“Today was my first time back to Gio’s restaurant since I moved to Connecticut about 11 years ago. My friend and I used to bike here from our childhood homes and get their delicious gourmet grinders. The quality since then has NOT changed. My Red Dragon grinder was fresh and delicious. Just how I remembered it a decade ago. I am happy to confirm that in ten years the quality has not gone down and Gio was upfront with his kind interactions with all customers. The business has only grown and Gio deserves all the success! “We went for breakfast, the two women up front were so sweet. The lady turned on the witch for my baby to see, and even came out in the pouring rain to give her candy on our way out. They were closing early, but they were amazing to us even 30 minutes to closing when we came in. ( I didn’t realize they were closing early for the holiday.) The price and the service is far beyond 5 stars! Highly recommended stopping for a bite to eat. The food was just as amazing as the people working!“

“We ordered 2 large grinders. One steak and cheese and the other was tuna.
They are the biggest and best grinders and very fresh.
Take out today and I'm sure we will have plenty for 2 more full meals.

I own that it was my fault . They had erased the prices off the board maybe because Saturday night. Prices on the drinks menu were not accurate . We ordered a capacino I expected a small cup as it was priced at $2 on the menu. Was a delicious drink in a glass but was $6. Was told that was old prices but on all the menus. I was charged 6 and was told they could not credit me as the owner was not there. The drink was probably worth 6 but the menu should be correct. My fish was very good. Salad mediocre mainly just lettuce and blue cheese dressing was very bitter. We will probably give it another try. Staff very good. I will ask the prices next time.“

“Went with my daughter and we got to plates and two sodas. Paid over $50 for food that was ok but not great. The service was fast but its really more of a take out place. We dined in and it felt like we were eating in their back pantry. The table was so wobbly we decided to make a game of it to see who could eat without spilling. Would not go back again.“

Hot and sour soup is always excellent.The menu prices have gone up a little (about 50¢ more per entree type item) and the hours a different now too. They are only open on Tuesdays in December. Otherwise they are closed on Tuesday.Good Chinese, very friendly, very fast. The prices are reasonable and you get a good amount of food. I find it better than the other Chinese restaurant Hang's in Stafford.Be aware that there is no indoor seating. There's some picnic tables in the grass but appears to be mostly take out.“
