“Had a low expectation when walked in after reading all the negative reviews on here. But actually to my surprise, food was pretty decent. Miso soup however, was super salty, even after I asked our waitress to make it less salty… I don’t think their sushi is as low quality as market grade as some reviews say. They have a small menu though..“

“Great sushi place! We dined in and loved every bite — the fish was super fresh, the rolls were flavorful and beautifully presented. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and attentive. But what really made our experience special was a lovely complimentary treat at the end of the meal — such a nice touch! We also absolutely love Chef Ian’s sushi — his skills are on another level! “We were visiting Vail for our anniversary and we decided to try Makoto for dinner. The food was excellent, especially the Wagyu Hot Stone and the Softshell Crab sushi. Our waitress Hiroko was very knowledgeable and attentive! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Vail.“
