“The food here was incredible. I ordered 3 rolls of sushi and miso soup for lunch to work and ordered extra food for dinner later. The sushi and soup was great. And the Korean fried chicken and fried rice and chicken and broccoli I ordered for my partner and I for dinner was sooooo good and it sat in my fridge all day at work and was reheated hours later and I was still blown away. I can't wait to order from here again!“
“Sharon and Chris were terrific and took great care of us- the sushi is hands down one of the best in Fairfield county. I loved the miso cod roll and BYOB is great- you can bring wine or sake. They do charge at $15 corkage fee which is very reasonable“
“One of the better sushi places I’ve experienced in Fairfield County, with a lovely ambiance! We experienced outstanding service, and even on a very busy Saturday evening, service moved right along. Our sushi and other food was delicious. We’ll be back!“
“Good quality sushi! I recommend eating in this restaurant because the ambiance is really nice and gives a more elevated feel. I had their sashimi and rolls and I can taste a better quality difference here. I have also eaten their bento boxes and they're really delicious with teriyaki and also katsu chicken. I recommend eating in for the experience and waitresses have been really nice to help explain different types of fish. Their tea was also really nice too. I will continue to come here whenever I want Japanese cuisine and good service.“
“I recently dined at Ocha Thai & Japanese Cuisine in Stamford, CT, and was thoroughly impressed by the harmonious blend of Thai and Japanese flavors. The standout dish was their Pad Thai, a delightful mix of perfectly cooked noodles, savory flavors, and fresh shrimp, complemented by crunchy peanuts. The sushi, particularly the Dragon Roll, was fresh and exquisitely prepared. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was remarkably attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Ocha is a culinary gem in Stamford, perfect for anyone who appreciates fine Thai and Japanese cuisine.“
“The food is very good. Especially the pork gyoza. They have comfy seating and the wait for food is about 5-10 minutes.Vegetarian options: If you’re vegetarian, Open Rice is still a good place to eat.Parking: A few parking lots around the area, which usually aren’t too packed.Kid-friendliness: Lots of yummy food!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp leading up to the door.“
“The food is great, but the manager Stephanie went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. My girlfriend has a seafood allergy and Stephanie, unbeknownst to us went to the restaurant next door to get a piece of chicken cooked without shellfish contact or cross contamination from fryer. She did not even charge us. Also the bartender was a great guy as well. Highly recommend the food, the people working there were a huge bonus. Thank you Stephanie.“
“Found this place while driving on Post road in Westport. It was a hot Sunday afternoon and I was very hungry so this place caught my attention. The place is small with very limited seating but they have a pretty elaborate menu. Most impressive is their mobile app which was very easy to follow even I, who struggle with using any kind of app, was pretty comfortable placing an order.I went with their shrimp Shumai that included 8 pieces and lomien + friend chicken, that also came with a side of soup. Both the items very flavorful, the right amount of salt in the lomien and seemed very fresh.Prices are a bit high, but for that area they are appropriate. Good addition to Westport“
“I had an amazing dining experience at Bond Hibachi Grill in Norwalk, CT. The food was delicious, and the hibachi show was entertaining. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the evening even more enjoyable. I can't wait to visit again!“
“Food came out quickly!Reasonable price for food!!Food quality was good for all you can eat.Pre warning! The portion was kinda big for hot food, sushi and others! Big roll ( a lot of rice). Don't order too much at the beginning!Definitely. Going back again!“
“Kazu is the place to go for Sushi and Japanese cuisine in the Norwalk area. The fish is high quality and the staff and sushi chefs are top notch. The staff is super friendly and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Don't overlook the bar either! It doesn't matter if you're looking for lunch or dinner or just a quick snack and a drink they've got you covered. Rob and his staff are awesome.“
“Ordered a variety of sushi and hot appetizers and it was absolutely delicious and fresh. Servers were fast and attentive, even though it was a busy night. They seemed to know most people who came in so it was to see that they have regulars and remember them. Ambiance is calm and welcoming. I believe it is a family owned restaurant and they strive to provide a well rounded experience.“
