“We stopped into Cooley’s Kitchen while visiting family in Connecticut, and somehow it already feels like part of “home” for us. 🧡🐾 Jen helped us find a table near the back during dinner rush, which ended up being perfect. Low traffic, quieter, and right by a beautiful sunset. As disabled guests with a power chair, sensory overload can happen fast for us, especially in busy restaurants. Whether intentional or not, both Jen and Aaron seemed incredibly aware of the environment around us. Several times when the sun started shining directly into our eyes, one of them would naturally step into the light while checking on us so we could keep enjoying our cheeseburger grinder without getting overwhelmed. Small thing maybe, but it mattered a lot to us. What stood out most was how human everything felt. Not forced “customer service.” Real care. Jen sat and talked with patrons and you could immediately tell this is a place locals genuinely love. Friends, families, regulars. Everyone seemed comfortable there. They checked in with us based on timing and body language, not because some policy told them to stop by every few minutes. Even the thumbs up from across the room felt personal and warm. We had a chance to talk a little about the restaurant too. Hearing that this was Aaron’s dream and that they’ve been building it together for the last two years honestly made the experience even better. You can feel the passion behind the place. Aaron being a chef and Jen helping build the community side of it makes the whole restaurant feel alive in a way chain restaurants never do. Every time we come to Connecticut, we stop here…usually more than once. Truthfully, places like this are part of why we’ve started looking at Ellington as somewhere we could someday call home, even all the way from Iowa. Good food matters. But being seen as human matters more. Cooley’s Kitchen gave us both. 🧡🐾“

“We visited Mario’s for the first time on Friday Feb 27th after seeing a Facebook ad for their fish and chips dinner. We were beyond surprised and very pleased with the entire experience. The fish and chips was the best we have had, the waitress was very attentive and friendly. Although the place is small it was super busy with lots of take out orders but that didn’t affect the dining room orders coming out in a timely fashion. We most definitely will be visiting again real soon to see what other delicious choices they have on their menu. Great job Mario see you again soon.“

“Our family of three came in on Thursday night, June 4th from Boston. We never had F&P pizza and our wonderful waitress assisted us with order g the 5 pizza special so we can try a lot of flavors. She really made our 2 hour drive worthwhile as we continue our vacation south. The pizzas were fantastic and my daughter was t sure if she wanted the crust on one of the pizza charred to the original standards, so she brought it out mid-cook for a visual check. Now that’s what I call customer service. Thanks for making it special for us. Remember, the food is good, but it’s the customer service makes it an experience!“

“My husband and I have been coming every Thursday to play bingo, and it’s become a bit of a tradition for us. Over time, friends and family have started joining too. The regulars have really formed their own little bingo community, with plenty of teasing and jokes throughout the night. Honestly, if it weren’t for bingo, we probably wouldn’t have even known this place had finally opened!

“We are regulars here, and tonight was another example of why we will continue to frequent this business. We received the wrong order by accident when we picked it up. We called and they IMMEDIATELY rectified it by not making us come out there, but offering and delivering the correct order. We LOVE Buckland Grill and Pizza!!“

Ordered a mini pizza, which at 10" was more than enough for 1. Fresh chicken, bacon and tomatoes, delicious tomato base, overall a very good pizza. I sat at one of the 3 barstools to eat a bit before I headed out, great spot to watch cars/people. Nice little place. Friendly staff.“

“I kept getting moon card on not perfect and it really hurt my feelings until kolossos came and as the kind soul he is he used his spikey arm to transport me to his pizzeria to make me feel better and it did! Had to take a point off of food cuz it kinda tasted like a rabbit that heals and also took a point off service cuz one of the employees named Trih Pwiereh kept putting mines every where and i had to walk around all of them. The decoration was very good with orange fur all over the place almost like Miles'! though i havent seen him in a while... Anyways i give this place a total rating of 4.5 stars and would come again!“

“I’ve been here countless times and the food is consistently very good. The servers are always friendly too. Tonight I sat at the bar after a class and ordered grinders for takeout. Absolutely THE best grinders we’ve had in forever. My veggie and cheese grinder was LOADED with veggies! My husband’s grinder had so much nest he could have created 2 more grinders. “We are from Rhode Island and were in the area to visit Six Flags. Found Marks Restaurant using Google maps for breakfast near me. The food was excellent. The homemade bread was even better. Probably not a common comment, but my view of the kitchen from the register it’s a very clean and neat setup. I’ve worked in foodservice delivery and have always viewed restaurants from back of house which influenced my decision to eat there. I recommend Marks and will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“We had been looking for a place for lunch or dinner that was local and not a chain. Been driving by it for years and finally checked it out. The decor is a little dated so if classier atmosphere is what you're looking for go elsewhere. If you want well prepared italien food, larger portions, reasonable prices, friendly, efficient waitstaff and in a warm, family familiar setting....you have arrived!“

“You might not be able to sit down and eat here like most places, but the food is pretty darn good. First time customers and I am beyond impressed. Staff was kind and friendly. I ordered a meatball sub and it was great! It actually had meatballs and not the smooshed up patte cat food stuff. It had a garlic twang to it and it was still fricken awesome. I'm a VERY picky eater and I'm also not one for garlic. I'm not sure how the food is made, if it was the sauce or the meatballs but i will tell you it was delicious nonetheless. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! And for better or worse, they don't salt the French fries either. Even the few flavors of ice cream they had was good (I got the vanilla bean).💕😋 Definitely going back there again.“

“Its more of a take out place but has seating. Best food. Best Pizza Salads and subs. Expensive but quality is kept and you'll never get a fresher Salad or tastier pie anywhere around here. Pretty much everything is presented proprer and the taste is exquisite. You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in his food and his presentation. I Highly recommend. Never a burt piece, uniformity and quality ingredients. I wish they had extended hours but in order for that to happen you have to give them a reason to stay open later. You try it once and you're hooked. Below is a picture of an empty can. I shoukd have taking it 20 -30 minutes before I devoured their grilled chicken salad. Scrumptious with 2 blue cheese dressings. I got a spare cup for the fridge. Go run and get your taste buds ready for some fire Italian pizza shop cuisine. Best in South Windsor. And I love South Windsor Pizza too. “It's pricey but well worth it. You get tons of food for your order and everything is that home cooked goodness that you've always wanted with the convenience of not having to cook it.

Staff are excellent and takeout is incredibly easy. Only downside is their so popular that trying to get a call in can take a while because the line is almost always busy at peak hours.“

“My husband and I have dinner at Lulu's at least twice a week. They have the best drinks, food and staff. The French onion soup is the best in the area (in my opinion.) The wait staff is so friendly and always makes us feel like we're having dinner at a friend's house. We almost always run into old friends there and never feel rushed.
