“We stopped into Cooley’s Kitchen while visiting family in Connecticut, and somehow it already feels like part of “home” for us. 🧡🐾 Jen helped us find a table near the back during dinner rush, which ended up being perfect. Low traffic, quieter, and right by a beautiful sunset. As disabled guests with a power chair, sensory overload can happen fast for us, especially in busy restaurants. Whether intentional or not, both Jen and Aaron seemed incredibly aware of the environment around us. Several times when the sun started shining directly into our eyes, one of them would naturally step into the light while checking on us so we could keep enjoying our cheeseburger grinder without getting overwhelmed. Small thing maybe, but it mattered a lot to us. What stood out most was how human everything felt. Not forced “customer service.” Real care. Jen sat and talked with patrons and you could immediately tell this is a place locals genuinely love. Friends, families, regulars. Everyone seemed comfortable there. They checked in with us based on timing and body language, not because some policy told them to stop by every few minutes. Even the thumbs up from across the room felt personal and warm. We had a chance to talk a little about the restaurant too. Hearing that this was Aaron’s dream and that they’ve been building it together for the last two years honestly made the experience even better. You can feel the passion behind the place. Aaron being a chef and Jen helping build the community side of it makes the whole restaurant feel alive in a way chain restaurants never do. Every time we come to Connecticut, we stop here…usually more than once. Truthfully, places like this are part of why we’ve started looking at Ellington as somewhere we could someday call home, even all the way from Iowa. Good food matters. But being seen as human matters more. Cooley’s Kitchen gave us both. 🧡🐾“

“My experience here was amazing. The resturanut was really clean. There are booths and tables to sit. I decided to try thete all you can eat. It was only $29.99. Plus it comes with drinks such as the brown sugar tea. I had mine with rainbow boba. Everything we ordered was hot and fresh. We got crab ragoons and they were fresh out of the kitchen. I had my favorite sesame balls with bean paste. These melt in your mouth and they are both sweet and bitter at the same time. The sushi was super delicious. I would definitely come back to this establishment. And if you are in the area you should give this place a try.“

Hot and sour soup is always excellent.The menu prices have gone up a little (about 50¢ more per entree type item) and the hours a different now too. They are only open on Tuesdays in December. Otherwise they are closed on Tuesday.Good Chinese, very friendly, very fast. The prices are reasonable and you get a good amount of food. I find it better than the other Chinese restaurant Hang's in Stafford.Be aware that there is no indoor seating. There's some picnic tables in the grass but appears to be mostly take out.“

“Cozy Thai restaurant to indulge in some delicious Asian food. Food were delicious and service was excellent. Portion can be shared with two. We ordered the drunken noodles ( Fantastic ) shrimp and crab fried rice ( mind blowing) orange chicken which was served with steamed rice ( nice and sweet ). “I’ve been here countless times and the food is consistently very good. The servers are always friendly too. Tonight I sat at the bar after a class and ordered grinders for takeout. Absolutely THE best grinders we’ve had in forever. My veggie and cheese grinder was LOADED with veggies! My husband’s grinder had so much nest he could have created 2 more grinders. “We are from Rhode Island and were in the area to visit Six Flags. Found Marks Restaurant using Google maps for breakfast near me. The food was excellent. The homemade bread was even better. Probably not a common comment, but my view of the kitchen from the register it’s a very clean and neat setup. I’ve worked in foodservice delivery and have always viewed restaurants from back of house which influenced my decision to eat there. I recommend Marks and will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Hands down the best Indian buffet that I've ever had in the US. Thursday is their Dosa night where they have a live Dosa station along with South Indian staples served in buffet style. On the weekends they have buffet lunch ranging from Goat Dum biriyani to Haryali green chili chicken to their famous Tawa fish (amazing appetizer). If you're around Hartford or a student at UConn do yourself a favor and visit this place for their buffets. The restaurant is clean, they serve alcohol , service is excellent and the food is honestly to die for! I cannot recommend this place enough 👌🏼💯“

“The last few weeksI have ordered fish and chips and 4 large pieces and nicely cooked french fries. 6/17/2026 I ordered the same got 3 pieces the fishwas so dry and cooked too long you couldn't eat around the edges too hard, th french fries were over cooked to some were burnt. this was a take out. this has happened a couple times. then no salad or bread in the order. so we didn't get the whole order. I love there food but and people so we are going to try one more time.“

