“We visited Mario’s for the first time on Friday Feb 27th after seeing a Facebook ad for their fish and chips dinner. We were beyond surprised and very pleased with the entire experience. The fish and chips was the best we have had, the waitress was very attentive and friendly. Although the place is small it was super busy with lots of take out orders but that didn’t affect the dining room orders coming out in a timely fashion. We most definitely will be visiting again real soon to see what other delicious choices they have on their menu. Great job Mario see you again soon.“

“We stopped into Cooley’s Kitchen while visiting family in Connecticut, and somehow it already feels like part of “home” for us. 🧡🐾 Jen helped us find a table near the back during dinner rush, which ended up being perfect. Low traffic, quieter, and right by a beautiful sunset. As disabled guests with a power chair, sensory overload can happen fast for us, especially in busy restaurants. Whether intentional or not, both Jen and Aaron seemed incredibly aware of the environment around us. Several times when the sun started shining directly into our eyes, one of them would naturally step into the light while checking on us so we could keep enjoying our cheeseburger grinder without getting overwhelmed. Small thing maybe, but it mattered a lot to us. What stood out most was how human everything felt. Not forced “customer service.” Real care. Jen sat and talked with patrons and you could immediately tell this is a place locals genuinely love. Friends, families, regulars. Everyone seemed comfortable there. They checked in with us based on timing and body language, not because some policy told them to stop by every few minutes. Even the thumbs up from across the room felt personal and warm. We had a chance to talk a little about the restaurant too. Hearing that this was Aaron’s dream and that they’ve been building it together for the last two years honestly made the experience even better. You can feel the passion behind the place. Aaron being a chef and Jen helping build the community side of it makes the whole restaurant feel alive in a way chain restaurants never do. Every time we come to Connecticut, we stop here…usually more than once. Truthfully, places like this are part of why we’ve started looking at Ellington as somewhere we could someday call home, even all the way from Iowa. Good food matters. But being seen as human matters more. Cooley’s Kitchen gave us both. 🧡🐾“

“Pizza Junction in Agawam is hands down one of the best local pizza spots around. The pizza is always fresh, hot, and loaded with flavor — you can tell they don’t skimp on quality or toppings. The crust is perfectly cooked, the sauce is delicious, and everything tastes homemade. “I kept getting moon card on not perfect and it really hurt my feelings until kolossos came and as the kind soul he is he used his spikey arm to transport me to his pizzeria to make me feel better and it did! Had to take a point off of food cuz it kinda tasted like a rabbit that heals and also took a point off service cuz one of the employees named Trih Pwiereh kept putting mines every where and i had to walk around all of them. The decoration was very good with orange fur all over the place almost like Miles'! though i havent seen him in a while... Their pizza looks nice, so not sure why they don't photograph it. Tasty food, pizza not greasy, it's kind of old-school American Italian style. More of a takeout spot since seating is limited. Visiting from out of town and I would definitely order again.“

“First time visiting. Love the atmosphere & decor. We were seated right away for a Friday night dinner with no reservation. Service was great. Meals were fantastic! We had Chicken Parmesan and Gorganzola on Main. The portions were so large that I had two more meals of the chicken gorganzola to bring home (not a complaint). Definitely worth it! My only negative comment is that there was supposed to be spinach in that dish and if it was there, it was cut too small to find. We will go back!“

“Its more of a take out place but has seating. Best food. Best Pizza Salads and subs. Expensive but quality is kept and you'll never get a fresher Salad or tastier pie anywhere around here. Pretty much everything is presented proprer and the taste is exquisite. You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in his food and his presentation. I Highly recommend. Never a burt piece, uniformity and quality ingredients. I wish they had extended hours but in order for that to happen you have to give them a reason to stay open later. You try it once and you're hooked. Below is a picture of an empty can. I shoukd have taking it 20 -30 minutes before I devoured their grilled chicken salad. Scrumptious with 2 blue cheese dressings. I got a spare cup for the fridge. Go run and get your taste buds ready for some fire Italian pizza shop cuisine. Best in South Windsor. And I love South Windsor Pizza too. “My husband and I have dinner at Lulu's at least twice a week. They have the best drinks, food and staff. The French onion soup is the best in the area (in my opinion.) The wait staff is so friendly and always makes us feel like we're having dinner at a friend's house. We almost always run into old friends there and never feel rushed.
