“This restaurant is one of my favorite restaurants of all time, Amazing Japanese food, with amazing atmosphere. Definitely a must if you haven’t been here before. Great service, and very consistent. I’ve been going with family here for years and we’ve always been treated right.“
“MIKO Sushi and Hibachi in East Northport is one of the better sushi and hibachi restaurants around. The staff very nice and helpful. It is always fun to bring the Kids or Grandkids to enjoy the hibachi show. The place has a nice bar area when you come in. There is plenty of seating all around.“
“I love the food at Wild ginger. Tonight I order the crunchy salmon roll, hibachi fried rice shrimp and a sex on the beach. The drink wasn't the best but it wasn't bad either there not really known for their drinks. The service was pretty good and efficient. The restaurant isn't super big but it accommodates everyone. I also like the atmosphere in the restaurant.“
“This place was so nice! I’d recommend going on a not so busy day, the service would have been much better. We walked in and everyone was running around like a headless chicken. But the food was amazing highly recommend the sushi! Everything is Halal which is so nice!Dietary restrictions: Fully HALAL ❤️? Alhumdulilah including steak ?! So good!“
“Ma and Pop shop that melts my heart when I’m there (2nd time going). They greet you when you come in and are the only employees there (so definitely have patience though their kindness makes up for any time waiting). Each time I’ve been there they’ve given us a complementary “starter” (2 pieces per person of a spicy, on-the-house sushi).Today we went for the lunch combo and that’s been our favorite so far since the price is good for what you get and I love that it comes with a choice of miso or salad (last time we went for dinner and I had their bulgolgi sushi which was amazing but I loved how fresh and filling their lunch special was while also being budget friendly). They even served us free dessert both times; a complementary (and beautifully cut) orange slice and half a mochi each (last time it was the vanilla mochi which I loved as it reminded me of an orange creamsicle with the orange slice but today’s was a matcha mocha that was absolutely delicious). We’ll definitely be back :)Vegetarian options: I had a sweet potato sushi roll that was so good! I also see they have avocado rolls and other rolls that are just surrounded by a single but delish vegetable.Kid-friendliness: There was a mom and her little toddler waiting for takeout; the owners not only gave them the complementary starter while they waited for their order but even a whole mochi to the toddler as she was waiting with her mom. The owners have the biggest hearts! ❤️“
“A friend recommended this restaurant to us to celebrate my dad's birthday. The food and staff were both great. The owner was also there that evening and was super nice, she came out to greet us and to wish for my dad to have a wonderful birthday.“
“I think was absolutely great food but portions are on the smaller side and there is other locations closer for more reasonable price. I spent 80 on sushi and I was still hungry:/ . For that I will be going somewhere else. Not exactly pocket friendly. Cool spot to hang in patchogue “
“To start off the yummy journey, arriving to the area and doesn't need to be fancy. The food is where it's at, when the second brain tummy is satisfy with great delicious goodness, we live much better in so many ways. Part of life itself. Craft on my friend.“
“Truly the best sushi!!!! Everything about this place is incredible. The service and food are top notch. We searched for a sushi place and never found one we wanted to go back until we came to Mizu. Now we can’t get sushi anywhere else! Get the spicy tuna rice appetizer, you won’t be disappointed!“
“The restaurant is very well decorated and very clean. The staff was very nice and helped me since this was my first time in. I got the chicken karaage and a brown sugar milk tea. The chicken was hot and crunchy and was so good i want seconds and the milk tea was so refreshing with it. 10/10“
“My boyfriend usually gets the Mongolian Beef with rice. Everything is of good portion, CONSISTENT (very important), and unbeatable prices!! The service staff is also very attentive and warm. We’re looking forward to our next visit back… which will be soon!“
“Lia has been my server 3 times before and she never disappoints, she's always there when we need her and her attitude is just fantastic. The food also never disappoints, I order multiple orders the spicy chicken every time and it's always better than the last. I bring all my friends and family here because of how fantastic this place is.Kid-friendliness: My kid sister loves it every time, they so so kind to her.“
“Kashi is my go-to sushi spot, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently fantastic, especially their signature rolls like the Mummy and the American Dream, which are always fresh and flavorful. Their appetizers are tasty too, and I highly recommend trying them. For dessert, the fried Oreos paired with green tea ice cream are a must-try. What's more, the staff is always friendly and great, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. Overall, Kashi earns a perfect 10 out of 10 from me! It's a top-notch sushi restaurant with great food, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service.“
“Went on a Monday when a lot of other sushi places are typically closed. I am happy to report that the fish was very fresh. We did the omakase. It is $120 a person for 15 tastings. They also offer 10% cash discount. The staff were very attentive. The inside is very modern and clean. The omakase was a great experience with various different flavor profiles. I liked that the omakase included appetizers and dessert. Definitely would recommend.“
