“The chicken fries and the onion rings are our two favorites! The honey mustard chicken wrap is also another great option. The fries at burger kind have always tasted better than McDonald's! And you can't forget about the Bacon ? burger!“
“Through he grapevine I heard Dew Drop Inn had the BEST wings in Connecticut, so I made my way here to try them out myself!Atmosphere/Appearance: Let me tell you. It's a windy road to get here. Lol. But set right at a very non-traditional intersection of North Avenue & Roosevelt Drive is this gem. The outside doesn't look like much at all and there's maybe 6 parking spots to the left of the restaurant then there's another business across the street that MAY allow you to park there. At your own risk of course. Once on the inside the spot looks super modern and energetic. The back wall is all brick, the walls are painted with solid colors and there's a lil' easter egg to the right of the front entrance of The Incredible Hulk busting through the wall holding a plate of wings. Lol.Service: We sat right at the bar and the owner Jason was there so he was serving us directly. He was funny, accommodating and just was a genuine good time. Hiba, Meghan and Rachel were also very accommodating.Food: So while here I tried 7 different flavors of the 126 that are offered. I'll break them down one by one...Pink Peppercorn Lemon Thyme: They came out of the kitchen SO HOT. Lol, so be careful not to burn your mouth. They were AMAZING. Deliciously salty from the Himalayan sea salt, lemony and rounded out with some good Earthy flavors.Pink Peppercorn Lemon Curd: This is basically everything I described above, but with a delicious sauce on top. The sauce was a little honey-strawberry-lemon sweetness that complemented the wing excellently.Cilantro Lime Tahini: The cilantro flavor was an excellent base, but this may sound strange... but it almost tasted like refried beans. There was also a good cheesy flavor involved as well. It was so different and executed very well. Not a spicy wing for those that can't handle it.Cajun Garlic Butter Bacon: These were easily the tastiest "looking" wings due to all of the bacon pieces on top and they smelled simply incredible. Again, temperature hot, but these tasted like they were cooked IN a garlic oil. My goodness. The bacon added a meaty, hearty, salty, bacon-y flavor that just went well with the garlic and Cajun seasoning.Truffalo: This one is easy. Truffle and Buffalo mixed together. Excellent. I'm truffle-biased so of course I'd love these, but I could've used more truffle if I'm being honest.Strawberry Habanero: These were refreshing.. The strawberry flavor was very prevalent and it reminded me of a sweet & sour from a Chinese restaurant, buy elevated. I didn't get a lot of heat from these despite the name, but I loved it.Ghostly Habanero: While I didn't find the heat in the last flavor, it was all here. This was the hottest flavor on the menu at the time and rightfully so. These wings were gritty, sweet from the peppers and the heat was INSTANT. The habanero gave that initial jumpstart of heat, but the ghost pepper is the one that ramps up over time. It took about 3 minutes for the heat to FULLY kick in, but it definitely did. I teared up, I was sweating and this is not a wing I could eat a whole bunch of. Delicious though!Peanut Butter & Jelly: These were the hottest temperature wings we've had. Lol. Peanut butter is so incredibly dense so it just held all of that heat in. These were served with fluff as a dipping sauce. They were savory and sweet. Done very well.Value: Chicken wings are already expensive on their own, so adding this level of skillset to cook them, the materials and all brings an order of 6 to $10.99 for "Basic Flavors". "Not So Basic" is 6 for $11.75 and "Basically Ridiculous" as well as "Dessert" wings are 6 for $11.99. You can of course order them in bigger denominations, but there are 100% worth it.In conclusion, sadly, I haven't been back here since June of 2022, but I want to come back SO BAD. It's just literally an hour away from where I live. Lol. I will be back Jason! Thank you for everything.“
“Stopped in today for the first time. Friendly, California vibe is immediate. Food was ready quickly. We had the Yuppie, Mongo, Krusty, fries, and a root beer float. Everything was delicious and made with care. Toppings were fresh and flavorful. Root beer float wasn't too sweet, and the ice cream texture was perfect. This is my new, go-to spot!“
“We had Mr Macs food truck for my son’s graduation. The service and food were amazing. Everyone was saying how good the food was and the kids and adults loved the sunglasses they gave out. We will definitely be using them again and highly recommend! Thanks Chris for making the party a bit hit!“
“Bills has been a staple in the area for years. And I can’t remember when I have thrown in an order on a busy day and they have it waiting perfectly as I ordered. I would much rather go to Bill Drive In over McDonald’s across the street!!“
“Dive Bar is “my favorite place”, top of the list, cream of the crop. I’m a frequent regular and have shared my love for the Dive Bar with my close friends and family with “check in” pots and pictures since it’s inception twelve years ago. Chris and his Staff are top notch, so friendly and welcoming they make you feel right at home immediately. You can always catch a good ballgame or interact with Bar Bingo and enjoy some great music from talented musicians from time to time. If you know, you know ! If not? What are you waiting for? You gotta get here“
“great service - great food - great prices. The best part is they are always consistent and their portions are always enough for leftovers the next day. We go there at least once a week and my kids love it as well! They also have gluten free options which is amazing so my son can still enjoy a grilled cheese!“
