“We rented out the parlor car for a dinner following our wedding ceremony. I worked with Linea who was AMAZING and so so sweet! She answered all my questions and was easy to communicate with. “A great little place for breakfast or lunch! They are open until 1 every day except Sunday when they close at 12:30. The service is great! My order was out quickly considering how busy the restaurant was. There aren't a lot of tables, but there always seems to be one available when you go in. Staff is always welcoming and kind, and will help you craft your bowl (either from their pre-set menu, or with the make your own bowl option). I am often shocked by how high quality their salmon is, and I absolutely recommend getting salmon and/or tuna in your bowl depending on your desire.My bowl usually consists of some deviation of:White rice, tuna, salmon, pineapple, seaweed salad, masago, tamago (Japanese egg), green onion, sweet onion, unagi sauce (sweet eel sauce), shoyu sauce, garlic topping, and tempura topping. They have a plethora of options, and you can build your bowl however you'd like!Their East Longmeadow location has great serving portions, especially compared to comparable poke establishments in the area (which can be up to 2x smaller for the same price).Establishment has consistently been clean and well-kept, and the location is newly built/renovated, so the atmosphere is lovely. Spacious area to dine-in for, though the take-out option (and delivery option) is also appropriate here (the quality here will not decrease if you take it to-go).Take note of their new bubble tea options, which they recently began offering at the East Longmeadow location. The spare ribs are meaty and not just fatty pieces. Crab Rangoon are decent. Egg rolls could use more filling. I'm glad I gave it a try. That wonton soup...So good. I'd drive to Ludlow for it.“

“Wow!!!! This pizza place just raised the bar for everyone! Hoooooooly! If you are debating on going here- go! They have 10 pizza crusts to choose from. We ordered 2 - the grandma & New Haven…. Fell in love with both. The grandma is something you’re going to want to try. We got the Primo and were obsessed with the sauce and all the toppings. The New Haven (which was rated by Barstool) was great! We went with straight cheese. We loved these pizzas so much we left with a New York style pepperoni pizza which is just as awesome. The hostess was so informative and helpful and made sure to answer any/all questions! The owner came out and shared his sorry with us. We travelled 1 hour and it did NOT disappoint… we will be back! “Food was good. Fries were not hot but so much else we did not eat them anyway. I did not read the online menu properly the prices were for take out only I did not see that below the listing. I own that it was my fault . They had erased the prices off the board maybe because Saturday night. Prices on the drinks menu were not accurate . We ordered a capacino I expected a small cup as it was priced at $2 on the menu. Was a delicious drink in a glass but was $6. Was told that was old prices but on all the menus. I was charged 6 and was told they could not credit me as the owner was not there. The drink was probably worth 6 but the menu should be correct. My fish was very good. Salad mediocre mainly just lettuce and blue cheese dressing was very bitter. We will probably give it another try. Staff very good. I will ask the prices next time.“

“We ate at De Nardo's on a Saturday evening. I had spaghetti with meatballs and my wife had the grilled chicken salad. Both were very generously portioned. We could not eat It all ( I think that my portion was the equivalent of a full box of spaghetti, and a large basket of bread accompanied our meals). Our service was good; our waitress was friendly. There are photographs on the walls and this place has a family vibe. They serve good basic food that is well prepared, it was not busy, we could take our time to eat, and it "hit the spot" on a cold night. This restaurant is a nice choice for evenings when you want to eat a leisurely "comfort food" type Italian dinner. We look forward to returning.“

