“I stopped in here with my son and overall, the food is pretty darn good. The only down side to our stopping in here was the server taking our order. Not sure if they were having a bad day or had a difficult customer before us but either way, their attitude was awful. We didn't appreciate the attitude or the rushing of our order.“

“I used the drive thru, the guy who took my order was very polite and helpful. He had a great sense of humor and seemed very cool! I asked him what he like best on the menu and he advised me to get the grill chicken cheese burrito. He asked if I’d like to make it a combo, and I said yes! The next window is where it got even better, even the cook in the background had a great sense of humor, he said hey what’s up and said hey man have a great day. He passed over the bag to the guy in the window who took my order. They where all happy looking men enjoying their time at work. It made me smile! Good job guys. I didn’t get their names but ok posting a pic of my order number for verification and hopefully they are recognized for their great customer service.“

“This place is amazing in all regards, it is our go-to dining out spot of choice. As others have noted, the birria is absolutely incredible. The detail that brings my family in consistently is that it is a standard meat you can order any of their many offerings with. Kudos for that idea ! Note: They are no longer at 50 Rapallo avenue. They moved right around the corner to a more visible location that will get more foot traffic passing by, I hope it works out well for them. I believe the attached map has the new location correctly shown, the posted address has not been updated. As of mid April 2026, they were closed to renovate the new location, I was told their projected re-opening was going to be in early - mid May. Good idea to call first. If the owners or any customers have an update on that, it would be great to post. My daughter and I are suffering from La Casa Mania birria withdrawals and need a fix soon !“

“First time at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were very friendly. Many options to choose from. I ordered Alambre. It was a skillet meal with steak, peppers and onions smothered in cheese, served with rice and beans. With it came five mini tortillas. This meal was very flavorful and filling. Also ordered was a burrito filled with steak, rice, beans, pico de gallo and cheese. Prices are very reasonable, atmosphere is good and the service was excellent.“

“The food was amazing! We tried the birria tacos, steak tacos, and guacamole with chips, it was all so flavorful and delicious! The meat portion in the tacos was more generous than other places we’ve tried.
The kid at the front was so kind and patient while I took forever deciding what I wanted (I wanted to try everything, and I’ll keep going back till I do). He was very polite with me and my kids, and then was being silly with the kids like a big brother, they loved it! He made the experience much more than just waiting for a takeout order. “If you’re looking for Mexican food on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, you have choices. If you want to sip margaritas out of a fish bowl and guacamole made table side then Puerto Vallarta and Azteca might be for you. If you want fast food from chain restaurants then there’s Chipotle and Moe’s. But if you’re looking for the best authentic Mexican fare the Berlin Turnpike has to offer, look no further the Salsa 4 Taqueria! It’s a hole in wall that you would drive by if you weren’t looking for it. I had beef empanadas, a trio of tacos, el pastor, pork belly, and deep fried shrimp. I’ve never been to Mexico but I imagine this is what I would get on the streets there. Be prepared to wait for your food. Empanadas are made to order and the corn taco shells are pressed and cooked to order with a choice of soft or crunchy! The el pastor was very flavorful, pork belly with a nice char on the outside melts in your mouth, the batter fried shrimp were large and delicious, shredded beef in the empanadas was braised to perfection! Sorry for the lack of pictures, I dug in before it crossed my mind. Yes, it’s that good!“

Expectations should be high, as this restaurant is owned by the name owner that introduced Mexican food to CT with his first establishment in Middlebury CT. It’s only be opened in Plainville CT for a few months, word of mouth will get around and this will be Planiville’s hidden gem.“

It is a food truck in a lot, but it's clean and they have picnic tables, although I ate in my car. You can see people working hard, and super nice. Can't wait to come back!“