“The lodge reminds me a lot of cheers! You walk in, and everyone starts to know your name… The weight staff is always very friendly and often strike up a conversation which I find something special these days. The food options are always great, and there are always a few specials on the list that catch someone’s eye. The draft beer choices are always rotating and changing which is great; often locally sourced. The bar area is always bustling, and offers a free pool table for patrons. There is also a large covered outdoor dining area for fair weather eating.“
“Always has a great breakfast but I really love the burger. Super affordable either by itself or deluxe with fries and cole slaw. Wish I took a picture of the menu to show the price. Plus it’s only two dollars to add bacon to your burger if you want. basically paid $20 (with tax and tip) for a double bacon cheeseburger deluxe with a Diet Pepsi. The only downside is that you only get 1 refill with the soda.“
“Love G’s burgers. Always a good meal. I think it’s better than “fast food”. Why go to the chains when you can come here and get better service, better quality food, and a great price. I come here often. Love the burgers, the chicken tenders, and don’t forget…CARVEL ice cream is there too! My go to spot for a quick and delicious bite.“
“Just love Denmo's one of my favorite go-to places! Will fulfill any palette ?Vegetarian options: Veggies fish friesDietary restrictions: Just ask themParking: PlentifulKid-friendliness: All about the kidsWheelchair accessibility: ? any mobility device.“
“The gentleman in the front counter was very nice, but it looked very busy. He was handling the front of the house and the back of the house overall. I had a very great chicken parm sandwich and the fries were pretty good. The area is a little sketchy, but it's a very busy intersection.“
“Tuesday nights host guest chef of Umebroshi featuring Hawaiian-Asian fusion. If you want a flavor bomb, these are guys you want to meet up with. Chef Rob is one of the nicest folks around. If you're not into that kinda thing - come for the cocktails!! Not only are they cool offerings, but the presentation is top notch. The melon tasted just right, the tiki chip was cool and the dehydrated blood orange was a beautiful touch! It really is true you eat, or drink, with your eyes first!“
“Love this place. The atmosphere is great. The staff is very friendly, & the food is great. Haven't had a bad meal yet. They also have monstrous margaritas.Parking: There's plenty of parking w/ 3-4 lots to choose from.Kid-friendliness: This is my go to spot for daddy/daughter dates.“
“The best steak sandwich I've had in 10 years! I will absolutely make this a favorite stop when I'm in the area. Can't wait to try to other items.Dietary restrictions: I asked him to make it daily free, no butter or cheese and he was very helpful.“
“??? BEST EGG & Cheese Sandwich in the neighborhood under 3 minutes. I stepped into the restroom for what was probably 2.5 minutes. Upon exiting I was greeted with only the finest sandwich in the Town! They’re not too chatty, unlike me but extremely about action and proof. I went to a nearby restaurant a few weeks ago and they couldn’t ever match the caliber of the attention and quality of this fine eatery. I am very picky and particular.I needed the eggs runny/over easy with LTM & boy did these guys deliver? 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ALL AROUND. I do recommend. Check ‘em out!!Parking: Bathroom in service. I actually stopped elsewhere prior and needed to use restroom to my dismay, it was “out of service.” Which really sucks for employees, too! ALERT ? TO ALL RESTAURANTS WE KNOW THEYRE FOR PAYING CUSTOMERS, MAKE SURE THEYRE IN SERVICE.“
“This has become a staple in our family - made to order breakfast sandwiches with a gluten free option! Great price point and a very family friendly atmosphere! My 2 year old asks to go to Goodie’s for an egg sandwich almost daily! Makes me so happy to have this little tradition!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options ?Kid-friendliness: My two year old is obsessed with this place, my husband and I could not be more pleased with the ease of a nice meal out that doesn’t break the bank, or feel too fussy!“
“Haven't been to Friendly's in years! We were so happy to find one that was still open. The place was busy with lots of families with kids, staff was very friendly. We had the iconic Fishamajig and a clam strip platter - our food was great! Happy ending desert was just right! Can't wait to come back again!Vegetarian options: Salads, fish, seafood availableKid-friendliness: Lots of kid choices, silly straws, crayons to color with“
“Such a great place. My dad and I drive past ot a lot, and we were talking and decided it was finally time to just give it a try, and I'm so glad we did. I can understand why some people might think it's very comparable to Five Guys because flavor wise it's similar (not exactly the same, but you definitely get Five Guys vibes) which isn't a problem at all because I love Five Guys! Also, much better prices than Five Guys. Great service, were greeted kindly right as we walked in, great food, the fries were honestly one of the best burger joint fries I've ever had, and overall great place to go. Definitely will be back 100%.“
“Hubby and I ordered from Bella Rosa tonight. Hubby had the cheese pizza and I enjoyed the Lula Grelhadas. My meal was succulent. The calamari was tender and the broccoli rabe had just the right amount of garlic. The piece de resistance was hubby's pizza crust. Each time he was finishing a slice of pizza I was asking for the crust. It looked beautiful and tasted absolutely yummy. Crunchy on the outside soft inside. Perfectly done. Yummy.“
“Best pizza in all of the thumb nail town of West Haven!!!!!! ????? We have been going to Pizza Works for take out for years and have never been dissatisfied whether we were getting pizza, fries, salad.... Anything. They are always super friendly, have good prices, fresh food, and quick and efficient deliver.“