“Love this place ! The original Mario’s in the 80’s snd 90’s on State St in Springfield was one of our favorites ever and was so excited to see it reincarnated in East Longmeadow a few years back. It’s taken time to get it right but the food, friendly service and ambience is perfect. It’s full of regulars at the bar , which we love because it’s friendly , you can hear yourself talk , great live music 3 nights a week, Keno, just a fun time. We've gotten plenty of pizzas from there in our 4 months since moving here, but this was our first time eating there and it was jammed!!! That tells me that the food is good, with so many people willing to wait for a table.We chose to sit at the bar for our meal because I was starving ? and I'm so glad we did! I got to witness the level of professionalism with the staff in dealing with the constant stream of customers waiting for a table, the constant stream of customers picking up their take out orders and the constant ringing of the phone for customers placing orders.Every person that I saw working there always had a smile on their face, were kind and helpful to everyone, engaged in easy conversation and made every person there feel as if they were the most important person there. I overheard one worker say that she had been there since 9:30am (nearing a 10 hour shift at that point). She chatted easily with customers, joked with them about their orders and, I kid you not when I say she answered the phone with a smile on her face every single time!I'm gushing here because I was just so impressed with the staff there. The staff is friendly and double checks for order correctness and specifics. When I call for take out they ask me if I would like my usual hot sauce. (Who would know that?) My order this evening was delivered and was not my order. They called me immediately and were back at my home in less than 10 minutes, all apologies. She proceeded to post about it on Facebook and several friends stated they were going to give Root 20 a bad review online. I have no problem with someone sharing their experience, but it’s not fair if people who have never visited write bogus reviews without having, a first-hand knowledge of the restaurant. It’s great to look online and be able to see what others have thought of a restaurant but, sadly, as with all things Internet related, there are some false reviews. I frequently visit route 20 and love the food and the staff. The owners are incredibly generous to , the community both in Wilbraham and Springfield. I am a public school teacher and route 20 has been very generous to my school and others.“

“Off the top here, I had written a four star review for this location in Breckwood Plaza in Springfield from years ago. However I noticed recently that review was somehow transferred to the Joy Bowl in East Longmeadow, a relatively new location which definitely wasn't open when I made my review, so that review has been deleted. So now I have a new review for this location.My wife and I typically do take-out, each of us getting a build-your-own poké bowl (usually the three protein option) and the steamed vegetable gyoza. We used to get the regular (meat) gyoza and honestly either option is very good. Their dipping sauce does a lot of the heavy lifting as it is very flavorful.The build-your-own poké bowls can be made with a variety of bases (including white/brown rice, lettuce/mixed greens or seaweed salad, or "noodles" (which is effectively linguine)), proteins, fruit and vegetable add-ins, sauces, and a few toppings. This variety gives you the opportunity to try a lot of different things on ensuing visits until you eventually find a mixture that works for you. Once again the sauces typically do a lot of the work as the proteins are generally unseasoned and vegetables are uncooked, but for me it's about finding a good mix of textures and not overwhelming yourself with sweetness (which can happen with the mango or pineapple or the unagi (eel) sauce).I have visited this Joy Bowl enough times to say my review would be five stars if not for one thing: inconsistent bowl filling. My wife and I have recently gone whole food plant-based with a carbohydrate limitation, so rather then getting rice for the base we have been opting for the lettuce/mixed greens salad. Lately this has meant that the quantity of filling has not been as satisfactory, an issue which seems to depend on who is filling the bowl. Salad can be smushed down moreso than rice but, more often than not in recent weeks, whoever has been filling the bowl hasn't made an effort to compensate for this, and we have been left wanting more food. If you are getting rice or noodles for a base, this inconsistency probably won't be an issue for you. For me, for the price being paid, and at a time when there's not a lot of money to spend on eating out, this dissatisfaction has lead to us opting not to go to Joy Bowl.In summation, Joy Bowl's food is quite tasty and satisfying...when there's a reasonable effort made by the person building the bowl.(It also wouldn't hurt to find a way to keep the entrance door from slamming shut, but I suppose that's a bigger issue for the people dining in and the people who work there!)“

Hot and sour soup is always excellent.The menu prices have gone up a little (about 50¢ more per entree type item) and the hours a different now too. They are only open on Tuesdays in December. Otherwise they are closed on Tuesday.Good Chinese, very friendly, very fast. The prices are reasonable and you get a good amount of food. I find it better than the other Chinese restaurant Hang's in Stafford.Be aware that there is no indoor seating. There's some picnic tables in the grass but appears to be mostly take out.“
