“Today was my first time back to Gio’s restaurant since I moved to Connecticut about 11 years ago. My friend and I used to bike here from our childhood homes and get their delicious gourmet grinders. The quality since then has NOT changed. My Red Dragon grinder was fresh and delicious. Just how I remembered it a decade ago. I am happy to confirm that in ten years the quality has not gone down and Gio was upfront with his kind interactions with all customers. The business has only grown and Gio deserves all the success! “The last few weeksI have ordered fish and chips and 4 large pieces and nicely cooked french fries. 6/17/2026 I ordered the same got 3 pieces the fishwas so dry and cooked too long you couldn't eat around the edges too hard, th french fries were over cooked to some were burnt. this was a take out. this has happened a couple times. then no salad or bread in the order. so we didn't get the whole order. I love there food but and people so we are going to try one more time.“

“We went for breakfast, the two women up front were so sweet. The lady turned on the witch for my baby to see, and even came out in the pouring rain to give her candy on our way out. They were closing early, but they were amazing to us even 30 minutes to closing when we came in. ( I didn’t realize they were closing early for the holiday.) The price and the service is far beyond 5 stars! Highly recommended stopping for a bite to eat. The food was just as amazing as the people working!“

“I kept getting moon card on not perfect and it really hurt my feelings until kolossos came and as the kind soul he is he used his spikey arm to transport me to his pizzeria to make me feel better and it did! Had to take a point off of food cuz it kinda tasted like a rabbit that heals and also took a point off service cuz one of the employees named Trih Pwiereh kept putting mines every where and i had to walk around all of them. The decoration was very good with orange fur all over the place almost like Miles'! though i havent seen him in a while... Anyways i give this place a total rating of 4.5 stars and would come again!“

“We came in for Father’s Day and had Amber as our waitress. She was pleasant, attentive, and professional. She took care of everything you are supposed to and made it look easy. The restaurant was busy so food came out a little slower than they probably do on a typical night. I had a boozy Peanut butter milkshake and it was fantastic. It really set the tone. Everyone at the table had burgers and loved them. I had blacked chicken tacos with rice. Tacos were really good but the rice was an afterthought. Very dry. The manager came around and gave the dads at the table a coupon for a free 25.00 entree at any of their restaurants. Very generous and we will certainly use it. A near perfect experience. Oh, and we were greeted when we entered and thanked on the way out. A huge plus with me.“

“Food was good. Fries were not hot but so much else we did not eat them anyway. I did not read the online menu properly the prices were for take out only I did not see that below the listing. I own that it was my fault . They had erased the prices off the board maybe because Saturday night. Prices on the drinks menu were not accurate . We ordered a capacino I expected a small cup as it was priced at $2 on the menu. Was a delicious drink in a glass but was $6. Was told that was old prices but on all the menus. I was charged 6 and was told they could not credit me as the owner was not there. The drink was probably worth 6 but the menu should be correct. My fish was very good. Salad mediocre mainly just lettuce and blue cheese dressing was very bitter. We will probably give it another try. Staff very good. I will ask the prices next time.“

We dined in and it felt like we were eating in their back pantry. The table was so wobbly we decided to make a game of it to see who could eat without spilling. Would not go back again.“

“This place is a rare gem I’ve had grinders all over the northeast and grinders in our area are generally mediocre. I feel like everybody’s taking their ropes from subway this place we went in there. They treated us right they have something that nobody seems to carry anymore. They had hot sausage grinders, and I can tell you three of us went there three of us got the hot sausage grinders, and every one of us so impressed the food was fantastic hard to find hot sausage and not only did they make it but they made it the best you get my five stars. I will definitely be going back.“