“I was so hungry, I took a bite before I remembered to take a picture! The last time I was in this area for work I had both dinner and lunch the next day at this restaurant. This time I was considering trying another place a little further away, but since the weather is nasty, I decided to stay close to my hotel, and come here again. The sushi does not disappoint. I started with the colorful role and my own creation of a salmon hand roll with Ikura. It's a great combination, you should try it! I decided I was still hungry, but trying to get a hold of my waiter to order some more food was difficult. Even though it was in the wrong order, I decided I needed a bowl of miso soup. I wish they had Inari sushi, but they didn't so I settled for a piece of tamago just to have something sweet to end with. The restaurant is a little bit noisy, but otherwise comfortable. There is an excellent chance. I will be back for lunch again tomorrow!“
“Had a beyond amazing experience with Yang as our server. Originally I had gone to the Commack location and did not have the best experience but Yang made that all go away. She was very helpful, explained what each plate was as we received them. She also was very clear on how and when the tray must be changed and would let us know when it was time. Yang and the rest of the staff were very friendly and attentive at all times, even showing us how to properly cook the meals. I’ll repeat 1000000000000/10 food, service, and atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back to this location with my friends and families!“
“Aji 53 was amazing all around from the moment we walked into the door until we left. The hostess, waitress, ambiance, food and presentation were impeccable! Everyone in my group had sushi, and I had the salmon teriyaki. Endings raved about their meals and cocktails. We'll definitely be back!“
“My wife and I order out sushi all the time. We used to order from somewhere else and were disappointed when that place made their sushi smaller. We found out several places actually started charging more and providing less. A friend recommended A&A and we haven’t looked back. The sushi is fantastic quality and taste and they never skimp on ingredients. For larger orders they have a menu of pre-selected items that is very convenient and cost effective. Definitely worth every penny. I can’t say enough good things. Look no further for sushi.Ps-they have out free sake and $15 gift certificates with orders of $100 or more during the Dec holidays, which was a nice touch.“
“This is SUSHI!! Legit sushi on the island. We came here to celebrate valentine's day and this place did not disappoint. Honestly, only one of the few places on the island that has all the unique high end fishes e.g. Uni, Wagyu. They even have omakase which is impressive. We enjoyed their chef special rolls, BBQ Squid and Cracked Uni Roll. Highly recommend those.“
“Excellent, fresh food. Clean atmosphere with the nicest, kindest staff you ever want to meet! We try to come here every week and highly recommend Tomo! I haven’t eaten ANYTHING that wasn’t good and my husband has eaten every special roll they offer and many of their other entrees, he has no favorite. My Aunt who introduced us to this restaurant loves the falling in love roll and the carpaccio appetizer, the Godzilla roll is one of my faves along with the crunchy crunchy appetizer.“
“I always enjoy dinner at akebono. The sushi has always been great, as is the service. Patty makes each visit special. You can't go wrong with any of their rolls. As for apps, we always get the spicy tuna tartar, but recently we also tried their garlic edamame. It was delicious and we'll probably be ordering two appetizers from now on.“
“Osaka has the best fried rice in Huntington. The steamed dumplings are good, but the fried rice is top tier. I had the noodle udon once and that was delicious and ordered tofu teriyaki for take out. The tofu was soft but well friend and they gave you plenty of teriyaki sauce on the side so the food didn't get soggy.“
“Best hibachi around lately, just be aware they have a lot of birthday parties so the lights will occasionally go dim and they'll start playing birthday music and all that. If you can get past that the food is great, a decent value among hibachi restaurants, and very generous proportions, especially with the fried rice.“
“Sushi is always great! Reasonable prices as well. Prices have gone up recently like every other place, BUT they are the only place that also increased their portion sizes. Rolls got bigger! So well worth it!Seriously, I can't recommend this place enough for take out sushi. I keep coming back. There's a few seats inside as well, which are nice, but they definitely cater to take out a bit more.“
“This place is amazing! The service is beyond expectation, the food was great tasted fresh and the rolls were some of the best I’ve ever had. The sanitation of this place is also very good, it’s nice and clean, the table are always wiped down before a new person comes!!! I’ve been to many sushi places and there was always something about the food or sanitary concerns but this restaurant has no issues! I will be coming back every soon!“
