“Just because the owners may appear Chinese that does not mean they did not immigrate from Puerto Rico. Many Chinese who lived in Cuba emigrated to Puerto Rico after Castro in 1959, and from PR they later came to the mainland US, especially the New York area. I've been coming here for years and I can tell you the food is authentic and excellent.“

“Pernil sandwich, alcapurria, chicken pincho, and cheesecake were all fantastic. Cash or credit accepted. Atmosphere was very casual with people coming in and out, kids playing in front, and a lot of conversation between customers, management, and kitchen staff. Very neighborly place with friendly service and great food.“

“My many years of going to this restaurant. I'd never, ever been disappointed in the service the quality of food. I could never take a Pic of my order because as soon as I get home I pray to God for EVERYTHING!!! As I say AMEN I got a month full of food, forget to take those pic's. To me a New haven, CT landmark.

“We ate here last night and the food and service were wonderful! What was even more wonderful was the customer service when I left my purse at the restaurant. I called later that night to see if it was there. They were so kind and kept my bag and made arrangements to get it to me this morning before they opened. Would definitely go back!“
