Restaurantji presents Trinidad's standout Mexican dining destinations.
“First visit as we were passing through and did not disappoint! Called in an order and ate there. Cashier guy, with a deep voice, was friendly and helpful. We ordered chips and queso (a must if you like queso blanco and fresh warm chips), carne asada combo plate, birria taco combo plate, and a shredded chicken quesadilla. All were yummy. Quesadilla was really good but a little too much tomato seasoning for my taste, but still really good. Asada and birria were really good too. It’s a tiny little place but worth the stop!“
“So this is my go to Mexican restaurant in Trinidad Colorado... they are always busy.. but they get to you fairly quickly. The food is not pre prep so they cook it all when you order so make sure and go with enough time. Love the service they are there on the point of your entry and they're on the point of your exit. If you are ever in the vicinity please please do visit them. They only serve lunch on certain days but on Friday and Saturday they serve dinner as well. Enjoy!!!Vegetarian options: I am not a vegetarian but I know that my friend I went to eat with was and she was definitely really satisfied that you had plenty of optionsDietary restrictions: They always accommodate me on different items when I am not allowed to eat something because of my diet or because of my stupid body. HahaParking: It is a gravel parking lot so if you're weak knees won't handle the uneven surface then make sure and park on the south side of the buildingKid-friendliness: The meals for the kids are amazing just the right amountWheelchair accessibility: The south side of the building is designated for wheelchair accessibility you have a small step to get into the building and I mean small step“
“Great place...great food, had the pollo en mole..UNBELIEVABLE mole sauce..took my mind back to a small co-op coffee plantation in Huatulco, where I was first introduced to mole ...Only problem is I Iive in Canada and was only passing through...“
“The food is wonderful. Comfort food. The restaurant itself has a lot to be desired. But if you can get past that then it’s like eating home cooked food. I personally love their red chili with some sopapillas or tortillas. The best! Also…. If you’re from out of town and the locals seem to be staring at you when you walk in just stare back or say “Howdy” to them. That’ll get us to smile. ?And don’t be surprised to find the place closed when it says they’re open online. Like today. It’s Sunday and it says they’re open online but found them to be closed. It’s small town America folks and sometimes there aren’t enough people to work or somebody is sick.“
“Worth the stop!!! Great Mexican food and great service. We stopped on our way to Colorado Springs and Mission accomplished. Queso, chips and salsa and a delicious combination. My wife is on the pickier side and she gives it 5 stars as well. Take the exit and try this place.“
