“Great mom and pop poke, sushi, boba, teriyaki and more! Food is consistently good and they have a great variety of items to choose from. We always get ours to-go, but the restaurant has a decent amount of inside tables to eat that are clean. Nice cool air conditioning for a hot day. They also have tables outside. Our go-to spot for poke in Hamden.“

“The Whale Tea makes some very delicious Boba!!! I have been a couple times and it is consistently good each time. My personal favorite is the mango fruit tea with strawberry popping bobas. If you prefer classic milk teas, this is also the place for you. I do have to say, the service isn’t so great, because the workers aren’t super kind. Over all, to this is an incredible Boba Shop!“

“Taichi Bubble Tea is a chain with 49 locations serving up bubble tea, ramen, and poke bowls. The first location opened in 2015. This one is located in New Haven and is in walking to other great dining locations. Parking can be found on-street and nearby garages.

I stopped in for a Thai iced bubble tea with grass jelly. There were a few kiosks there you can place your order at. The location was big with plenty of tables and seats. I got my drink within 10 minutes and it was great; I like mine with less ice and less sugar. I look forward to going back to try out their ramen and poke bowls.“

“The food is pretty good and authentic. Wide array of options that you can’t find in Ct. Clean and tidy establishment. Nice presentation of the food. Love that they have sauces at the table like pepper flakes, chili oil and fish sauce just to name a few. I’ve had the pho, papaya salad, and larb. Love that they have a Laos or Thai style option of the papaya salad. The waitress is also the hostess and she is very sweet and attentive. The only criticism I have is I asked them to not put sugar in the food but it came out sweeter than my liking. I prefer more spicy and sour. But I still give them 9/10 and I would definitely recommend and I cannot wait to try the rest of the menu 😊“

“If you love great food, excellent service, and a trendy atmosphere, this restaurant is a must-visit. Our son, who’s a huge fan of noodles, insisted we try this place while we were in town, and it did not disappoint. The service was exceptional, truly going above and beyond.

To start, we ordered the KFC Bao buns and the red oil dumplings. The Bao buns were delightfully soft with crispy chicken, while the red oil dumplings were generously filled with meat and came with an excellent sauce. For the main course, our son enjoyed the Pho Bo Vien, which was said to be delicious, packed with plenty of meat and veggies.
