“Swung by this place for brunch after our son's hockey tournament. Hands down one of our favorite diners now. The view out the back of the restaurant is simply beautiful. The service was amazing and the food was tasty. We will definitely be back!!“
“The Bridge House offers a strong, upscale food menu with a focus on seafood. The apps and entrees are well presented and taste great. The lobster rolls were hands down the best item of the afternoon. Our only complaint is that we would like to see a stronger, local beer offering.“
“We always enjoy eating/drinking at Dockside anytime of the day or year but we look forward to the corned beef and cabbage pizza!! Wednesday was very busy at 6:15. But we sat at a great table and our waitress, Nicole, was lovely. She was bright and personable and checked in with us several times. It's just that we waited a long while for our beers! But we were fine as we visited with our friends!“
“We went to Milford, CT for a competition so we planned a team dinner at Citrus on Saturday night. And we only have one and half hours from sitting down to finish. Total 30 people includes half of kids aged between 7-13, (one youngster 3-yr old) and all parents. I had to admit, I don't usually give 5 stars to restaurants unless they really worth it. Citrus is one of the few! The food selection is beyond expectations for our group, everyone was so happy for their order. The service is top of the line. Manager Megan is the BEST! She and I worked on the plan one week prior to. She is very detailed oriented and thoughtful. We arrived on time, all the meals were prepared and served within 15mins! (The kitchen had done excellent job to prepare food and serve on time). It was also my daughter's birthday so we brought our own cake, Megan and team accommodated with cutting and distributed to the guests. We left on time after one and half hours later. Most productive and best experience ever! Thank you Megan!“
“I liked the place. Simple and nice ambience. The staff were sweet and friendly. Their service is quick. They are priced reasonably. They also have happy hours, you would want to check the drinks that are included in it before you place your order. Food was good. Parking should not be an issue.“
“Holy Gluten free options! Happened to stop by here on a road trip with my daughter. Both of us have celiac disease. The find me.gluten free app led us here and we were not disappointed. The fish and chips were delicious! They have a dedicated fryer. Definitely would stop again when in CT!!Dietary restrictions: Had a lot of GF options! Dedicated fryer?“
“Grabbed a quick dinner and drinks at the bar prior to a concert. Service is great, happy bartenders! We absolutely enjoyed our cocktails, spicy chicken sandwich, and snapper and pickled chili tacos. As out of towners, we picked 29 Markle based on location and reviews. We were not disappointed! It’s rare to luck out and find an amazing place like this!! Rebecca, our bartender, showed grace under fire with a packed room and a full bar!“
“An oldie but a goodie! I first went to this place in 2013 and really liked it, and recently checked it out and still think it’s great. Love the ambiance, the food is fun and adventurous and the service is attentive. One of my favorite spots in downtown New Haven!“
“Dangle's is a black-owned business in well established downtown. The restaurant is nice and quaint giving you the feels of being connected to the owner and staff. The food was delicious - delivered hot and fresh. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It behooves anyone reading this to try this place out. You won't be disappointed.“
“Love the ambiance of this social-inspiring atmosphere. Televisions were on the current games, the menu was impressive with it's quality and variety. Great beer selection and value! I'd say this is a must stop if you're looking for a social spot in town.“
“I love the grilled chicken Cesar I like the Jay Grill burger it’s so amazing Caesar chicken salad dioblo burger is so delicious and buffalo wings thank you jaygrill I will definitely come againKid-friendliness: The music was kid friendly, and so were the servants everything was nice and fun and I feel like I’m at home“
“I didn't eat. They often have 4 or so bands play on one night, and the performances are always great. This place supports new bands. Some can be loud or not your taste of music, but it's worth supporting musicians everywhere! Check the schedule.“
“Dive Bar is “my favorite place”, top of the list, cream of the crop. I’m a frequent regular and have shared my love for the Dive Bar with my close friends and family with “check in” pots and pictures since it’s inception twelve years ago. Chris and his Staff are top notch, so friendly and welcoming they make you feel right at home immediately. You can always catch a good ballgame or interact with Bar Bingo and enjoy some great music from talented musicians from time to time. If you know, you know ! If not? What are you waiting for? You gotta get here“
“Party of 3. We shared 4 appetizers which were all exceptional. Calamari, octopus, crab cakes with Brussel sprouts and a salad. Followed by dessert. Presentation of food was terrific. The service was prompt and attentive. I'd definitely return.“
“The first night we went the bar service was great! The music was on point and the vibes were so nice. The second night we went the food was so yummy and we really enjoyed our meals! But the service was lacking and awkward. Almost every plate was chipped and some were dirty.“
“A tiny take out only shop. There is no place to sit, no WC. The salad is very good though, fresh, ample size, great mix of vegetables and lettuce, flat bread, dressings. The drink menu is very good as well. The place is expensive, though. 12$ for a salad is a bit high. 6$ for a drink. But the food is healthy and tastes quite good.Service was fast, but a line forms faster. Expect to wait. Service was terse, not friendly, but that might be the pressure of the line. They is only street parking. The place is close to Yale, so there is lots of traffic. Order ahead if you can.“
