“We get takeout from here probably once every few weeks. Everything is always wonderful! Orders are always correct, ingredients are fresh, and everything is tasty. They have my whole family’s favorite salad dressing of any Japanese restaurant, too (not the typical ginger dressing, but more of a soy-sesame). They are also the nicest people and super accommodating to requests, and they always have kid chopsticks (rubber-banded together) ready to go. Highly recommend!“

“Went on a Monday when a lot of other sushi places are typically closed. I am happy to report that the fish was very fresh. We did the omakase. It is $120 a person for 15 tastings. They also offer 10% cash discount. The staff were very attentive. The inside is very modern and clean. The omakase was a great experience with various different flavor profiles. I liked that the omakase included appetizers and dessert. Definitely would recommend.“

“Ive selfishly waited way too long to write this review because I kind of don't want this place to get any busier but they deserve any and all accolades. Up until I found Kiku, I hated sushi. Never was very much into fish of any kind but I have been converted. The sushi here is incredible. So fresh you'd think the ocean was in their backyard. Everyone that works here is so friendly and welcoming. The waitress barely even needs to take my order as she always remembers the little things like how i eat way too much ginger and wasabi and always get extra dressing with my salad. I've tried numerous other Sushi restaurants since Kiku and not one so far can hold a candle to the freshness, friendliness and affordability of Kiku. I couldn't recommend a restaurant more.“

We found out several places actually started charging more and providing less. A friend recommended A&A and we haven’t looked back. “Had a beyond amazing experience with Yang as our server. Originally I had gone to the Commack location and did not have the best experience but Yang made that all go away. She was very helpful, explained what each plate was as we received them. She also was very clear on how and when the tray must be changed and would let us know when it was time. “This is SUSHI!! Legit sushi on the island. We came here to celebrate valentine's day and this place did not disappoint. Honestly, only one of the few places on the island that has all the unique high end fishes e.g. Uni, Wagyu. They even have omakase which is impressive. We enjoyed their chef special rolls, BBQ Squid and Cracked Uni Roll. Highly recommend those.“

The food is consistently fantastic, especially their signature rolls like the Mummy and the American Dream, which are always fresh and flavorful. Their appetizers are tasty too, and I highly recommend trying them. For dessert, the fried Oreos paired with green tea ice cream are a must-try. The miso soup was obviously from a ready mix and had those tiny little completely uniform freeze-dried tofu pieces. Ebi Mayo/rock shrimp was better, but tiny portion. Kani salad had more lettuce than crab and didn't have crunchy panko on top. They're also really cheap with the sauces here. Overall it'll satisfy your cravings, but don't expect to be blown away. I honestly feel they're overpriced for the quality served.“

Since the wait was a bit longer than usual we were kindly given a plate of Edamame on the house. That's when we noticed that our server was working the entire dining room by herself after another called in sick last-minute.Being short staffed is a challenge on any night but this was a packed house on Saturday night with a large number of take-out orders flowing and the team stepped up with impressive dexterity. Given the circumstances mistakes can happen but we didn't notice any.Our meals were delicious, creative and beautiful. “One of my go-to sushi spots for a few reasons. The price is a huge driving factor, especially in this economy sheesh! I'll keep it brief though, this sushi spot is right off the service road on the I-27. It may look a bit awkward on the inside because they share the location with a chinese take-out spot so both establishments are essentially connected at the hip. I love their lunch special here: Any 3 classic rolls & either soup, salad, or soda for under $15. They stuff these rolls too so I can never finish my meal in one sitting. I will say you pay for what you get however, this sushi is tasty but it definitely isn't the best sushi available. It is the most convenient and affordable though and for those reasons I will continue coming here when I need a quick sushi fix.“

“The food was absolutely great. I had the Bakuto pork ramen and it was absolutely delicious, flavorful and rich broth and tender pork. I particularly liked the mushrooms included in the ramen. My friend had the spicy cold noodles which were also tasty. The service was great, we did have some issues with the waiter mishearing us, ordered chicken bun but got a shrimp bun, but the waiter was quick to comp us for the shrimp and put in the order for the chicken bun. Both buns were good but the chicken was better than the shrimp. The dumpling were solid but nothing special. A nice atmosphere, there was a mini Spock photo hidden in a tea cup which was cute. A great restaurant for a nice dinner!“
“Kohaku is my favorite Japanese restaurant. I've been coming here for over 30 years. The owner and staff are always courteous and nice. The atmosphere is cozy and there are plenty of tables for the patrons to sit down. The food is very good. I usually order the Johnnie roll which consists of crabmeat, avocado, cucumber, rolled in seaweed and topped with shredded crab meat and spicy mayonnaise. It has eight pieces and is a delicious meal especially in the summer. I also like their delicately fried shrimp tempura with tempura vegetables and sauce. Before your meal, they bring out a vegetable appetizer which is nice. I highly recommend Kohaku for lunch or dinner as well at take out.“