“Our family of three came in on Thursday night, June 4th from Boston. We never had F&P pizza and our wonderful waitress assisted us with order g the 5 pizza special so we can try a lot of flavors. She really made our 2 hour drive worthwhile as we continue our vacation south. The pizzas were fantastic and my daughter was t sure if she wanted the crust on one of the pizza charred to the original standards, so she brought it out mid-cook for a visual check. Now that’s what I call customer service. Thanks for making it special for us. Remember, the food is good, but it’s the customer service makes it an experience!“

“Went here for lunch with my sister! I couldn’t believe how packed they were on a Monday! No wonder- the food and drink were ON POINT! Our waiter was very attentive and informative on wine. We shared the spinach and artichoke dip- delicious! I had the harvest vegetable bowl and added steak. The flavors mixed so well creating a palette of fresh, and my steak was cooked perfectly! My sister got the burger and a Cesar salad. The dressing was really fresh and lemony! The burger was delish as well! I will definitely be back! All the food I watched going by looked like 10 stars!“

“You might not be able to sit down and eat here like most places, but the food is pretty darn good. First time customers and I am beyond impressed. Staff was kind and friendly. I ordered a meatball sub and it was great! It actually had meatballs and not the smooshed up patte cat food stuff. It had a garlic twang to it and it was still fricken awesome. I'm a VERY picky eater and I'm also not one for garlic. I'm not sure how the food is made, if it was the sauce or the meatballs but i will tell you it was delicious nonetheless. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! And for better or worse, they don't salt the French fries either. Even the few flavors of ice cream they had was good (I got the vanilla bean).💕😋 Definitely going back there again.“

“This places food wasn't the best place for soul food which I was truly shocked after reading all the great reviews but still food for a lunchtime meal, just not a place I would write home about. The food is good just not the best I have had. My major complaint was and this will be a shocker but needs more seasoning lol. It kind of seemed a bit bland to me.

“My husband George and I frequently go to our "neighborhood" SPOT in Tolland since it opened. It really feels like a home away from home where you can watch a game, collaborate with colleagues over dinner, have a birthday party or little league celebration. It is a place to go for all members of the family for any occasion. The main menu is thoughtful, and we look forward to the weekly specials which are delicious. Prime rib Thursdays is a favorite as well. They have specials on cocktails and mocktails with special touches like cranberries in the ice, or the chocolate drizzle in the Andes martini with whipped creme and Andes mint crumbles. We have not found anything that was not delicious and in appetizing and filling portions. They have adult homemade ice cream to crave! It has a slightly different ambiance in each corner, the sofa lounge area, the seated family dining area, the sports zone covered in big screen tv's and the bar area where you are treated like family and they remember what you like as soon as you sit down. I love their themed special events that pair delicious and unique appetizers, with bourbon, wine, whiskey while sommeliers and chefs discuss the flavor combinations introducing us to tastes that tantalize your whole palate while sharing the history or culture of what you are enjoying. In addition, they have trivia nights, karaoke, an annual car show in the fall, and other seasonal events. In moderate to mild weather, the outdoor covered area is great for listening to local bands and bringing people together. in a comfortable setting. The costs are comparable to other good restaurants, and well worth the experience. If there is any problem with your order (which can happen everywhere), they quickly remedy it. We appreciate the warm welcome every time we come in from the owner and his staff.“

“My husband and I tried 3 different Chinese food places in Manchester, 1 in Vernon, and 1 in South Windsor. Our standards are based on China Garden in Hartford that is absolutely peak.
This place was the absolute best compared to the other 4 places by far. We got gen tso chicken, fried rice, eggroll, and crab rangoons. The rice actually had veggies like peas and carrots, was flavorful and looked exactly like fried rice should. The chicken was surprisingly actually spicy, meat was tender, and sauce was tasty.
The crab rangoon filling was so tasty and the outside was crispy and light, like the little crispy things you get to put into soup.
My only complaint was that the eggroll wasnt very flavorful but duck sauce fixes that quick. (I was gonna eat it with duck sauce anyway).
This is my new Chinese food place for sure. 💙“

I have never been disappointed, the coffee is the best in the world, (and I've traveled the world) and the whiskey bars are to die for. I always buy them up whenever I'm lucky enough to get them. The staff is always incredibly polite and helpful and always makes me feel welcome. Everything from the employees to the pastries to the environment as a whole is one of a kind. I have sent many friends and clients to Taste by Spellbound over the years and everyone that I sent there has high praise. I love this place and look forward to visiting every week.
