“I am ashamed to say that for years before I discovered this place, I had been eating at the Half Deli. For the longest time, I felt like my dining experience was only 50% of what it could be. Then Wholey Moly, everything changed when I set foot in this fine establishment! This place has the vibes of a nice Whole in the wall restaurant, with some of the nicest people I've ever met in the 29 years I've been on this earth. Sure, anybody can make a sandwich with salami, provolone cheese, and hold the tomatoes. But these people make them with a Whole lot of love. Can't wait to go back there ASAP... I want these guys to cater my wedding and funeral some day.“

“I went for lunch rush on a Thursday and was nervous when I saw the line of 10-15 people. But they serviced everyone pretty quickly and it only took 10 minutes to get my food. I order a meatball grinder and it was amazing. The meatballs are fresh and the sauce was good. This will be a mainstay for my lunches when in Hartford.“

“Amazing homemade Polish food. I think the best croquettes (krokiety) i have ever had (had the meat ones). Plus very tasty bigos. I did not have a chance to try other stuff they have, so couldn't make my opinion on their pierogies.It is also a store, with a great variety of polish food.Highly recommended for snacks: a lot of delicious and cheap Polish snacks: try chałwa and ptysie! They also have Polish chocolate if you like European chocolate.“

The few negative reviews I see on here seem to reflect people who are out of their element more than validly critical.Definitely our favorite breakfast spot in our neighborhood. Also worth noting that based on how terrible food options are downtown after the office workers go home, being open on Saturday is practically a public service in Hartford.Thanks!“