“First time here, liked it a lot. Comfortable interior in black and white, plenty of seating.Had an excellent Cheeseburger, 8oz perfectly seared handmade patty on Brioche Roll dripping with melted cheese. Well-built and tasty. Fries were as good as the burger. Can't get a better one in Stratford till Riley's opens. They're on the same level. Can't wait to try rest of menu.Lunch is $20, appetizer or side, main dish and a drink. Pretty good deal. Ample convenient parking.“
“South Bay is a favorite with very good food & drinks, attentive service, and a convenient location in downtown New Haven near parking and theaters. The ambience is generally great but I gave it only 3 stars due to the extreme closeness of the tables and restroom shortage. But we still love it and will be back.“
“I love this place! Papi is the sweetest and so is the lady that works there! I’ve been coming to this restaurant for about 15 years. Papi has seen my children grow from little kids to full grown adults!! Hidden Gem I tell you!! I recommend it 100% I promise, you will come back!! :)“
“This place is really nice. It has such an eclectic menu. All the food is fresh. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Sometimes they have live bands. Their drinks are really good too. You're definitely in the show and area. Check it out and in the summer there's lots of outdoor seating with beautiful scenic views of a river“
“The food is delicious. You will wait a bit but the staff checks on you to make sure you're okay or if you need refills on drinks. They're also very accommodating if you ask for something that isn't on thr menu. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.“
“We enjoyed eating outdoors on a nice summer night. There was a bit of road noise and no view of the water but the music was nice and there is a choice between high top, regular and stools all outside. The staff was nice and attentive to the table. There was a bit of a mishap with my meal but they did the best they could to make it right. I only with they told me before my meal came out.I loved the salmon meal! The salmon was tender and juicy and the cream sauce with the veggie combo was the perfect pairing. I only with I got the rice that was listed. I did get to try the onion rings in place of the rice and they were so thick and nicely breaded. They were the best and biggest onion rings I have ever had!The New England clam chowder was more of a Manhattan style with its red sauce base but it was unique with good flavor. The portions except for the cheese pizza were large. The fish sandwich and the fish plate both had about the same large quantity of fish. The menu was large and had lots of options. It was a bit different than what was posted online but it looked like there were some nightly specials. I did really want to try the tacos. All in all, I would go back again just for the onion rings and salmon.Kid-friendliness: Not the most kid friendly menu but the brick oven pizza and onion rings made them very happy.“
“Super cute place in New Haven CT. Feels like home. With home cooking.Owen and I ordered pulled pork platter, We both got the sweet potato casserole. I personally got the collard greens and he got the mashed potatoes. No complaints from either of usDash got the chicken and waffles . They looked so amazing they also had fresh strawberriesAgain no complaintsIf I ever get back down to New Haven I would definitely from the ground revisit here.“
“I’m sure this is a nice place otherwise, but when your tone of voice screams “peon” with every breath, you really need to snap out of it. After watching several people peon voice all over a lady sitting on the stoop who just learned that her sister died, I’m personally over whatever Skull and Bones caché you think you’re engendering as you forget that you have no idea what other people are going through.“
“The food was great. Beet salad was fresh and well dressed. The honeynut squash ravioli and the pappardelle Bolognese were delicious and the portion was just right. The service was very attentive, although a bit too much and to the point of being somewhat intrusive. The server seemed to rush us to order when we were not ready and were at the table every few minutes filling our water. They replaced the silverware from the 1st course which was again, very attentive and were there right away if we needed anything. Also didn't like that a drink was more expensive in the restaurant than it was at the bar upstairs. That seemed odd.“
“What a delightful surprise this place was. My husband and I have been wanting to go to two roads for a while and just never made it there. When the food hall opened, that was a natural place for us to go. We were a little surprised it was across the street from the brewery and almost missed finding it, I'm sure glad we found it because it was a great. I had the chicken sandwich special at lunch, and my husband had the schnitzel. My chicken sandwich was superlative. Not fancy but a large portion of well fried well season chicken on a delicious bun with mayonnaise lettuce and tomato. It came with a slaw that was made from red cabbage and absolutely wonderful. My husband's schnitzel looked dry, but when I took a taste of it, it was not dry at all. It was delicious and well cooked. Lunch for the two of us including beers was under $30. This is definitely a place we will return to and you can be sure I will get that chicken sandwich again.“
“We are so excited that Monty's is open again for the season! Tonight's St. Patrick's Day prix fixe menu had some creative and traditional options from which to choose-hubby had boxty & “best he's ever had” prime rib, & I really enjoyed Caesar salad & planked salmon. The salad included roast tomatoes which elevates it from the usual! The service at Monty's is outstanding-our terrific server was Christina C, and all the additional staff we encountered were friendly and engaging. We look forward to more dinners here, in particular outside when the weather allows!“
