I really don't have time to write this review in between dining and savoring the outstanding flavorful delicious dishes prepared by a talented chef!!!This wonderful family owned establishment takes pride in purchasing the freshest ingredients! The dance in your mouth flavor of each dish is ridiculously mouth watering and delicious. The presentation if you can take a minute to appreciate it before diving into this wonderful blessing to your palate?? is worth taking a picture. (So sorry the amazing aroma and vision of these dishes, no photo it was an afterthought)??My lovely daughter discovered this wonderful gem and I'll drive two towns over to get there, 25 minutes, it's so worth it. “We mixed it up a little today by having Japanese and Korean. So we started with their 3 Sushi luncheon special with miso soup. We had the avocado , california and salmon sushi's. They were all made well - tightly held and evenly cut. Each roll sliced into 4 pieces. I found the sushi rice had a little sweetness and hint of vinegar which was balanced well. They make their own soy sauce which was perfect - a little sweet and slightly salted but more of the low soy flavor. I find regular soy sauce a bit too salty and perhaps a little to heavy. I ordered the SPICEY chicken tteook bokki. If you love food which has heat from the gochujang, sliced stir fried chicken, and beautifully soft but chewy rice cake with carrot and oniions . I love this Chicken ttteok bokki but not for the faint of heart that can't handle the heat. Although you can order this dish sweet instead of spicy as well. My wife order the beef bulgogi. The beef was sliced and very tender. It was marinated evenly throughout and very tastie. It was not spicy but balance with a litlle sweetness and saltiness. The dish was stir fried deliciously with cut broccoli. Of course it came with a cup of cooked white rice to bring everything together. Service was spot on. The waitress timed our food perfectly with an easy constant flow coming. Never felt rush and the waitress came back a few time to make sure all was well. The restaurant was very clean, cozy, moderate modern and yet comfortable. This could be one of your date night places. Not sure if they serve alcohol or BYOB (Beer) or BYOW (WINE) We had their bottle of Perrier. But Yes Way. I'll be coming back!“
“A really one of a kind restaurant in New Haven with the kind of freshness that makes you feel like you're stuffing your face in aunty's parlor while she insists you eat more. Intimate space, it can get pretty busy on Friday night so try to be mindful of the staff who are trying to get everyone seated and fed in a timely manner.Strongly recommend the soups and the hand pulled noodles. “My family and I were really impressed with our sushi today. We ordered a variety of rolls to take home and eat. While they were all delicious we had nonidea what was what but like I said it was delicious. We will be back for more but maybe we will eat in next time.“
“My favorite restaurant! Since the opening of this Ji Bei Chuan, I come here once a week on average. I have taken every friend to this wonderful restaurant and we all love here.Friendly and considerate team. Good value and delicious food. The manager lady always remember I don't eat green onions, even if I forgot to mention sometimes. She can even tell my voice over the phone! I love her so much!Today I took a picture of dry chicken noodle (~$12 before tax) halfway when I was eating. I don't eat much spicy so the waitress lady kindly put the source beside, therefore I can easily add source to what I need.Don't hesitate to come!Parking: Easy & free parking. “Excellent food. Tastes like it's made with a lot of care and love. My daughter moved her boba. Said it might have been the best she'd ever had. Gyoza was very good. Ramen was good, not quite what we were expecting though. Golden hot was the best.“
“Went with another couple and sat at table in front window, where it was quiet and provided a view of the entire restaurant. Appetizers and sushi were outstanding. The lava cake was amazing. Service was superb. We used to regulars but hadn't been since the pandemic. One of the finest dining experiences in New Haven!“

“I've been here twice now. The first time, we dined in, and yesterday we experienced the hibachi grill! Their sushi appetizers are absolutely amazing—definitely my favorite! They are so flavorful and simply delicious.Although the service was good during our hibachi experience yesterday, the hibachi itself (I tried the house special) was not the best.Despite that, I'll continue coming back for their sushi and appetizers! The ambiance is also very nice.“
“This is an excellent new place in New Haven and one I highly recommend. I’m not kidding, it might be some of the best, most authentic Chinese food in the city. Do the build your own bowl, try the pork broth, throw in a meat and some veggies and you’ve got an awesome meal for a reasonable price.If you’re craving good, authentic, real Chinese food give this place a try - you will not be disappointed!“
“Great Asian restaurant!!! Fantastic variety of Asian cuisine. Some Japanese and some Chinese even some Vietnamese. This is the place for you if you love Asian food. The staff here is very nice also and what stands out is their quality of service. I love seeing good service having been In the service industry doing fine dining for years. Always there for you. It's wonderful for a family dining experience. Defintely swing by for a easy casual bite! There bubble tea is great too :) ? My one feedback is their portion sizes are a little bit small for the price they should make them bigger. “I absolutely adore Blue Orchid. Their food is INCREDIBLE, the pad Thai and crab rangoons are the best I have ever had, and truthfully I have not tasted anything from the menu that isn't delicious. Great happy hour options, and they often have fun and creative drink specials that are worth checking out! This place is more than just a restaurant--its a community space, an art space, and it has become a home away from home for me. Q and Mike have done an incredible job in making Blue Orchid a safe and welcoming space not only for the queer community, but for anyone who steps foot inside their restaurant. The entire staff is so friendly and hospitable and you can tell that they really care about their customers and business. I cannot say enough good things about this place. “Me and my FWB went here for lunch and it was so good. Our server Gina was really great. We stay in New Haven all the time so we're going to come here next time as well!! I got a combo and she got rice we ended up sharing because the servings were big and it was FIRE!!!“

“This place always leaves a little to be desired, but it's not terrible. The sushi isn't very good. Just tastes a little... off. I got the four pepper chicken recently though and it was fantastic. Really tasty. The hibachi is pretty yummy too. Overall, place gets it done in a pinch, but wouldn't go out of my way.“
“Great flavor and attention to detail, large sashimi portions, and fair pricing for the quality and quantity. My only critique for my visit was that the fried oysters were boiling hot inside, and I was given no warning. So I burned my mouth a bit. Additionally, the assorted sashimi had a couple duplicate items in it. I would have liked to see each 2 to 3 piece portion as a different fish to taste. Other than that, I think the best thing was the sashimi portions being double what I typically see at a sushi restaurant.“
“Momo has the best sushi in Fairfield county. We have been regulars for many years and prefer their sushi for its quality, variety and consistency. The service is impeccable and owners Jeffrey and Jasmine are always accommodating. On any given evening you will see that over 50 percent of the patrons are regulars. Can’t recommend Momo enough!“
