Yes, the restaurant was almost full, but it really wasn't loud or squished in like others have mentioned with the seating situation. Our waitress brought out bruschetta to start, and it was great, we ordered their calamari dish, which was quite large, and they brought complimentary mussels to go with that dish. We got our main dishes and of course by that time you were quite full but we ate what we could and wrapped it up. Our reservation was for 7 pm, we left around 10pm. You are fed the entire time, so honestly it doesn't feel like your waiting for your entrees hungry. I will be trying their new location once they move to see if things change.“

This spot has been high on my list of restaurants to visit ever since they reopened after COVID and remodeling. The interior was so charming, with a classy vintage feel that I absolutely loved. The menu definitely had some good choices, and while everything we ordered was good, we did agree that we’ve had better. Mostly we thought my fiancé’s ribeye could’ve used more seasoning, but the truffle butter that he had with it definitely added to the flavor. The pasta with my chicken parm was a bit cold, so it must’ve been plated before the chicken. One of the highlights for us though was when the waitress came around with a platter to showcase their desserts - it helped us make our decision on the banana banoffee and chocolate cake. The banoffee was excellent, but the chocolate cake was a little dry. Overall, I do think this is a great option to have in downtown Waterbury, and I would still come back to try some other dishes. We came on a weeknight and were impressed to see that it got pretty busy at peak dinner time!“

“Aziago's is THE PLACE for catering, and they were able to accommodate my food order for Christmas Day relatively close to the holiday. Due to multi-house traveling, I didn't have the ability to cook my Christmas dinner for family when they came over to my house for Christmas. Aziago pricing was extremely reasonable for catering. Sometimes, during the holidays, restaurants will double they prices for catering on the same dishes they serve on a regular night (I know from calling around). This was not my experience with Aziago. They were fairly priced and had a wide range of options to choose from (another restriction many restaurants have for holidays). The food was DELICIOUS. I chose to order alot of the classic Italian dishes in catering sizes vs. the standard Christmas dinner fare. It's probably some of the best catering I've had from a local restaurant. I didn't get a chance to eat there but the inside of their restaurant is beautiful (especially during the holiday). Keep in mind.... Drop off location was less than 4 miles from the shop. That was the only frustrating thing- next time we will 1000% pick up to save time. The pizzas themselves were great!
