“Just had a retirement party there and the food was awesome. We had buffet of calamari, wings & Philly steak egg rolls as appetizers and chicken parm, salmon, steamed veggies and penne vodka plus salad and delicious bread. Everything was sumptuous! Service outstanding! If your planning an event, highly recommend them. They’re super easy to work with @ very reasonable prices. 👍🏽“

When I first came up here, it was impossible to find a place that even knew what I meant by a cheesesteak or, God forbid, a friggen hoagie. (Delassandro’s is the truth) Couldn’t have been more excited when my husband said he’d seen a cheesesteak store. We have been trying for soooo long to cop a dang samich but y’all close too early for our work schedules lol. THEN TODAY, it worked out and he picked up the cheesesteaks. Honest review: Cheese sauce is LIFE. Perfectly chopped steak mixed together with the toppings on the flat top, no doubt. My man got it with the works or everything style, and there is something spicy in this jawn! I thought it was jalapeño or maybe chili peppers but he doesn’t think that was listed when he ordered it tonight. Quite spicy, but still really enjoyed it. 10/10 if you like a lil spice (8/10 if you can’t handle spice — still fire but just opt for only mushrooms and onions lol) We will be going back. Burger was great - big and delicious and my wife enjoyed her wrap. Bonus points for the King Diamond and Rob Halford photos on the wall. I didn’t get to check out all the prints. Cool spot. ection and reasonably priced. Cocktails are creative and delicious, all different kinds of Martinis by an award winning bartender. There are always specials. The beef stew with prime rib was great. You'd never know from the outside.“

“I've been coming to AJ's for over 20 years. literally every time I have friends from out of town visit me and want to have a drink and some good bar food we go to AJ's. every single one of my out-of-town friends always says this is the best bar food they've ever had in their life. I literally have friends who call me up to come to Meriden just to have food from AJ's. my kids are addicted to the food at AJ's as well . I can honestly say if I ever move out of Connecticut, AJ's is one of the very few restaurants that I would ever truly miss and want to stop by if I come back to Connecticut for a visit. “We love the James Madison House. I just had the best food I have eaten in 2024. Tonight’s Shrimp Scampi over spaghetti squash was the best dinner I have had anywhere in CT. Presentation was 5 star good. The spaghetti squash was actually better than the shrimp. I can’t believe a pub bar can produce such incredible food. And it was gluten free to boot. I had an unbelievable experience there tonight. My wife’s tacos were top shelf as well. Keep it up friends at JMH. Can’t get a better dinner anywhere.“

“We are a group of eight Women golfers that travel each week to play a different course in CT. Get the usual eye rolling looks from the men from parking lot, pro shop to the course and finally the bar. Some men are polite but they are few. Quarry Ridge staff went over the top to make our Tuesday golf experience relaxing and fun. Course was in good shape. Kevin in the pro shop attentive asking questions after our round to see if we had a good time and what were our thoughts about women’s golf. Poor Kevin got a earful I’m afraid. He was such a good sport! The chef came out and checked on our lunch. Talked about his menu. Very enthusiastic. It was a perfect day Tuesday Blue sky, cool temps, Great Golf and being with friends.