“Great atmosphere here. The Vibe in this place is Awesome. First time in here. My wife and I always said we got to try that place sometime. My wife is the Store Manager at Oxford Dollar General on 126 Oxford Rd. Rest assured we will be back....“
“The food is great!! This is where i go if I'm looking for a good burger and chocolate milkshake. They even have straws designed for milkshakes something many others don't think don't have. Service is was very nice. No complaints at all. A must stop for anybody driving along route 34 and looking for a quick bite to eat!! Would've posted a pic but i already ate my food.“
“I was informed that new ownership had just taken over. This was my first time to dine here so I can't say if that's affected anything. The new owner assured me that they'd be keeping the menu mostly the same. The owner and the cashier went above and beyond by catering to exactly what my family wanted. Typically places are hesitant to allow people to add whatever they want but not Fatty Patty. I had about 5 hot dogs and they were all well cooked and well prepared. Sloppy just like I enjoy. The milkshake was also very delicious and customized. I will most certainly return. Lots of space at the tables and around them with a very modern and open atmosphere.“
“I mistakenly ordered at the wrong location. When I called to let them know that I had made a mistake, and was not able to pick up my food, they told me they would keep my money and not give a refund. Doesn’t seem very customer service oriented. Profit > “
“This is a little pub that has been around since 2023. This is my first time going here since they've opened. I have to say I hope they stay around for a while. We got the sweet potato fries, the buffalo Parmesan wings, and wings with the water street sauce. I would highly recommend both! The wings were fried to perfection and the amount of sauce was perfect! Not dry at all. This is my new go to spot for wings!“
“First time here and I met up with family on a Saturday. I called in the reservation but it wasn't there when we arrived. It worked out though and after a 10 minute wait, we were seated. Party of 3 for dinner on Saturday. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria ($30) with burgers and had dessert too. Burgers cooked to order. Great toppings. A smiling server who checked on us nicely. Place was super busy but not overwhelming. A line the entire time because this place is popular. Cost about $140.“
“Such a neighborhood gem of a place! It continues to evolve throughout the years while maintaining the same character and charm coupled with great clientele you appreciate! Been visiting for 20+ years and always make it a must stop on my trips back to CT. Cheers to everyone here!“
“Holy Gluten free options! Happened to stop by here on a road trip with my daughter. Both of us have celiac disease. The find me.gluten free app led us here and we were not disappointed. The fish and chips were delicious! They have a dedicated fryer. Definitely would stop again when in CT!!Dietary restrictions: Had a lot of GF options! Dedicated fryer?“
“One of my favorite places to go where the customer service is one of the most consistent and best for fast food. Especially if their females serving you got the most time. If the males perform as good as the females and if I'd order a icecream and without the top it doesn't look like it's going to fall off the cup I'd give it a 5 star.“
“We did take out twice. Food was well prepared and was ready promptly. Have not yet been here in person. Very happy with the portions and quality of food. We did Grub hub so not sure if prices are better at the facility or if you pick up yourself.“
“I love this place. If I had to compare it to In and Out, I would say the difference between both places is the bread. Overall, the best burger in town. This is what fast-food should be!A must try if you are around and want fast food but want real burgers. I am a regular, def. ask for Mochi. She's the best and is super friendly. The restaurant has been around since 1942. It was also in the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives because it's so amazing! If you don't know what to order just get a cheeseburger with the works. I've eaten other things on the menu but their burgers are a must try. Just beware, their chili-cheese hotdog is very spicy. Not a regular spicy, more of a sweating type of spicy. You will need water or a milkshake. My toddler loves their milkshakes. If you get a milkshake, they will give you a medium size. So, specify if you want a small.“
“Ordered a few burgers and fried over the weekend and I must say they held up great with the delivery! Everything was spot on and cooked perfectly! We ordered just one order of fries because usually when dining in they give you so many, but in this case one regular order wasn't enough! Will know for next time!“
“This is the closest to home cooking packaged as fast food. Nuggets are real chicken they have chicken parm sandwiches! Burgers and the toppings are fresh. You can tell they rely on the flattop/cook top to cook most of the meals. The wait is a little longer but always worth it.“
“Whenever I want to eat a hamburger, this place is one of the closest to home, but the last time I ordered, they gave me the wrong food, they gave me the wrong sandwich, it was vegetarian. It's not bad, but it wasn't something I wanted to try.“
“Saved our celebration of Cinco De Mayo after a horrible beginning at another location, we went to Orange Ale, it was our first time and definitely will not be our last. Wonderful, fast service. The music was great. The food was good. Great atmosphere. Recently moved from NYC it was nice to find a place that felt a little like back home.“
“Filets tips were amazing. The eggplant stack was good. It was a little loud but nice atmosphere. Service was ok little slow with drinks, they were just ok not amazing. I think he was new but very polite. Food came out fast.Above all I would totally go back!“
