Red Lion Hotel Cromwell

Was given the wrong room at first as someone already occupied the first one I was given. Seen many folks with room issues like malfunctioning air conditioner. However housekeeping is very awesome.

I wasn't expecting much given the reviews, but it was convenient because it was the location of a trade show I was attending. It looks like the hotel was a name-brand chain at one time and now is Red Lion. It appears to be dated/minimally updated since its previous incarnation, but the rooms were clean and the carpets smelled fresh (although the elevator smelled musty and it was run down.) Took a whirlwind tour of New England in early October. The first night stay was at Red Lion in Cromwell, CT. First impression was that it was an old worn out Radisson Hotel. The elevator (one of the two, was out of order) was old and small. The elevator floor was worn out. The room was outdated but the bed was very comfortable and everything appeared to be very clean.
