The atmosphere has always been top notch with great outdoor seating. It’s the beertenders that make it special time and time again. Master horticulturalists and history teachers alike have served me at this establishment. Charlotte is a particularly good fit at Funkwerks, always super nice and a good conversationalist. “Stodgy is one of the best breweries in Fort Collins. The beer is always great! The atmosphere is amazing. No matter what time of year you visit you have the best seat in the house. When it is nice outside the beer garden is a legitimate garden, the buzzing of pollinators on the variety of plants pairs nicely with a delicious beer. During the winter, sitting inside the brewery is nice and cozy. The staff is great and always friendly. The special events are unique and always fun.“

That's the least of the amazing offerings here, but you can expect spicy jalapenos, a robust mustard selection and I've been to Germany, these were "campfire" "esque" which really amplifies the experience. The flight options are either pre-set or whatever you would like which is nice.Their rotational Tropical IPA is what New Belgium WISHES their tropical IPAs could stand up to. Almost everything we tried (10 beers total) was immaculately thought out like the sweet baby Jesus. The music was SO much of a "vibe" that every time a song came on I was astonished and blown away. They played "Dirty Boots" by Sonic Youth as an example.The branding can't be beat but has to be mentioned. If you want a laugh, a nice post hike meal and some amazing beer, this is the place to go. My only regret is not coming here sooner. It was so dam good!“

“We're driving through Fort Collins and looking for a place to sit outside with our dogs and have a beer. Downtown was crazy and no parking. On the way back to the hotel we ran across Peculiar. Plenty of parking, great beer selection and the food truck, outside, was great! I recommend the Cuban fries but all sound good. If you want a great place and still be able to park and not wait long for a table, this is the place. Beer is great. Bar tender is hot. Just an added bonus.“

“Nice place to stop for a drink. There is free parking behind the building. The winery is next door, if ppl in your party would prefer to drink wine instead. There was a ton of shaded outdoor seating. Dogs are allowed outside and they're allowed to come.insode with you while you order. Only service dogs are allowed inside, otherwise. For the non-alcohol drinkers, they had local root beer by the bottle, which was delicious.“

“We had a fantastic time at Penrose Taphouse for New Year's Eve with our two kids (8 and 5). The atmosphere was perfect-relaxed and just the right vibe for a chill, close-to-home celebration. I had the grilled salmon, which was delicious, and my husband enjoyed the Hanks Hot Honey fried chicken. For drinks, I had the Mule-Berry, which was made with vodka, strawberries, lime, and ginger beer. It was refreshingly balanced, not too sweet, which was a nice surprise. We loved every second of it and can’t wait to return!“
