The event manager Brian was incredibly attentive and made sure every detail was taken care of, ensuring our day went smoothly. The food was fantastic and we received rave reviews from our guests. The team went above and beyond by setting up our decorations exactly as we envisioned, making the space look beautiful. They were also very accommodating and willing to work with us in case we needed to move our outdoor ceremony indoors, as well. “Our server was Caitlin! She was awesome! My 2 sons and I went out to dinner and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had anywhere! She was training Richardo and the duo was top notch! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating with our substitutions. They never let us run out of drinks, they kept our table clean and the friendliness and patience She had with my kids ordering for themselves was admirable! “Black point pizza is always my go to when I want an absolutely amazing pizza. for me I have the cooks keep it in the oven a bit longer so it stands up when you pick it up to eat. the sauce is to die for also. if you like your pizza a little more firm just ask and the cooks are happy to make your food exactly as you like. minor the owner is a stand up guy and really did good with this recipe. the salads and his homemade balsamic dressing is the best I've had from anywhere. if you have not come out to black point you are really missing out. “01.26.25- 'Big Al's Reel Reviews' - Little Galapagos Restaurant ❤️ City of New London ❤️ I dropped into The Little Galapagos Restaurant this evening to review a couple of their popular menu items which were Chicken Wings, Thai Chilli Sauce followed by Carne Asada Ecuadorians Style meal that was actually really Dope ❤️ however the Chicken wings were not great at all so they earned a Thumbs 👎🏾 The atmosphere and service was really dope there and I am sure that had I ordered anything else on the menu besides the Wings would have been just as good as the Carne Asada. Chicken was perfectly cooked, not dry, with appropriate proportions of cheese/ham. Service was extraordinarily friendly. Topped it off with a nice Port wine and they had a decent selection available. “Very good. Best Fried Shrimp I’ve ever had! My onion rings soaked up too much oil though, my dad got the curly fries with his meal and those came out very good. Clam chowder was very good too, not the best I’ve ever had, but a very good bowl! I think they have a decent lobster roll, my brother got it and enjoyed it, but it looked like it should have had more lobster for a $35 roll. Prices are out of control over the past few years, but i understand owners have to cover costs. Overall food was good. Very friendly staff and clean picnic tables. Ice cream was great as well. Would stop again next time I’m back in Old Lyme.“

“The food is really good for bar food. The wings, egg rolls and nachos are the best. The service is exceptional. Kaitlyn is amazing. We have been going for quite awhile now and have developed a friendship with her she is absolutely the best. When you go ask for her you won’t be disappointed. She is so friendly.

“Sunday brunch was amazing! So many choices: beef, ham, bacon, sausage, shrimp, cod, salmon. Tables full of baked goods, salads, sides, an omelet station, loaded dessert table...just more than I can name. Lovely setting, beautiful views. Clean, quiet, well decorated. Would highly recommend for a special birthday or anniversary.“

“We stopped in for a late breakfast at Bobby’s Burger Palace, owned by Bobby Flay, at the Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino. It was very good. At first sight my burrito didn’t look like much laying dry on the plate, but when I opened it up I could see it was full of nice ingredients. It tasted great! And my hubs got the steel cut part and loved them. They had a little sweetness to them and just the right amount of cinnamon, cranberry and yogurt. I tasted it and really like it too. We would definitely go back here again. I also love Illy coffee so bonus! :)“
