“We visited Mario’s for the first time on Friday Feb 27th after seeing a Facebook ad for their fish and chips dinner. We were beyond surprised and very pleased with the entire experience. The fish and chips was the best we have had, the waitress was very attentive and friendly. Although the place is small it was super busy with lots of take out orders but that didn’t affect the dining room orders coming out in a timely fashion. We most definitely will be visiting again real soon to see what other delicious choices they have on their menu. Great job Mario see you again soon.“

“We stopped into Cooley’s Kitchen while visiting family in Connecticut, and somehow it already feels like part of “home” for us. 🧡🐾 Jen helped us find a table near the back during dinner rush, which ended up being perfect. Low traffic, quieter, and right by a beautiful sunset. As disabled guests with a power chair, sensory overload can happen fast for us, especially in busy restaurants. Whether intentional or not, both Jen and Aaron seemed incredibly aware of the environment around us. Several times when the sun started shining directly into our eyes, one of them would naturally step into the light while checking on us so we could keep enjoying our cheeseburger grinder without getting overwhelmed. Small thing maybe, but it mattered a lot to us. What stood out most was how human everything felt. Not forced “customer service.” Real care. Jen sat and talked with patrons and you could immediately tell this is a place locals genuinely love. Friends, families, regulars. Everyone seemed comfortable there. They checked in with us based on timing and body language, not because some policy told them to stop by every few minutes. Even the thumbs up from across the room felt personal and warm. We had a chance to talk a little about the restaurant too. Hearing that this was Aaron’s dream and that they’ve been building it together for the last two years honestly made the experience even better. You can feel the passion behind the place. Aaron being a chef and Jen helping build the community side of it makes the whole restaurant feel alive in a way chain restaurants never do. Every time we come to Connecticut, we stop here…usually more than once. Truthfully, places like this are part of why we’ve started looking at Ellington as somewhere we could someday call home, even all the way from Iowa. Good food matters. But being seen as human matters more. Cooley’s Kitchen gave us both. 🧡🐾“

“I have eaten in, done take out and delivery from this location.
The last few times I was disappointed, the pizza was just okay and no consistency. That would be okay at a different place but not at Frank Pepes wherw the pizza is almost $40. That was probably a year or so ago.
We decided to try it again last night and I did take out.
The entire experience was great. I ordered online and it was seamless. The staff was nice and everything was good.
The pizza was phenomenal. They definitely stepped up their game and I am looking forward to my next order.“

We called and they IMMEDIATELY rectified it by not making us come out there, but offering and delivering the correct order. We LOVE Buckland Grill and Pizza!!“

“What a treat this meal was! This was the perfect spot to eat Italian food as my son was running a marathon the next day. There were 3 of us and we all ordered something different. My son's pasta was tasty, the salad I had was amazing, and my husband's chicken sandwich was one of the best ones we've had. And the warm, fresh bread was an added bonus. Liz was super friendly and attentive and took very good care of us! Would absolutely eat here again. 5 stars for sure!!“

“We are from Rhode Island and were in the area to visit Six Flags. Found Marks Restaurant using Google maps for breakfast near me. The food was excellent. The homemade bread was even better. Probably not a common comment, but my view of the kitchen from the register it’s a very clean and neat setup. I’ve worked in foodservice delivery and have always viewed restaurants from back of house which influenced my decision to eat there. I recommend Marks and will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“They're really consistent in their pizzas and it's a nice cozy interior dining area. They're pretty quick about getting the order ready - we don't usually have much of a wait at pickup but we also eat dinner on the early side. The one time we ate in we were the only ones there and it felt like we had to wait a bit to order and wrap up but it also seemed like a shift change.
Parking and access to the lot can be awkward with the light placement but it's usually not too bad.“

“My husband and I have dinner at Lulu's at least twice a week. They have the best drinks, food and staff. The French onion soup is the best in the area (in my opinion.) The wait staff is so friendly and always makes us feel like we're having dinner at a friend's house. We almost always run into old friends there and never feel rushed. We loved the laid back vibe of the place, and enjoyed the view of the golf course while we all conversed. “On Saturday, August 16, 2025, my husband and I had the pleasure of eating a late lunch/early dinner at this wonderful restaurant. The service was pleasant and prompt, the decor was beautiful, and the food was delicious! Before our entrees, we split the potato skins appetizer. I really liked the crispy skin. (I don't usually eat all of the skin of potato skins, preferring the filling instead, but I ate all of mine from Zanto's!) The Shrimp Scampi Provençal was one of the best versions of shrimp scampi that I've ever had. My husband raved about his dish of Scallops Massimo. I don't know if we'll ever be in that area of CT again, but if we are, we'll go out of our way to eat at Zanto's. 5/5“

Was brought here to enjoy Grinders, as it's not common or a known thing in the south.

Food was amazing. Bread was crisp and warm.

I’ve since moved out of state a decade ago, but anytime I visit, I order takeout! Last time did not disappoint, just as good as it’s always been.