“I chose this place based on Yelp reviews and it didn't disappoint. We were in town for a soccer game and after the game the girls were in the mood for some sushi. Parking was tough as there were no spots available on the street, so I parked in the back across the street in the bank lot, luckily it was 8pm and it's not open. Once we walked in we were greeted by staff, and were pleased by the inside decor, as it has a nice authentic Japanese scene. Ordering was easy and kids got the sushi rolls they wanted and those Japanese sodas. I got a a rainbow roll and a Godzilla roll and a bowl of chicken fried rice. The girls got California rolls tuna rolls. The total bill was $125 + tip. So, it's what I expected to pay for good food and service in a nice area. I recommend if you like Sushi or Japanese food.“
“I lived in Japan for several years and, since returning to Stamford, I have been looking for a Japanese restaurant that knows how correctly to prepare and serve Japanese food, sashimi and sushi in particular. After many unsatisfactory experiences at various local spots I found Kiku and my search was over. These folks really know their Japanese cooking. Everything was perfect -- and the price is very reasonable. Now, I eat at Kiku once a week and find 100% satisfaction. They also do a very tasty drunken noodles, but I go there mainly for their raw fish. Also, attentive service. Just great! To find this sort of dining experience in a strip mall in Springdale is amazing.“
“Great customer service, owners are the best (super kind and never fail to put their customers first). Food is great. The soba noodles, hot spicy ramen, and the steak teriyaki are my favorites. Really good atmosphere and always a good time.“
“We always order from Fuji for our office lunch meetings, when we want Japanese or Chinese. Both cuisines are of incredible quality. They even added the names of my employees on the packaging which shows the small details do not go unnoticed. Amazing place!! Highly recommend!!“
“Always delicious food! Eel, eel and more eel. Sushi, Shashimi, Unagi Don dinner, Rolls, Tempura, Dumplings, Edamame, house salad, miso soup, my Steak & Lobster Tail came steaming to the table! Diet Coke in a can. Service is very efficient and helpful. Thank “
“Almost hidden at the far end of the food court at the Stamford mall, it doesn't catch your eye immediately but to us regulars it's the definition of Japanese takeout/fast food. The food is good, not heavy or too greasy despite the oil they squirt unto the meat during the grilling process. Still their teriyaki chicken is soft and succulent. Their seasoning and salt are minimal but along with the always fresh veggies the result is healthy and satisfying food even if a little bland. The counter service staff is polite and attentive to your requests but as for atmosphere I'm not sure what to say. There is none. This is the mall after all. They are very fast at getting your meal ready but don't expect them to smile and make small chat. Fast good food. That is the point!“
“Vanessa (owner) is the best. She clearly cares about quality and Kampei II delivers. It’s always fresh, always hot, and always delicious. Can’t go wrong with anything whether you go for the Chinese menu or Japanese/sushi. Order with confidence and enjoy!“
“Simply the best! as another reviewer stated I almost don’t want to write the review & let everyone know just how great this restaurant is!. The waitress is superb at service, foods always fresh and the staff deserves to know they are very appreciated by their customers!.“
“During my recent visit to Kashi during Stamford's restaurant week, I had an exceptional experience that stood out in every way. The moment we were seated, the service immediately set a high bar. Our server, whose name we regrettably didn't catch, was the highlight of our evening. He was not only remarkably kind but also infused our dining experience with a delightful sense of humor, making our time there truly enjoyable. His impeccable customer service and attention to detail were second to none, and he undoubtedly deserves recognition, if not a promotion, for his extraordinary efforts. The food was another major highlight of my group’s visit to Kashi. It arrived promptly, which was impressively quick, and the presentation was visually stunning, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail. The quality and flavor of the dishes we tried were outstanding, contributing to a memorable dining experience.Opting to dine at Kashi during restaurant week was part of my broader initiative to explore Stamford more thoroughly, as I often find myself dining in the city. This visit surprised me and exceeded my expectations, as there were other places where I was disappointed. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and the atmosphere has convinced me to add Kashi to my list of favorite restaurants and to recommend it to anyone looking for a top-quality dining or a date night experience in Stamford.“
“Best fried rice I've ever eaten in my life. Everything I've ever ordered here has been absolutely amazing. Service has always been great and fast, the only thing is the price is decently expensive at around $15-$25 a plate depending on what you get, put in my opinion 100% worth it.“
