy with a cool vibe, but also extremely loud with tables packed in, making conversation difficult. The food receives mixed feedback. Highlights include the lobster spaghetti, which was incredible, and the shawarma half chicken, called the most flavorful chicken dish ever tasted. The focaccia was out of this world delicious, and the olive oil martini was a highlight. Other favorites include oysters, grilled halloumi, spicy lobster spaghetti, black pepper rigatoni, date cake, and cheesecake. However, some found the food good but not amazing, with a need for more flavor and impressive presentation. The gnocchi was fine, and the oysters had weird toppings. Service is inconsistent; some staff are friendly and top quality, while others are pushy and focused on upselling. There were also issues with a long wait for a reservation and a small, cramped table. Overall, the restaurant has top quality across the board for some, but for others, it is just fine and disappointing given the hype and price point.