“My wife and I walked in for dinner without a reservation maybe two months ago at around 6:30 on a Saturday. Since the wait was a bit longer than usual we were kindly given a plate of Edamame on the house. That's when we noticed that our server was working the entire dining room by herself after another called in sick last-minute.Being short staffed is a challenge on any night but this was a packed house on Saturday night with a large number of take-out orders flowing and the team stepped up with impressive dexterity. Given the circumstances mistakes can happen but we didn't notice any.Our meals were delicious, creative and beautiful. We've since returned several times for the great food but the real triumph that night was how well everyone in the front house performed.Kid-friendliness: We saw several kids having a great time!“
“Kohaku is my favorite Japanese restaurant. I've been coming here for over 30 years. The owner and staff are always courteous and nice. The atmosphere is cozy and there are plenty of tables for the patrons to sit down. The food is very good. I usually order the Johnnie roll which consists of crabmeat, avocado, cucumber, rolled in seaweed and topped with shredded crab meat and spicy mayonnaise. It has eight pieces and is a delicious meal especially in the summer. I also like their delicately fried shrimp tempura with tempura vegetables and sauce. Before your meal, they bring out a vegetable appetizer which is nice. I highly recommend Kohaku for lunch or dinner as well at take out.“
“One of my go-to sushi spots for a few reasons. The price is a huge driving factor, especially in this economy sheesh! I'll keep it brief though, this sushi spot is right off the service road on the I-27. It may look a bit awkward on the inside because they share the location with a chinese take-out spot so both establishments are essentially connected at the hip. I love their lunch special here: Any 3 classic rolls & either soup, salad, or soda for under $15. They stuff these rolls too so I can never finish my meal in one sitting. I will say you pay for what you get however, this sushi is tasty but it definitely isn't the best sushi available. It is the most convenient and affordable though and for those reasons I will continue coming here when I need a quick sushi fix.“
“The manager Cindy is sweet, personable and extremely accommodating as is the waitress also named Cindy. Their sushi is always fresh and the amount of fish in the nigiri and rolls are amazing!!!!As a sushi lover and a personal chef, I highly recommend this secret gem. They are located on the west side of Broadway/Greenlawn Rd., on the same side of the street as 7-11, within a small group of stores. Not to be confused with the other Japanese across the street. That's a completely different story.PS. They have a sushi roll special that's really amazing as a quick takeout.“
“This restaurant lives up to its name with congratulations and longevity. The fish is so fresh that it melts in your mouth. Every dish is cooked just right without anything to complain about. Try the bento box, sashimi or omakase, and unadorned at lunch. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of the ingredients and well they cook everything. To top it off, service is helpful, friendly, and fast. Parking is ample in the lot and there are stores in the strip mall to hang around if there is a line. We'll be back for sure given it's so hard to find a place this yummy at a deal too!“
“Came up saying I visited a year ago. I’ve actually visited several times since the latest being January 7, 2024. Love their food and there is plenty of it. Hibachi is so fresh and delicious and the gentleman cooking. It was a complete entertainer.“
“This restaurant is small and cute. The owners are a couple that have owned this place for 16 years and they are really cute, patient, kind, and knowledgeable of the different foods and drinks they are serving. Plenty of options for meat eaters and veggie eaters. If you're looking for a small, quiet and quaint place, give them a chance.“
“An under-the-radar gem, Dake Korean (it's actually a Korean eaterie, not a sushi place) is a must visit and probably the best Korean food I've tasted on Long Island. My son was in the know about the place, and took me there for a belated birthday dinner. Started with excellent banchan and an amazing seafood pancake, then a dish of phenomenal squid and pork belly, all washed down with yummy soju. Loved Dake!“
“A must come hibachi spot! The service alone is worth a visit. These people know how to light up any event! Mike the director is such a kind gem and Sam, the bartender is very attentive, talented and just an overall joy to be around. The ambiance makes way for a very engaging atmosphere. I love how everyone here just genuinely loves to be working here. Come experience the excitement! The chicken teriyaki was to die for! Very flavorful and filling!“
“This place is great for lunch since they have deals. A bento box is a good option since it bring plenty of food for a good price. The teriyaki chicken has good flavor. It is grilled perfectly then topped with the teriyaki sauce. The tempura veggies that comes with it has great flavor from the batter. Good “
“Almost from the 1st day they opened in the original location in Elwood it has been amazing. From watching Tom making us Sushi to growing the business to meeting his wife and children as-well as making friends. The consistency and quality has never changed. ?“
“I'd been rather dismayed at most of the local restaurants around Huntington and East Northport, coming from LA and NYC. But then we ate at Aki, newly relocated from their previous location on Jericho Turnpike. I'd have to say this is some of the best Sushi I've ever eaten. The Jericho roll was a spectacular taste sensation far surpassing anything I've been served at the places sushi fanatics have dragged me to around LA and NYC. Nobu ain't got nothing on this place - and the prices were unbelievably affordable.“
