“I used the drive thru, the guy who took my order was very polite and helpful. He had a great sense of humor and seemed very cool! I asked him what he like best on the menu and he advised me to get the grill chicken cheese burrito. He asked if I’d like to make it a combo, and I said yes! The next window is where it got even better, even the cook in the background had a great sense of humor, he said hey what’s up and said hey man have a great day. He passed over the bag to the guy in the window who took my order. They where all happy looking men enjoying their time at work. It made me smile! Good job guys. I didn’t get their names but ok posting a pic of my order number for verification and hopefully they are recognized for their great customer service.“

“This place is amazing in all regards, it is our go-to dining out spot of choice. As others have noted, the birria is absolutely incredible. The detail that brings my family in consistently is that it is a standard meat you can order any of their many offerings with. Kudos for that idea ! Note: They are no longer at 50 Rapallo avenue. They moved right around the corner to a more visible location that will get more foot traffic passing by, I hope it works out well for them. I believe the attached map has the new location correctly shown, the posted address has not been updated. As of mid April 2026, they were closed to renovate the new location, I was told their projected re-opening was going to be in early - mid May. Good idea to call first. If the owners or any customers have an update on that, it would be great to post. My daughter and I are suffering from La Casa Mania birria withdrawals and need a fix soon !“

“This place opened in Meriden a little bit ago and I always seemed interested so today I was like you know what I might as well try this place and I’m glad I did. Everything was so fresh. The restaurant was so clean and their options were incredible I didn’t know what to choose. I’m very glad I grabbed the cheesy steak fajita burrito. It was very balanced and you can tell this was a good cut of steak. We’re definitely recommend this restaurant, especially if you want a unique twist on a burrito.“

“First time coming here, we were a little disappointed that the items both my husband and I wanted to order were unavailable at the time however what we did end up getting was very delicious. I got the birria tacos which I've had from many other places and these were the best ones by far. The beef brisket was perfectly tender, the flavor of the birria and consumé was amazing. My husband ended up getting the pastor burrito and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We love a good place to get some tacos/burritos and this was some quality authentic Mexican food. We will definitely be coming here again.“

“This is a really cool location with delicious food. The service is really fast and the atmosphere is fun. I get take out from here probably every other week or so and I have done dine-in too. My go to order is the ENCHILADAS BANDERA which has 3 different enchiladas. They're all delish but the cheese one is beyond amazing. My partner often gets the BURRITO DE CARNITAS and he swears by it and loves it. Their margs are really great too. For apps, the BURRITO DE CARNITAS is really great, its essentially a cheese dip with chorizo. So good.
This location has plenty of parking plus many stores and shops around it so you can always run errands when in the area too. Overall, great restaurant.“

“If you’re looking for Mexican food on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, you have choices. If you want to sip margaritas out of a fish bowl and guacamole made table side then Puerto Vallarta and Azteca might be for you. If you want fast food from chain restaurants then there’s Chipotle and Moe’s. But if you’re looking for the best authentic Mexican fare the Berlin Turnpike has to offer, look no further the Salsa 4 Taqueria! It’s a hole in wall that you would drive by if you weren’t looking for it. I had beef empanadas, a trio of tacos, el pastor, pork belly, and deep fried shrimp. I’ve never been to Mexico but I imagine this is what I would get on the streets there. Be prepared to wait for your food. Empanadas are made to order and the corn taco shells are pressed and cooked to order with a choice of soft or crunchy! The el pastor was very flavorful, pork belly with a nice char on the outside melts in your mouth, the batter fried shrimp were large and delicious, shredded beef in the empanadas was braised to perfection! Sorry for the lack of pictures, I dug in before it crossed my mind. Yes, it’s that good!“

“My current top hidden gem for amazing and authentic Mexican food. Hidden in La plaza del Mercado, this spot has the most amazing tripe soup, where the tripe was properly cleaned, no funky taste/smell, cooked perfectly tender. Great caldo de res as well, the meat was tender and had a strong beef flavor, soup was light and refreshing and the veggies provided a nice natural sweetness and the squash was incredible inside. Their tacos are great as well and their pricing is a bargain and their portions are quite good.“
