“Came upon this place when we were in the neighborhood for the children's museum and my mother-in-law said she had a hankering for some ice cream. A lot of the reviews and some the photos here say it's a stand alone shop but the directions led us to a stand in front of a Zara and next to an Auntie Anne's pretzel stand. The stand was run by just one person who had to quite the line of folks aching for their ice cream folks. Between us four adults, we all chose different combinations of the Tiramisu, amorino, bacio, and chocolate. The gelato here is goooood - creamy, full flavor whether it be nutty, chocolate or cherry. My tot was a more of a fan of the cone than the gelato. The gelato here was not particularly pricey for Norwalk or it being gelato, as opposed to traditional ice cream.My one and only gripe was really that after the person finished serving up the line, he quickly wrapped up with a handmade BRB sign and left his post. The stand remained unmanaged and with some gelato-hungry potential customers lurking back and forth for at least 20 minutes. We eventually left and never saw the guy return to the stand after we finished our scoops. I hate to feel we really lucked out timing-wise but seemed like we did. Just hope to be as lucky the next time we are in the neighborhood and are craving a couple of scoops.“
“Omg!! I don't know where to begin..The mango mouse was amazing? light and full of flavor!! As was the chocolate cups with the cherries and chocolate cake. The chocolate crossiants were to die for!! I just wanted to order one of everything!! The smell hits you in the face when you walk in the door ! I mean a REAL BAKERY ! I wish I could have brought them back to Virginia with me! We were visiting and went two days in a row!! Oh the strawberry short cake is deliciously amazing!!!“
“My co-worker told me about this place, and I definitely had to check it out. What a delicious looking selection of pastries! I'm personally not a sweets person but was having a craving today! Stopped in for a slice of tiramisu, and wow, was it delicious! Best I've ever had! They also serve food, and I hear it's amazing! Will definitely be back for lunch!“
“Just know that there are no seats. This is take-out only.The Linzer cookies are excellent. Made, yes, with almond flour. Terrific.What they call a Quiche Lorraine is not a Quiche Lorraine. That beautiful creation is a egg/cream/Gruyere custard with copious amounts of shallots and bacon, in a pie crust. So, what is it here? It's more like a Spanish Tortilla - an egg pie, a dense one. To my palate, it was undersalted, and despite some ham and bacon, and red pepper, it had no flavor, but that's easily fixed. Seemed to have no cheese at all, a signature of a true quiche.Another fine item is their in-house baguette. I recommend it.They deserve your business.If the ownee decides to go for it and make a real Quiche Lorraine, I will drive up from New York City to try it. Owner, let me know!!“
“I am 100% Italian and I've been shopping at Angela Mia's for over forty years. At Crristmas and other holidays I buy a bunch of their pastries for my big family gatherings. I just love their pastries! We all do! However, I'm in Florida now and I was craving something from their bakery. So, I called and orderd a few pounds of their cookies a week ago. I just received them today after one week.Oh boy, am I dissapointed!!! Nowhere half as good as I expected!!! Plus, my favorite cookie wasn't even included! Not even one! They told me I would get an assortment of all their cookies. But, that wasn't true! Plus, they're all soft and almost mushy! I am so very dissapointed I am beside myself.To top it off, instead of their store price of $16.50 a pound. I wasn't even told with shipping it cost me over $30.00 a pound!!! Definately not at all worth the wait!!! Chow!NOTE: The following is being posted the very next dayby: Michael:I just spoke to the lady in charge of Angela Mia's Bakery; Angela herself! Our conversation has re-established my relationship and faith in her bakery! The fact is: The reason for the lost quality in shipping my order was because the shipment took an extra two days to receive over the weekend! Plus Monday was a holiday. As it turns out, it was just a matter of sircumstances beyond her control! Angela graciously offered me a resolution to my order and a resolve to any future orders not withstanding weekends.