“Given the ~$25pp price point, the selection (e.g. sushi, sashimi, hibachi, standard buffet options, etc.), a clean restaurant, attentive service (though it was an empty restaurant when we went for lunch), and the quality being higher than what you would expect if I said "sushi buffet", this earns its above average rating. Not a must stop for any one item as it doesn't excel at any one thing, but it delivers decently on many fronts. It won't convert you if you aren't into trying many items or a buffet person generally, but if you fit that category I'd be surprised if you were disappointed. If you are solely coming for the sushi/sashimi, there are AYCE places that specialize in that area that will be better suited for you (e.g. Sushi House, Sushi Palace, Sushi X2, etc.). The waiter robot is a cool concept and appeared to work well, though it didn't wait on us while we were there.“
“I have ordered from them regularly for a few years. Chicken Thai curry. It’s delicious. They have cancelled delivery orders from time time….I remember the restaurant pre covid. The restaurant was always busy, great ambience, fresh food, lovely service. I will continue to support them.“
“My husband and I had a date night dinner at OKO in Westport, CT. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Julia and Rosy did a good job recommending some of the items we ordered. Also had a chance to meet chef Brian, he was very friendly. All the staff in the restaurant were friendly and welcoming, it made us feel comfortable. Overall, we had a great time!Dietary restrictions: I don’t eat meat, I had fish and veggie items. The fish in this restaurant is very fresh“
“Took my son and husband there Friday around 5pm. Was so empty we had a private hibachi experience. Filet was great and noodles were phenomenal. The waitresses were so kind and went above and beyond to accommodate my 1 year old. Looking forward to going back during the week after work!Kid-friendliness: Have highchairs available“
“I used to work around the corner from Edo. My go to dish is the Stone Bowl Bimbimbap. Everytime I am in the Norwalk area I try to visit, but I kind of agree with the other sentiments Service and quality went down from prepandemic. Giving them an extra star so they don't go in a death spiral. Hope they see this message and adjust.“
“This place is the best!! The chicken was very crispy and the sauce was tasty. You could easily tell that the sushi was fresh. I requested the drunken noodles to be extra spicy and they were the perfect amount of spice. I highly recommend Asia Hamachi!“
“I absolutely love everything about this restaurant. I love the hibachi and the chefs energy and I love sitting back where it's quiet by the fireplace. They are so accommodating. I can request my sushi rolls be made the way I like them with no questions asked. The servers and the hostess are always super friendly. I would gladly bring my friends and family from out of state here to enjoy the sushi. The food is always fresh and the environment is always friendly and welcoming.“
“To be perfectly honest, I have been here in 2 years but still felt compelled to leave a review. This was the best poke that I've ever had in my life, way better to Pokeworks which sometimes screws up the rice (like how do you do that?). Best post-workout meal ever was two scoops of salmon and tuna each with a beer and plenty of toppings. It was always fresh with massive portions if you became a regular and tipped well. Even in NYC, the typical poke joint topping selection pales in comparison.“
“Throughout all of my asian cuisine seeking, this place has left the most phenomenal impact in my journey. The staff treated everyone in my party like family, and it was truly touching to see how heartwarming and dedicated they are to their jobs. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, and it increased my experience exponentially. Subsequently, the food was also absolutely scrumptious. It felt like the chef put in all of his effort into each and every one of the dishes he served as the food was not only flavorful, but also mouthwatering. The service was surprisingly quick, and don’t even get me started with the quality of the food. Each ingredient the chef used seemed exceptionally fresh, which made the food undeniably the best asian food I have ever tasted. This place should certainly be on your devoured list. The general tso’s chicken was my favorite dish. The dish had a combination of the ideal amount of spice, sweetness, and sourness, which made each bite seemed like a dream come true. Each piece of chicken was tender and soft, and the food was served hot and ready to be demolished. All in all, this restaurant touched all of the top criterias that I have for a restaurant and I would give it a 100/5 stars if I could. Come check this restaurant out, because you will 100% not regret it. ???️Kid-friendliness: I had my little cousin, who was about 6 years old, come here and the staff was extremely friendly and supportive by entertaining him while the food was being made. My cousin was laughing the entire time and everyone else did as well. The staff really does deserve to be praised because they are absolutely golden.???“
“They don’t Japanese make restaurants like this anymore! I loved it all. The servers were kind & quick, the atmosphere was very old school, and the food was fantastic for a good price. It was lovely. I’ll definitely be going back. Don’t. Change. Anything.“
