“Since the new ownership in the past year, the quality of pizza has picked up. Taste, quality and attention to detail has improved. Sadly this last time, I was told my pizza would be ready in 55 min, an hour later I was there to pick up and was told it would be 15 more min, long story short it was 1.45 hrs in total. They had a no show and were short staffed, if you need a job , u might want to check in here to see if help is needed.“

“Middlefield pizza is under new ownership as of the middle of February 2024 and I have been looking for a great Greek pizza nearby, well I don't have to look any further. We placed an order for takeout, but they now have seating at the restaurant, so next time we will dine in. The dining area is bright and cheerful with plenty of seating. The staff is friendly and the owner George, loves to chat as well. The pizza was fantastic!!!! We had the house special, which had the right amount of sauce, it wasn't too tart and tomatoey nor was it too sweet (there must be a secret recipe here for this) and the crust was cooked to perfection! The pizza was topped with thin slivers of sweet onions and green bell peppers, pepperoni, chunks of sausage, perfectly sliced mushrooms and we made a substitution of bacon instead of hamburger. The pizza was topped with just the right amount of cheese, not too much, not too little. This truly was the perfect Greek pizza. I am certain this will be my new go-to pizza place for Greek pizza.“

“This is by far the best pizza in southington ct! When we moved here, we were looking for good pizza in Southington and we stumbled upon them. Not only were they the closest pizza near me in southington, they were out favorite after trying a few. The owners are so so sweet too. Try their chicken parm, salads and grinders as well. “Sal worked with us for my grandsons baptism party. The roast beef was tender and flavorful. Lemon chicken was amazing. Roasted vegetables with hot peppers, WOW! Roasted potatoes, fantastic! “I want to start the review by saying that I do have a background in culinary being an executive chef for many years and now teaching culinary.My wife and I decided to try this place for dinner and we're not disappointed. In fact, we had a great experience!I want to also say that everything there is made in house, using quality products, including the rolls for the sandwiches. My wife and I split a rigatoni Bolognese to start. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the meat sauce was authentic and delicious. Next we had a meatball calzone with ricotta cheese and mozzarella. The dough was so good as I was cutting pieces with the meatball and cheese making like little sandwiches, I can honestly say it was great! We also ordered a pizza which is made thin crust nice bubbles coming out of the oven, beautifully brown on the bottom crispy crust. The tomato sauce and cheese of a high-quality as well as the other toppings. I would rate this pizza, an 8.8 out of 10. Leaving room for the pizza meccas In New Haven. If you don't want to drive an hour, I recommend you try the pizza here! I had to try a half an order of shrimp scampi, the shrimp were done perfectly not overcooked, linguini was al dente, and the sauce is about as good as I've ever had, capers, sliced fresh garlic, lemon. I also ordered an Italian cold cut grinder to go with plenty of mortadella, capicola, salami, and pepperoni reminiscent of Franklin giant grinder in the south end of Hartford. I planned on reviewing the restaurant so we also have lunch tomorrow! It's a gem in Cromwell that shouldn't be missed!“

“I have been coming to East side pizza since I moved to that side of town in 1995. The best pizza in town.... Possibly the state. I have since moved to the West side of town, but still remain a loyal weekly customer. I pass by numerous other pizza joints to happily go to my favorite pizza place. They serve a Greek style pan pizza. I love just their plain cheese pizza, but I am older and usually red pizzas no longer sits well with me. I normally get a white pizza with eggplant, bacon and ricotta.(my absolute favorite) Or white with meatball and onion. The brothers that own the place are very sweet and always take good care of my order. They are teaching the next generation and I am hoping I will be able to continue getting great food for the next 30 years.“

“I took my wife here for a second birthday dinner last summer. We had received a gift certificate from a friend. Best clams casino I ever had. The lasagna was awesome and the portion was more than Icould eat. My wife said her meal was excellent. Our waitress was very personable, accommodating and made the dining experience here very enjoyable. At the time when I went, there was another major party going on just arriving with Quinnipiac university which these women filled up most of the dinning area. I did call ahead of time and put a last minute reservation but still this restaurant needs to expand and have a separate area for parties it is way too small. A lot of people don't like to sit at the bar area for dinner squeezed into a booth with a noisy party eating buffet style.“

“I usually love their pizza but I would recommend going there in person for it or double checking it lately. Ordering online doesn't work since its hard to customize pizzas and ots a 10 minute longer wait minimum. We got 2 pizzas for pick up ordered over the phone. 1st the girl was handling more than one phone at a time so not really knowing if we had her full attention. 2nd we ordered the oozy egg no proscute with an extra egg instead. there was no proscute but also no extra egg and the eggs were on only half the pizza. my hubby asked for a side of red pepper flakes they gave him .5oz, kind of stingy. the 2 pizzas came to $38+ and at that price they could at least pay attention and get the order right. Even if they might have been busy, at least do a quality check or read the order back to the customer so it is right.“

They have fantastic salads (try the Greek, buffalo chicken, and chef!) served with garlic knots; appetizers (our favorites are the sweet potato fries, potato skins, and tri-sampler); grinders, and omelets... and we have a lot more to try.Staff is always super friendly and efficient. Bags of chips and soda or vitamin water are available and there are food merchandise items like olives, pasta, and Vienna fingers to buy. Nice little market-style store to browse. “Tried Jimmy's Pizza for the first time last night. I was craving a greek style pizza with a thicker crust. My husband went and picked it up and there was a child's birthday party going on and it was utter chaos inside the restaurant with children running around screaming and trying to get into the kitchen. My husband said the staff was doing their best trying to keep the children out of the back but it was pretty crazy. We ordered the meat pizza and it was supposed to be ready just before 6pm. They were running behind and it was another 15-20 minutes before it was ready. I do have to say that the pizza was fantastic. The crust was buttery and light. The sauce was tangy with the perfect amount of cheese and toppings. We will definitely be ordering again. Hopefully next time we will miss the birthday party. LOL.“

“Nice little towny bar. Cash only but they do have an ATM in case you find yourself without cash. They have a couple pool tables in a separate room than the bar which is always nice and roomy.
